I have eaten at Humdinger Pizza about 5 times now. Most of these visits have been to grab a slice of what the daily pizza is. Once I bought a whole pie. I'll have to say that the pizza here is pretty good quality. The crust is very reminiscent of a New York pizza. Thin and chewy but with a nice flavor. The toppings and sauce are also pretty good quality. Humdinger by the slice deal is one of the best around. Their slices are monster sized. One slice is larger than a dinner plate. This translates into something a of bargain. I would say that if you live in the area this place is worthwhile pizza. However, if you are not local it's not someplace that is so outstanding that it is worth driving considerable distance to try. read more

Ordered a Humdinger, completely worth it. We tried the Spicy Hawaiian, very good! It is spicy, beware. The ambiance is friendly and clean, we were able to push tables together so all 9 of us could.sit together and enjoy the Pie. Crust was crispy while remaining soft and airy at the same time. Sauce that came with our pizza was Chipotle based and delicious. Would have been 5 stars but the staff seemed too shy to be in food service and unfortunately messed up our order. Wasn't detrimental, but enough for it to not be a 5 star experience. We'll be back, and will update this review accordingly. read more

I'm here now to pick up a to go order. I had received a text saying it was ready. I mistakenly forgot a mask to go in. The back employee working the ovens was obviously irritated I didn't have a mask on. I'm fully vaccinated and the mandate starts sat to no longer mandate masks. I wasn't overly worried. Before I could even speak when I got to the counter he snapped "go back out and get a mask!" I said can you please check I am just a pick up order that's paid for (with tip-the unfortunate part of tipping ahead) The employee working the counter was checking I smiled hoping to get past the previous comment from back. The oven guy stops and hands me a mask. Mind you everyone eating indoors has no mask but whatever I put it on. I don't have a problem with masks I just forgot. Then the counter employee comes back and says "11more minutes!" I said "weird, I got a text saying it was ready before I left my house." Not in a irritated tone just curiously weird. He then snaps at me (obviously sharing distain for my disregard of the soon to be over mask rules) "Don't know what to tell you!" I wait 15min and go back in masked and pick up my pizza. Looking at the other table of unmasked customers. I'm hoping they were busy earlier as they are not now or one of them has an important event after work and I'm delaying that. Something to treat me like that with no welcome no thank you when leaving. Sorry I left a tip. I don't know if I'll be back. Luckily the quality of pizza is good that's the reason for 3 stars! We bought 2 of their specialty pies and the cheesy bread. They're quality of dough is good, along with texture overall. However, the flavors of everything were completely off:( The topping combos sounded good but ended up being so weird. The cheesy bread and the marinara that it came with...honestly tasted so bad. We spent $55 and ended up throwing away over half of our food:( If you're going to order from here, I would probably stick with classic pepperoni or cheese. Side note: A can of San Pelligrino for $3.50?? And the server who helped me was not friendly at all, when I walked in with a smile and said "Hi how's it going?" he replied with a frown: "are you picking up an order?" Nice. Truly awesome staff and even better pizza. They have a great ratio of sauce to toppings. The dough is light and airy while having a nice crunch and GREAT "chew". I'm not the biggest fan of Detroit style pizza, but their specialty square pies are genuinely some of the best I've had. Cold beer. Great people. Fantastic pizza. read more

We came here for pizza week and they were another place that sold whole pizzas for $16, but only gave you 6 slices. They also sold by the slice and we could clearly see that the $2 slice was the same size as the slices in our whole pizza. Bad look. Then we get to the confused service. We come in with no one waiting for pizza or anything so figured it would be relatively quick (no online ordering for pizza week). A little annoying they didn't update the site for pizza week, but they're close so it's not the biggest deal. Female at the counter is doing something on the POS system and doesn't greet us. After a moment she acknowledges us enough to say she's having issues. No problem. Someone else comes over and she just leaves so we let the new female know we want to place an order. We do and shortly after more customers come in for pizza week. We're standing there, checking out their digs (which are pretty nice). We see them make the special then proceed to cut it up and give slices to customers who came in after us. Now we have a problem. They can sit with their beer and wait their turn. Besides which, the longer they're there the more likelihood to sell a second round. Then we watch them give pizza to another person who came in after us. We can see another guy getting antsy for his order too. They didn't take a name or anything and seemed very disorganized the entire time. So when a pizza and something else was ready antsy guy tries to cut me off to take the pizza. No way. I walk right up and ask if that's my pizza week special, and we'd been there for probably half an hour now so they knew we'd been waiting. He gave it to me while the guy who knew he came in long after us (he kept walking right past us) tried to get it and was told his will be next. I hate line cutters. Had I not walked up though they were ready to give yet another order to someone who came in after us. Get it together people! Get the pizza home and it was okay. It seemed like they figured spicy was the same as flavor. It was just spicy. In fact, too spicy for me to eat more than a single slice. It was just a lackluster experience. Now they're really pretty close, so I might be willing to try them again sometime. At least now I'd know the service might be garbage. read more

When I first walked in, everything seemed very nice and clean. The people weren't friendly and seemed to be very cold. The person in the back was singing very loudly, but then had the audacity to tell me to mute my phone when it wasn't loud at all or disturbing anybody bc the place was basically empty. They also had really loud music playing. So taking the singing and everything into consideration, that was just out of pocket. The food was very mid and oily. The pictures make it look better than it really is. The man with the long hair also just had an unnecessary staring problem. read more

I wish I could put into words how terrible of an experience was. I have high hopes because this was built very close to where I live and because I am a pizza aficionado to say the least. The worst quality ingredients you could ever ask for we're in this pizza when advertised they say it's local and fresh. We quite literally would not feed it to the dog it was so bad. Each time I try Humdinger, the pizza keeps getting better! The first time I tried was right after their opening so there were a few quality issues but the second time I ordered- everything was great! Their salad options are fresh and a healthy size and cocktails to-go were very boozy and tasty. I called in my order and was told our 2 pizzas would take 30 minutes. We arrived 40 mins later and we're told it would be another 30 mins and it was. I paid almost $60 and when I got home saw two soggy and floppy pizzas with barely any toppings and too much sauce. Good pizza! Wasn't a fan of the heavy/doughy knots but the sauce was delicious. They have some beers on tap and I think cocktails, too. Stopped in during PIZZA WEEK with a few friends that needed to simply get out for a while. We had their special pizza...the "Taco" pizza and holy-wow, it was DELICIOUS. So many flavors and fresh ingredients; the sauce wasn't too thick and the level of heat was just right! Ok, so, the pizza...not the toppings, but the pizza itself was just as AMAZING. I'm a bit of a pizza snob, I'll admit, and I LOVE pizza...I was really happily please at how GOOD the crust and base of the pizza was. First time to the new Lents pizza spot humdinger, really really good!! We got a fully loaded sedan, garlic knots and an Italian salad. Everything was super good, the pizza crust is awesome. At first glance when I opened the box, It had the utility pizza look, but god dam, it's anything but. It has that brick oven black char, with light fluffy crum. Chewy and delicious. Their crust is fire. Really tasty quality cheese and toppings, fresh veg and big sliced pepperoni and salami. Garlic knots are good, small amount in an order, but tasty. The Italian salad was surprisingly good. Super fresh veg, romaine, arugula, and the citrus dressing was awesome. 5 stars y'all, please support this local shop, they are doing great and I'm sure it will only get better! read more

This pizza restaurant is fairly new but truly should be a pizza lover's favorite. When I entered the restaurant the first thing I saw was a hand sanitizer station, which I was so glad to see! The main room is huge, well ventilated and full of amazing aromas! The pizza options were plentiful and suited for people that are GF, vegetarian etc. After ordering, we ventured into the separate bar area and then to the outside seating area, sporting a fire pit. Truly wonderfully spacious seating areas, perfect for social distancing! The pizza was perfectly cooked, the crust crispy, the toppings in perfect proportion and the beer tasty! We ordered a vegetarian pizza with pesto sauce, which was amazing! We also ordered a humdinger Hawaiian pizza and were astounded by the size of the pizza but even more so when we tasted the pizza. You can get whole pizza or a slice. I like get them before the concert. It's near by and better than the Pizza Hut and dominoes

We stopped in around 1pm on Friday, June 18. It was our first visit and we ordered a Margarita pizza as we always do at a new pizza place. It was delicious! The dough is fermented slowly at low temperature so very flavorful and crispy. The sauce was delicious and the generous portion of fresh mozzarella and julienned fresh basil completed the perfect Margarita pizza. The staff was friendly and attentive and patient with my questions about the details of their pizzamaking. We will be back and are eager to try some other specialty pizzas. We drove all the way from Camas, WA, but it is worth the trip. The beer is from Zoiglhaus Brewing and all very good. read more

Got the 12" Hawaiian El Camino. It was f-ing rad. The crust was chewy, yet crispy with just a hint of char. Toppings were all really good and in the right proportions. I wasn't sure if I would like the chipotle tomato sauce, since chipotles in adobo can get out-of- hand spicy really fast, but it was really well balanced! We also ordered the Ceasar Salad and the Italian Grinder Sandwich. Both were spot-on. I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only could I order beer with my delivery, but cocktails too! I figured, why not????? So we got 4 of the Stay-Cool Daddy-o watermelon cocktails...yumm-o! I will definitely be ordering again, looking forward to trying more of the menu! read more

My family had a racist experience very rude evening worker, said I would not go back. But I still went back because I like their meatball sandwiches and figured I would give them another chance have an experienced anything like that sense. Get home and the order was completely messed up: wrong pizza, wrong additional toppings. Tried to call for a partial refund and they agreed to but never got it from them. I'm fairly new to living here and wanted to try a pizza place I had never heard of before and found Humdinger via Yelp. Ordering online is easy and pickup is quick and painless. I had the Hawaiian El Camino and it was very good. Perfect amount of flavorful toppings but the star here is the crust itself. It's the perfect amount of chewy, if that makes sense. Soooo- Some work to do to become amazing, but Humdinger is good. Prices are typical for good pizza. The crust is 80%. A little doughy at the edge. Meats, cheeses and veg are good quality. The house red sauce is good. A bit heavy in oregano which masked other flavors. I had a 16" pie. The sauce and toppings covered about 14" all huddled in the center. I asked to have fresh basil added to my order to be put on after cooking. I got a sprinkle of basil straps cooked on for an additional charge. That was disappointing. Staff are friendly... but need to up their game on the phone. People still call businesses and should have people who know the menue and how to say "Hello" and "Goodbye". Humdinger will pull it together and be 5 stars soon. Worth a stop 4 sure! read more

Foster has at least two better pizza places. It was fine, the space is nice and the employees are great. But the sauce was meh, underwhelming if not too sweet. The ingredients were okay, but not great. the Caesar salad was a literal pound of romaine lettuce (a lot) with 1.75 oz of dressing (not much). Lent's just doesn't need a mediocre pizza place. So I was skeptical to try this place out because it looked like just another fancy Portland pizza place with mediocre Pizza but I decided it give it a try anyways because it's in my neighborhood and I am very glad I did! Pizza is delicious. The crust is amazing and it's affordable pizza. Came and got a slice for $3 and a good beer from Zoigl. Turns out they are owned by the same people that own Zoiglhaus. I had endorsed this business but after seeing that management makes poor decisions towards paying customers it saddens me to say that I will no longer recommend my friends and family to this establishment or Zoigulhouz establishment. I asked for them to make a half and half and to leave a quarter just cheese which I'm sure I got charged like it had meats on it. To be told they can't do this in the future. I'll frequent establishments that will make the customer happy.
