I love me some Erik's DeliCafe! But this one's oddly placed compared to other locations: It's off a side street behind a big shopping plaza with very little hope of parking in front of the store. I just parked in the giant parking lot a block away and walked over. The staff seemed a bit edgy on my visit ... not sure why. The restaurant itself is rather dark & gloomy inside. Either that or they forgot to turn on all the lights. I ordered a Dub Club as I always do at an Erik's DeliCafe, and it was absolutely fantastic! So good, in fact, that I might have to forego other locations and just come here instead (even though it's kinda gloomy and hard to find). Ah well ... I can always get my order to go. ;-) read more

We went to get lunch at another restaurant here in Foster City, I had no idea the had closed and had been replaced by another restaurant. So we were going to go somewhere else. We crossed the road and I seen Erik's A frame sign pointing up the road. Tucked along the inside I have never seen this place. So we went in for a look. It was clean, well presented, the staff was welcoming. It smelled great. We asked how long they had been open there and he said about a year! What?? Crazy! We ordered a Ruben and a carrot cake. That was the best Ruben I've had in a very long time! And the absolute best carrot cake I've had! Great lunch! We will be back! Tucked around back of the post office. Just go! read more

I had high hopes for finding a deli near me that I could grab lunch from when I came across Erik's on a bike ride. They are tucked away on a side street which can make them hard to find and it wasn't clear if they were open or in the process of closing at 5:30P on a Wednesday. Ordering was a bit of a challenge with a language barrier with the cashier. Prices are all reasonable and the menu selection was varied with the usuals you would expect along with some specials from Erik's. Food came out extremely quickly, but was almost entirely wrong and some items were missing. After paying (possibly twice) for the missing items, they came out. My wife and daughter shared some pasta salad and both wound up with stomach problems afterwards. My sandwich was good, not great. The soup was good, but again not great. I don't think this will be a repeat trip for us. Just too many problems (and potentially a health issue). read more

The Cleopatra wrap was delicious! Like a Caesar salad in a wrap. It also had avocado and was the perfect amount of dressing for a salad type wrap. The menu is simple but a lot of options for everyone. I'd certainly order this again next time I'm in the area. read more

Woah what a cool little spot to discover at the hidden side of the plaza! Truth be told, I had a hard time finding the restaurant because I assumed it would be right next to all the other stores at the front of the plaza but as it turns out this shop is actually located at the back. The sandwiches here are incredibly reasonably priced (compared to other stores in the area) and they're super quick to prepare your food! I definitely appreciate how the sandwiches here aren't dripping with sauce because my experience with sandwich shops is that they often go a little too crazy with the sauces. I tried a tomato soup from here as well but it wasn't anything extremely noteworthy but it wasn't bad by any means. Personally, I will be sticking to their sandwiches! read more

Erik's offers one of the better vegetarian sandwiches out there! I usually get the Farmer's Market sandwich which comes with a plethora of vegetables that are more interesting than your typical lettuce/tomato/avo/cheese/etc combo. Not only do I feel like I'm getting my money's worth because of the quality ingredients, I also enjoy the 9-grain bread it comes on. I usually prefer rolls to sliced bread, but will make an exception for this sometimes. Not sure how service is because I just order online and it's always been ready to go by the time I get in so I don't get the chance to interact with anyone. They are a five stars for me because they automatically add sprouts and red onions!!!! Hahahaha. Sorry i know it's not much of a deal break for most people, but their sandwiches are really good, too. Super fast and friendly service. Place is tucked away, but i found them. Their chowder was also super thick they way I like and still piping how when i got home. For over a month, I had planned to get my dad an Erik's gift card for Father's Day. I looked online and confirmed this location was open on Sundays, 12-8. I show up and the guy working (?) was really nice but says he can't help me because the cashier didn't come in that day. I'm not sure how they do business without a cashier. The sandwich that I had was delicious! It was just how I like my sandwiches, it didn't have lettuce and they put Sprouts instead which added a bit of a refreshing touch to it! We ordered it to go so we didn't really get a chance sit and enjoy the sandwiches until we were home. It was nice to be home and decorating while eating and wrapping presents. The sandwiches were made pretty fast and we were able to go pick them up on the time they said it was ready. I would expect should we stayed there to eat it would have been just fine. I stopped by here by here for the first time and ordered a chicken Cesar salad with extra cheese and tomatoes. The salad was really good I returned a few days later. Erik's DeliCafe has really good sandwiches. I went there with my daughter who has celiac and they had a separate station for prep and changed gloves. The staff was very knowledgeable and took great care of my daughter. The service has always been fantastic and the prices are very good. I didn't realize they would use that protein in a middle eastern pita. My market salad wrap had a disgusting sweet dressing and it dripped a quarter cup out of it while eating.
