The pita has a spring to it and the hummus is excellent. The falafels are done just right. One downside is this place doesn't have the compost and recycling receptacles required by SF law. I am still thinking about this meal and that says everything you need to know. My friend and I both got the chicken kebab plate -- subbed the rice for extra salad and added a side of falafel and everything was cooked to absolute perfection. No notes. Let's talk about the chicken because it deserves its own moment. The flavor was incredible, it had this beautiful char on it that gave it just the right smokiness, and somehow it was still perfectly moist throughout. It's the kind of chicken that reminds you what chicken is supposed to taste like. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The falafel was equally delicious, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. It's the kind of side order that could easily be the main event on its own. The staff at this location are incredibly rude and disorganized. We walked in and were completely ignored by the front counter for ten minutes. When we finally got our food, the falafel was burnt on the outside and completely raw and mushy on the inside. The entire plate was swimming in grease. Was craving a healthy dinner after the gym and came across this restaurant. Nice and clean on the interior, wasn't very busy on a weeknight. Ordered the appetizer sampler plate and a greek salad. The hummus is delicious here, salad served with nice warmed pita bread for dipping, and generous portions of each dip on the sampler- baba ganoush and falafels also personal favorites, a nice crisp exterior for the falafels. Sampler plate is perfect for sharing. Greek salad was a good standard type salad. Service friendly and quick, easily got a table to chill and eat inside and enjoy the delicious hummus. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I do not live nearby so I don't get to have this food often but whenever I can, this is my favorite. I have loved everything I have ordered. If I am in a hurry , I get the appetizer sampler platter and I love the pita! I am usually gluten free but I have found their pita works for me. We stumbled upon Hummus and had a great time. He got the falafel wrap and I enjoyed the lamb and beef one. Prices weren't bad and portions were pretty good, as was the service! The interior was light and airy, and there was a solo woman on her laptop in the corner so it could be a good place to work out of and multi-task! The service is super speedy and the the quality of the food is superb! I usually get the Greek salad with Gyro chicken. There are two types of chicken to choose from. Grilled or gyro. Get the gyro! It has lots of seasoning and just tastes better. Their garlic fries are really yummy as well. Think of a healthier version of Macdonald's fries with garlic and bits of Parmesan tossed in. The salad alone is super filling and it also comes with pita bread. The hot sauce on the table is very addicting! The spice is just right and the flavor of it makes me put it on everything. I damn near use it as salad dressing! Lol. As far a prices - my salad, fries and a drink came out to $32 (not including tip). This is about how much a big meal for one person would cost you. Great energy at this corner spot. I usually order the lentil soup. It's really good and comes with some triangles of plain pita and a lemon wedge. It is kinda plain, but it works. We also order the spanakopita. Two decent triangle pieces with a take out size container of the yogurt sauce. He had the chicken and lamb wrap. He really enjoyed the large portion and the cold crunchy lettuce. It was also a perk that the cashier asked him if he wanted the fries inside or outside. He preferred out , and got a big basket of fries. There's this container on the table with salt and pepper. It looks like it could be ketchup but since there was a take out container of ketchup served with the fries, we knew differently. It's secret sauce!! They're not going to tell you what's in it, and that's fine. Try it. I would like them to turn the lights down a little at night and I would also like the sensor in the bathroom to keep the light on a tiny bit longer. Hopefully, you will like it here.
