Another great local find! I had no idea they had been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-in, and Dives. His picture is on their menu! The food was very tasty, good size portions, and was served quickly! Small outdoor patio was full with customers enjoying the beautiful weather. Full bar allowed us to enjoy an adult beverage with dinner.

While looking for something unique and tasty I saw that this place had been on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives so decided to give it a try. Went on a busy Friday evening the wait time was 45 minutes but I found a spot at the bar. It looks cool inside with all the decor. I started with Lilikoi Mule it was refreshing and I'm a big fan of anything with passion fruit in it. For entree, I ordered the Hawaiian combo bowl which came with Huli chicken, pork katsu, and sweet chili shrimp which was served with rice, Mac salad, and pickled cabbage. The shrimp was my favorite followed by the chicken the pork could've used a tad bit more seasoning. Overall great meal filling. Service was good as well. I'd definitely return.

This place is popular! We went on a Thursday night, no reservation but it was packed. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait so went for a walk around the area, but our table was ready in about 10! I ordered the huli chicken bowl and my friend tried the poke bowl. We were intrigued by the bbq but had plans to get bbq the next day. No regrets as we both enjoyed our bowls! The mac salad was really good and the pickled cabbage was a nice addition. Chicken was tender and flavorful and the portion size was good.

We happened to be in the area for a short day trip in Asheville and came across Hulu Sue's. It was our first time trying Hawaiian food but definitely will not be our last! Service was great! The server explained all the variety of dishes and made great recommendations. The ambiance is cute, beachy, laid back. The food was so good. We couldn't eat it all in one serving , the leftovers tasted like they were freshly made when we heated them up.

Huli Sue's is a cool and creative little spot on the outer side of businesses at Grove Arcade. Menu selection was sizable with some really cool creative dishes. Everything was made perfectly and tasted even better. Service was outstanding. Everyone was close by and checked in often. Very friendly, helpful, courteous, and truly customer driven. Loved my time at Huli Sue's! Most certainly will be back!

The flavors of the chicken were a perfect balance of sweet and salty. It was grilled to perfection! The mac salad was also great. The restaurant is so inviting, clean, and a breath of fresh air. The real stars of the show were the staff! Our hostess and waitress were so kind and quick.

I was visiting Asheville for a conference and decided I didn't want conference food for lunch. My husband and I quickly got a table outside to enjoy the weather. Our server came quickly and shared the daily specials. I ordered fish tacos and my husband ordered a Hawaiian combo bowl. Both were delicious! The portions were large and I could not eat both tacos. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!

I was doing a little sight seeing in Downtown Asheville and found a great place to eat. Huli Sue's BBQ and Grill is located at 1 Page Ave Ste 150, Downtown Asheville in a beautiful space with indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to call ahead for seating with the wonderful staff because this place gets packed and for good reason. This place doesn't just make regular BBQ but a mix between Texas and Hawaiian BBQ! If you're looking for that savory/sweet heavy caramelized bark, deep pink smoke ring, and meat that melts in your mouth of a brisket or those Big Island flavors of Loco Moco, Hawaiian bowls, and Mahi Mahi look no further. I made the very tough choice to choice the sampler served with juicy brisket, tender pulled pork and succulent ribs with a cornbread that was absolutely out of this world and a side. My side was the very fresh and mellow flavored Cole slaw that I used as a pallet cleanser between meats. On the table they had three BBQ sauces, the LiLikoi gold which was a sweet yet tangy tropical mustard that pared well with the ribs, the Crackseed which had a sweet but peppery flavor and went well with the brisket, and the Paniolo sauce with tasted like a regular BBQ except with a Smokey taste which went great with the pulled pork! If you're ever in Asheville make sure you put this place on your itinerary!

Huli Sue's was the perfect pre-show dinner spot. We were in Asheville last month for a comedy show and walked over for drinks and dinner beforehand -- such a great choice. We had some really fun, delicious drinks to start, and the bartender was friendly and on point without being overbearing. The space itself felt just right -- not too big, not too cramped -- and everything was clean (including the bathrooms, which always matters). Food-wise: wow. My husband ordered the Hawaiian teriyaki burger, and I got the Hawaiian combo bowl with huli chicken, pork katsu, and sweet chili shrimp, served with rice, Hawaiian mac salad, and pickled cabbage. Oh. My. God. So good. Everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and super satisfying. I couldn't quite finish my bowl (portions are generous), but I really wish I'd had room for dessert because they all looked amazing. Great food, great drinks, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere -- we'll absolutely be back next time we're in Asheville.

Service and food was outstanding! Cute kitschy interior. (We were on a road trip and wanted to stop for some good food but didn't want to spend too much time). Fresh lemonade was a treat along with a lot of other refreshing libations. I ordered the seared poke bowl- which did not disappoint and my partner got the pulled pork sandwich- all was delicious! Loved the Ruben! Huge and perfect for sharing. The cole slaw is delicious when a touch of herbs. The pineapple hard cider is out of this world! Great service.

Wowowowoowowow. Huli Sue's does NOT disappoint. We had a reservation in advance, this place was packed! Everything was so delicious. We had the blue Hawaii and mai tai, nachos and fries to start, and all our entrees were delicious. SO much food for the price - it was well worth it, we took half home! Service was great, honestly can't wait to come back!

I was relieved to see they had a parking lot with free parking though since my prior 2 days in Asheville I struggled to find parking everywhere I tried to go. We ordered 2 create your own poke bowls with the 3 proteins. When I saw what was classified as "protein," I was disappointed because although they had a lot of options for protein, the menu only allowed for an option of 2 or 3 protein per bowl. I'm not sure if I could've asked for more, but I just went by the menu and ordered 3. But I had a hard time selecting because there was multiple proteins I wanted. I was able to rule out scallop which I normally ordered because theirs looked incredibly dry though. I also wanted to order spicy crabmeat which is another usual, but most poke places do not consider that a protein and it comes as a complimentary topping usually so I was disappointed I couldn't order that here as it would've counted as my protein. I decided on spicy salmon, salmon, and spicy tuna. In the end, I was pleased with my choices and bowl. They allow you to choose as many mix ins as you want (at least 10 options)- I think I picked all but 3 of them. They have a variety of sauces- again, I think 10 different ones. They were unique sauces that I hadn't seen before at other places as well. I went with siracha aioli and sweet shoyu. I had to ask for a little of each since they are generous with the sauce. My husband and I shared a bowl and it was enough for both of us. The ingredients tasted and looked very fresh. They give very generous portions of fish. Probably the most I've ever been given on my poke bowl, actually. My sister ordered the scallop despite it looking dry and she said it was actually not bad as well. We were all quite pleased with our bowls and definitely would come back!

I wasn't starving so I had a kid's size poke salad, it was delicious with all the toppings I chose, and I wasn't bloated when I left. I had the spicy crab as my protein and liked it. Everything I had was fresh and they fixed it up fast. Can't complain! I got to try Cheerwine off the soda fountain for the first time, that stuff is good. I mixed it with diet pepsi to keep from drinking too much sugar.

There's been many sushi restaurants come and go since then. There are Sushi/ Japanese/Hibachi restaurants in the area, however this one is truly a wonderful restaurant to visit it's quaint and down to earth-place, this is why I highly recommend this restaurant this is restaurant. with great personality. Zew is. Owners he is a delight to talk with, you see the passion in his face when he's talking about his food that he's created the original rolls that he makes. I recommend trying the Rangoon roll. Which is very much a difference between the Chinese way of cooking the noodles. As much as I'd like to give five stars I cannot because I rarely give five stars. I love this place.
