We had lunch here as our car needed to eat - i.e. we were getting a Tesla supercharging! We had the gyro plate and the chicken souvlaki plate. Came with a choice of rice or fries and salad. It is a 'self service" place. You go to the counter to place your order and the food is brought out to you if you dine in. The cashier was very friendly as he took our order and told us to go sit and he will find us with our food! We sat outside - it was a lovely day (a little windy) and was quite enjoyable. The food was relatively good. The gyro meat was a little dry and so was the pita bread. The salad was ok as well - a little weak on the dressing. We loved the rice - it was very flavorful and certainly made up for the lack of flavor in the other items we had. read more

I work nearby so I frequent this location; at this point they know my order and warmly greet me when I arrive. All the staff are friendly, and during the day you can engage with the mother-son duo who are extremely kind and humble. I tell almost everyone I know about this specific location - I've tried to couple other locations and never ended up returning but something is special about the Laurelwood location. The quality of the food at this NickTheGreek is excellent! I usually just get their Souvlaki (kebab skewers) but have tried their salads, plates, and desserts - all equally delicious! I love the chicken and steak skewers and find they are the perfect protein packed lunch, quick and easy, and full of flavor. The meat is juicy and tender and the Taziki, chimichurri, and hummus are great sides. Try the donuts with froyo...try the froyo with baklava and honey! This is very tart frozen yogurt (and it's delicious). I don't know how many people I put onto this location at this point lol but I tell everyone... It surprisingly and shockingly will exceeded expectations of a casual dining/fast food spot. (And again, this location seems to be special.) I learned from the owner that they've had the same kitchen staff since they open in 2021(?) years ago and that the team gets along well. We visit this location weekly and genuinely like the food. However, there is a young female staff member who consistently appears rude and unfriendly. She worked there tonight at 7pm, who consistently comes across as rude. Her facial expressions and tone feel dismissive and unwelcoming, almost as if customers are inconveniencing her. Such a bad attitude for working at a restaurant. Customer service matters just as much as food quality. If this behavior continues, we will stop coming to this location. This place is fire. I was amazing by how big and delicious the falafel wrap was. The staff did mess up my order and it took me a minute to actually be able to talk to someone about this but they fixed the issue relatively fast and without quarrel. The amazing wrap melted away my annoyance. The place also has a nice ambiance for what I'd fall a fast food style Mediterranean spot. There were a lot of people and makes sense since CSM is right there. If you are planning on eating some Nick the Greek this is the location to go to. It stands apart compared to the rest! I've been to the Nick the Greek in Willow Glen and wanted to give this a chance but I was disappointed by the to go order. The taste of the meat can really make or break a dish. They give me some hard graded Parmesan instead. Fail? Fail Ok so the owner said it was feta but graded and imported from Greece. You know we all love classic, soft, chunky feta and nobody in Greece serves hard graded feta on their fries. I know cause I spend summers there. So don't fix it if it's ain't broken. This was so good! I live in Bakersfield and am out visiting family for the thanksgiving holiday. Before the family has the chance to throw down in the chicken for turkey day we had the opportunity of trying this beautiful place the day before. Well, my fear of eating there chicken slouvaki has finally came true. I always had a feeling of sliding chicken off of a skewer would leave a splinter somewhere and it did. The burned end of the skewer splinters lodged itself in the upper roof of my mouth. It took me one hour with a pair of tweezers, a flashlight, and another small inspection mirror to finally remove the splinters. Food was good, and consistent with other NtG locations. Tables were super sticky. I assume it's their table cleaning chemicals interacting with the tables finish. Staff seemed annoyed by questions about their menu. For example, French fries are one price, Greek fries are a small upcharge, and Nick's fries are a larger upcharge. I asked what the difference was, because their menu is *too* simplified, and doesnt list what comes on/with it. Staff person said the Nick's fries comes with meat. But...that's a) not all it comes with, and b) doesnt include all of their meat options, and c) it also includes non-meat options...and they still didn't tell me what "Greek fries" are and why they are an upcharge from the French fries, until I asked again. This time, their answer was one word, "Seasoning", before walking away from the counter to stack napkins. I'm not some boomer who thinks Staff should fall over themselves wwith "yessir!" or curtsey for the customer, but the huffing and puffing and pouting, as if I'm ruining their day, is fairly off-putting. read more
