    Taro milk tea
    Diana X.

Came during their grand opening when they were offering 10% off and it was super busy! The staff was doing a great job with how busy they were. I would say that they should offer self service water, it definitely would have helped the servers be less busy just bringing people water. We ran out pretty quickly since the cups were really small but felt bad asking for more due to how busy they were. The inside is nice and they have a machine that allows you to order all the items that aren't part of the poke bar. The restroom was also gender neutral and accessible. The taro milk tea was decent, but I probably wouldn't oder it again with so many good boba places around. The yubu pockets were delicious and I'd definitely love to try more options, really enjoyed the ones we got. I would have also liked some dipping sauce with the waffle fries but the sando was good! The udon was decent as well but the katsu wasn't very crispy anymore once it was inside the soup. Overall, it was great to see a katsu/poke place in this area and I will definitely be back to try more options on their menu! Loved the variety and the freshness of the salad/fish.

    Look at the dirty cauliflower

Disgusting. For their "garlic butter shrimp" they use poor quality bay shrimps and it doesn't even taste like garlic or butter. It's just has an off taste. I got their fried cauliflower and got grossed out eating it because the cauliflower was so dirty, you can see THROUGH the tempura that they didn't clean the tempura. At LEAST cut off the dirty parts. Foul. Waste of money.

Sadly we found the spot to be more disappointing than we what we originally anticipated. The service workers were nice, but sadly I don't think I'd visit again. My friend got herself the spicy sandwich and it turned out to be a sandwich that tasted like sweet and sour sauce. Two of my friends got the beef katsu within their rice dish expecting like a steak katsu, but they said it tasted like a boiled beef patty that had a fried outside. I got myself the sausage rice cakes and they were slightly crisp on the outside with a lightly poured sweet and sour sauce. I think only one friend out of a group of 9 was truly content with there meal. They got the tteobboki katsu, I think he had the best tasting item out of everyone's orders. With the price point and the quality we got, most of my friends gave the place a solid 2/5 sadly. I gotten myself the black garlic udon with the pork katsu. I thought the pork katsu was good, but it would have been nice if the katsu was put on the side instead of in the ramen since me and my friend both noticed that our katsu sank fast and was soggy as soon as we got it. The soup itself wasn't very flavorful and to add spice it costs an extra 25 cents for little to no spice taste in the broth. Some of the items we wanted were also sold out, to be fair we did get there around 7pm! With the average price point and mid food experience, I give this place a 3/5 so that it still has a fighting chance. It's a new establishment, give it a chance.

    Fried Calamari
    Takara H.

Went here very excited to try the food and what I got ended up disappointing me. Dreary cold vibes in the place. Very plain. No personality. Very very long wait for our food. We got the Chicken Katsu plate, Calamari and the Katsudon bowl. Katsu tasted like nothing, totally bland. Rice was ICE cold. The 'Katsu' sauce tastes like straight up Heinz Ketchup. Calamari took 10 minutes to arrive after our main dishes came. Extremely rubbery. The Katsudon bowl was a much smaller portion then what was advertised. We never got our drinks when they said they would be able to get it to us shortly. 3 times. Doubt I'll come back. If I do ill probably give the poke bowl a shot.

    Disappointing Portions

Disappointing Portions Didn't even eat yet and already giving one star. For $17 (+$2 tip), the portion is tiny -- barely any chicken. In Vegas, I pay $11.90 for three full thighs. I get Portland prices are higher, but this is a ripoff. Had I known, I'd have cooked at home. Not worth it.

So so good definitely coming back!

There were large groups of people lining outside but we put our name down on the iPad and got seated within 10 ish mins! Scoreee. This is your sign to be patient cause this Izakaya is so worth the wait! Price point for quality was chefs kiss. You don't really get fresh sushi like this anywhere with reasonable prices! Im taking 5 PCs of otoro sashimi for $25?! Speechless! We outdid ourselves and ordered like 3 rounds of sushi for the three of us and bill came out to $200 ish with drinks! Really easy to do since they had such an extensive menu with just about everything from appetizers, tapas sashimi, hand rolls, nigiri, fried items, sushi ROLLS, ramen/noodles, and skewers! Highlights were definitely the: -otoro (5 pcs ~$25) -salmon medley (salmon belly and 3 other cuts) -scallop nigiri -karaage (5 pcs for $8.99) *pro tip to add their house negi sauce $1 or spicy mayo $0.50 -agedashi tofu (fried tofu) -wagyu beef skewer $8.50 -citrus YTG roll ($15) so refreshing with hamachi (yellowtail), tempura flakes, and a house jalapeño ponzu sauce ! (Apologies for the lack of photos lol. We got too excited since the food kept coming out soo quick we couldn't keep up lol) We also ordered the uni and volcano roll! I might try for the Alaskan roll next time considering it was hard to identify the scallops in the baked roll but still kinda tasty if you're into the warm baked rolls! I was unfortunately really wanting to taste the scallops! Overall we had a great time! Service was nice and attentive! The drinks were really affordable and generous too! My brother in law ordered a chu hi and it came in this huge mug for $14 with an option of refill for ~$7! Such a deal! Arigatou, Hachi!

We haven't eaten here in a while and never in the summer. In the darker, cooler months this is a place that entertains a packed, loud, happy crowd. The food is really good, lots of choice, the service is equally on point. So, a great evening on our cold dark winters. We dropped in last week, so July. Same range of food, maybe fewer items but what we had was more than fine. The service was personable, helpful and the food was delicious. But way, way quieter - turns out Summer is their slow time, more like a neighborhood place and less like party central. We enjoy both, but the slower months allows more focus on the menu. And there might be something not to your taste but given the range you will find a dish that you will enjoy. So, pick your adventure, we like both and you will be happy with the food, the ambiance and the service either way.

This was easily the standout dish and the reason I would come back. Veggie Roll (5/5) Good portions with thick avocado and a solid mix of sesame, carrots, and cucumber. Fresh, clean flavors and very satisfying for a simple roll. Smoked Salmon (5/5) Good, thick pieces with nice smoky flavor. Fresh and well prepared. Overall, the food was consistent and high quality across everything we ordered. Service (4/5): Good overall, though it felt like there was only one hostess working during the rush hour. Because of that, things moved a bit slower than expected, but the staff was still polite and helpful. Ambiance (3/5): There are tables in the main dining area, bar seating, and more tables in the back. It works well for groups and families, but I would recommend making a reservation during busy hours. Parking is the biggest challenge. It is very tight and limited, especially when the restaurant is busy, which adds some stress before you even walk in. Great food and worth the visit, just plan ahead for parking and wait time.
