I tried the meat in eggplant and tomato sauce it came with a side of rice, pita, and salad. I could have gone away with the pita tbh it wasn't that good but the eggplant was superd I'd get it again in a heartbeat!! The salad had an interesting tangy dressing I could have gone lighter handed with it, but still tasty. I also tried the mushroom pide which is the flat bread and let me tell you this was so delicious it actually caught me by surprise!! The bread is light but chewy and the filling had mozzarella, mushroom, and egg. Dip this into their killer hot sauce and you'll be amazed omg. Catered hummus at the beginning of the month for a work team meeting. We ordered online but had a couple of questions so we called the store. They were able to answer our questions so that we could finalize our order quickly. On the day of, they had already started packing our food and had it set for me to easily take to my car. An order at the counter restaurant (or order online), the staff are super friendly and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Food quality and service has plummeted over the past year. Koftedes (lamb & beef) platter ordered on 5/13/24 were left on the grill too long and led to a 20 minute delay getting to the table. Service is cynical at times and how they can ask for a tip when all they do is ring you up and bring your food to table is yet another reason to avoid this place. I've been a customer here since 2005 and have seen the ebbs and flows to this business. The low point was during Covid where they cut back on ingredients to a point of absurdity. Kale Salad is a perfect example. They no longer use dried apricots and have substituted oranges. They've eliminated the toasted slivered almonds. The portion size of salmon is approximately half the size it was five years ago. Rude, arrogant service by Oleh, who clearly sees no value to long term customers. In all my years not a single person has ever tried to develop a conversation with the customer. The customer is treated as a transaction. Compare this to Sapore across the street. Brad the manager there cares about his customers. I go as much for the experience of being valued as much as for the food. Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen has lost my business. Lunch 1/22/22 Looking for a place to eat lunch, we stumbled onto Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen. I ordered the Kofte Kabob with Lamb and Beef, and my husband ordered the Cured Meat Pide. Both were made to order and delicious. The kabob was so tender, juicy, and paired well with their rice, salad, and pita bread. They have seating outdoors. Half the inside of the restaurant is still closed. Inside, they have self serve water at a table. The servers were wearing masks. The place was pretty clean! I ordered gyro plate to go, which comes with a white pita cut in half, salad, and rice. It was more food than I needed for a meal, which is always nice. The salad vinaigrette is a good flavor. For me the gyro meat was too thin and dry, which was disappointing, so I'd probably go with something else next time. The rice was tasty but perhaps a bit over cooked (slightly mushy in texture). Now here's the WORST part.. The meat in the gyro was absolutely disgusting and so dry with absolutely No flavor whatsoever!! With as I said the Tsaiki(sauce) was like water with NO flavor either!! I'm in the restaurant biz and have been for many years, if we ever served something as disgusting as this... We'd be out of business!! Lastly, the staff that works there is extremely rude and abrasive, perhaps if the owner was ever there he should teach them how to or how not to treat a GUEST, because theguests are what keeps the restaurant open!!! Late post- I'm very disappointed in this place solely because of this woman. We ordered 3 pints of beers with our meals and she dropped off the beers in three different glasses, two of which hold 11 oz and one that holds 16 oz. We then asked her why they were like that and she said that "all the beers come in the Stella glasses", which is a lie. So we asked her if she was going to give us the difference, and she said no. We were all shocked at this level of disrespect, not just because of how rude she was but also because she was ripping us off. I flagged down the other staff member (guy) and explained to him the situation. We pulled up on our phones the amount of Oz in a pint glass and Stella glass. He was receptive and apologetic and said he would give use the difference (which we paid for). After she saw him talking to us, we could see her confronting him and arguing with him! Thank you to the guy server that helped us out but Ms Stank Face really ruined our whole dining experience. She gave us dirty looks for the remainder of our meal and never apologized or attempted to make it right. To Ms. Stank Face, you don't deserve any of the monetary tips we left that night but here are some life tips, you are in dire need of an attitude adjustment. Don't argue with nurses over conversions (oz to pint), or any customer. Don't try to rip people off and then hide after being confronted. Learn math and customer service, girl. read more
