SCAM - DO NOT USE DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I had my Furnace and A/C installed by this company a few years back. 2 weeks ago, I had an issue with the contactor shorting and blowing the fuse to turn the A/C on. The thermostat was not getting any power. I called for a service call to have the contactor replaced. When John arrived,we discussed the issue. He started cutting wire here and there telling me he's bypassing the thermostat. In testing for power, the fuse keeps blowing out. So, then he goes and replace the contactor and finally got the a/c running, now the compressor was making some noise. John starts cutting wires again telling me he's bypassing to see if the compressor is bad. After 2 hours, he tells me the compressor is bad and I will needs a new a/c unit for $4,600.00. A replacement was never an option. Long story short, I called another company and it took 1 hour to replace the contactor and the compressor kicked in just fine. All and all it was the technician error on connecting the wires to scam me on buying a new a/c unit. BEWARE WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

We just had our furnace tune-up yesterday, and the Humble guys continue to go above and beyond. Our furnace had a leak that was flooding our laundry room (so we had a bucket under the leaky part that we had to dump every few days.) The Humble guy, while here for our tune-up, told us we were simply missing a cap on the external drain box. He went out to his truck, found a cap that worked, and fixed the problem without charging us. Humble is the most honest company in town. The guys couldn't be nicer or more competent at what they do. I have been a customer of Humble Heating for over 25 years. I have found the last two service calls there prices have been much higher than competitors. Once was for 410 freon on my air conditioner. It could be bought online for about 25% of what they charged me. We I questioned them they told me I didn't have a license and couldn't buy it. True. However, I contacted several other Air conditioner companies and all were cheaper. This last time they replaced the DC motor module. Also extremely high priced. They charged me for a piece of test equipment that they bought to insure that the module was actually bad. When I questioned them on that they said they would give me a discount when I needed a new furnace. I said no I paid for the test equipment, I want it. Eventually, they refunded that portion, as they actually needed it for other potential customers. Again, at one time I thought they were a very good a reasonable cost company. I think they changed their mind on the reasonable price idea. read more

TOTAL SCAM - RUN AWAY Hired them to do furnace tune-up before the cold weather hits. They came in and told me we need one part replacement and the part will cost $90. The guy was like it's better if you change it now since we are working on the unit so will only pay for the part, not service/labor charge. I trusted them and didn't even ask what it was that they are changing. Later on the day, when I was reading through the invoice I realized the part they changed was 7.5 mfd capacitor. I had experience working for HVAC related company before and knew right away they conned me and a Capacitor does not cost $90.Just to double check I checked online and there you go - the cost of a capacitor is around $2-$10. I called them right away and the owner goes well yeah the capacitor is cheap but we pay a delivery charge and stock them that cost us blah blah blah,.I told him GIVE ME A BREAK I understand a business has cost and has to make a profit but you don't add 1700% (if you consider the capacitor cost them $5) markup to the product. That is unethical and borderline fraud. He was like I am out of my shop, I will call you later to get to the bottom of it. I Waited for many days but no one called so called them back, another guy answers this time and gave me same Delivery cost BS - I was like cut the crap if you don't charge me reasonably and charge something like $20/$30 (which still has more than healthy margin) for the capacitor I will let everyone on the internet know your shady business practice. Now he softens up a little and offered me 20% off meaning charge $72 for the capacitor. I told him I don't need your 20% refund, you keep that I will rather let everyone know that you are a con man and people should avoid you. If they had come just to change the capacitor and charge me $90 for service and the part It would have been ok but $90 for just the part, that's daylight robbery. I will never use them again and all you who thinking to hire them just be aware they will screw you up. EDIT: THIS EDIT IS IN RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENT BELOW. I tried twice to solve this but all you gave me was BS. You know my number, so if you want to fix this, you can call me and fix. You will not find a better HVAC company. We've been using them for 20+ years and they are amazing. Their customer service is too notch and they always go out of their way to make sure I'm satisfied. We get the spring and fall tune ups on our furnace and AC and they always give us the new customer discount. I told especially compelled to write a review for them today. I woke up to find that my house was 52°. Yep, the coldest day so far and my furnace went out. I called Humble Heating at 8 AM and by 9 AM I had a technician at my house. Sadly my 20 year old furnace finally died. However by 11:30 am I had a brand new furnace installed and running and heating my home. Like you dear reader I appreciate when a customer takes the time to write a review, and I read them to help me decide who I would like to do business with. I believe Joe and the Humble team work hard, and probably most of their customers are satisfied with their work. That has not been the case with our unit. We did a new install full HVAC 120BTU furnace and I believe 1.5 ton AC - June 2019 just under 3 years ago. I had to ask for basic install work to be completed for example removing old concrete pad from my yard, asking that an obvious gaping hole in one of the air vents be sealed, and subsequently I have had the Humble team out 5 times for multiple failures. Do I think all of those are their fault - no. But the install was suspect from the start and final straw was today when the AC would not come on (first hot day in 2022). I called and couldn't get the Humble team to come out same day. That I get - it's busy, and I'm sure they were slammed. They said they would come out asap but might be 1-2 days. OK. But considering the multiple issues since install, I decided I would check around and get a 2nd opinion. Got another HVAC company out today same day and they identified a broken low voltage wire. Wire was 50 years old, certainly worked when Humble did their install I admit, but probably should have been replaced during new unit install in 2019. Bigger issue from today's assessment was that new company suggests increasing return return air flow for longevity of the unit (ie we wouldn't have done it this way and you're going to have shorter useful life because your static pressure running through system is too high), and that should have been installed that way from the start. Bottom line - I hope this provides food for thought for the next potential customer. No one can win them all, but in my experience the install job for my system was not satisfactory, and I now have a 2nd opinion to confirm it. Going with other company and hope next few years are trouble free. read more

We looked at SEVERAL HVAC companies before choosing Joe and his family and we are very happy with our choice. Joe came out when he said he would, gave us a very very competitive offer for a new furnace and AC system and helped us solution our existing air flow problems in our house. On top of that, the day we signed our contract he had someone come out and fill up our old unit so that we didn't bake in 100 degree weather until our install date. They were the only company to offer that level of service. The install was professional and relatively quick and we've had no issues thus far. I really really really like these guys. We needed to replace our furnace and ac because the ones I had were older than dirt. We got estimates from 5 companies. I always do 5 it's easier to figure out who is milking you or low balling. We had one estimate for 9k. That went in the trash the minute the guy walked out the door. We have a 1700 sf house not a McMansion. We had one guy say 2k. Now even I know you're not replacing 2 whole units for only 2k unless it's with used units. Then there was 3. They were all pretty comparable in cost but what made the difference was the guy that came to my house. I forgot his name sorry. He came in looked at what we had and what we needed. Didn't try to push any one unit over the other. He listened to US and also educated us about what we needed and didn't need. It's a family owned and operated business. I like that. I like that because most family owned businesses take pride in their work and they want to make sure they do good job. The reputable ones do at least and they are. Referrals are key to any business big or small and so they're going to do a great job. I will be moving soon:( but I will continue to use them when we move into our new home. read more

We had used Humble a couple times to clean our 1993 Amana HVAC system. Then, our furnace at times refuse to ignite. Called Humble and Chris was sent out the next day. Furnace would refuse to ignite gas and I would have turn it off then on until it did. Furnace would then work for a day when issue would return. Chris did not immediately try to sell me a new furnance, just asked questins, looked at the furnance. Chris cleaned a sensor and fixed the ignitor retention clip. Fix worked and I was charged a minimal amount for an hour of work. read more

I called humble heating. They came twice and replaced the circuit board and fixed the problem for about 30 days but did not resolve the issue. We wasted over $600. I called again and the conversation became unfriendly and hostile so I decided not to use them again. read more

They've been happy to keep my old AC & furnace running, and that's why when it was time to replace my furnace today i chose them for the work. Great company . Joe is not only very knowledgeable in his profession but will give you options to decrease costs if needed. He has always been on time and responds to calls within a few hours. His pricing is at least half of his competitors as he is smaller company but still very well equipped with low overhead which the savings gets passed on to you the buyer . He usually has adds in flyers with great deals . I've used him for 2 jobs going on my third . no offense to his brother as it is family owned but when you call ask to speak with Joe he will call back immediately. I had a unique heat air outfit out and they wanted over doubled of joes price and they gave no relevant information in picking out what you truly need vs told what need . Absolutely trust this company and I believe he offers a 5 yr warranty with yearly service cleaning at extra cost but still prices can't be beat.
