**TAKE OUT ONLY AS OF 3/22** Nice service These guys get slammed so please be patient We got someone's large order of steamed rice PRO TIP: 1. Check your order before you drive off 2. Ask for plates (if you're staying at a hotel) The food containers are microwave safe (nice) I got my Chinese food fix just fine. It isn't as tasty as other places I've been to but considering... this did the trick. I would come again, give it a try! Qîng xiângyóng

My normal place was closed so tired here. Takeout only at this point. Ordered over the phone and food was ready quick. I ordered the pepper chicken and it was good but I had to use soy sauce to add some flavor to it.

This place is by far one of the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life. We only came here because it was one of the few Chinese restaurant in town and my parents wanted Chinese food. We gave the place 2 tries and it failed us both times. The main problem is that so many of their food were UNDERCOOKED! I'm not sure whether it was just because they were rushing the food due to high amount of orders during the holiday season but it was pretty ridiculous. Out of the 8 dishes we ordered in 2 days, the undercooked items we identified were the wontons and the meats in the wonton soup, shrimps in the friend rice, chewy eggplants in the eggplant dish, and even the white rice! How can the white rice be undercooked in a Chinese restaurant? And they weren't just slightly undercooked. We expressed our concerns at the end of our second meal but the waiter came back with a message from the chef that "no one else has complained about the food before". Wow. I gave this place 1.5 stars only because the rest of the food was edible and none of us got sick afterwards. Don't be fooled by the name of the place because it doesn't really have any authentic Hunan (or even Chinese) food. The menu had the dishes in Chinese but you have to read the small descriptions in English because the dish might not match what the dish name is commonly used for. Also, no one in the restaurant spoke Chinese as far as we know. Lastly, the place was severely understaffed. There were only 2 waiters and 1 half-waitress (water refills only) for the entire restaurant. This resulted in extremely slow services for both nights we were there.

Great Chinese foods in Taos. It's real Chinese taste, fitting well with my stomach. I ordered three dishes for my family. I liked them all.

The food was over cooked, and tasteless. I was up all night with hard gas, and spent the night on the toilet. I won't be eating there again.

Personally I think it was the best by miles, the cream chees won tons that she brought to our table were mind bendingly good. My lo mein noodles weren't just fantastic they made a great lunch the next day so very generous portions. The service felt truly nostalgic as if I was eating at some dear friends Chinese grandmothers house. Never met the chef but it's her husband and he was back there cooking up a storm. I imagine if it's busy this place could be a little slow as it's only a 2 legend operation, but they still managed to bring us a tasty treat complimentary I guess because they liked us. Really loved this spot, the ambiance did feel like being in some really sweet peoples home, which I appreciated. There are big tables for big parties.

It was the only one that we didn't like), Mongolian beef (pretty good), and Singapore noodles (delicious too). They are served in takeout containers so it was convenient if you have leftovers. We were given paper plates to share our food among ourselves. We got a chance to talk to the owner. It's just she and her husband running the restaurant so they need all the support that we can give them. Her husband is Cantonese who moved from L.A. so it's best to order Cantonese dishes.

I…read moreinitially tried to place a phone order but the employee I was talking to was kind enough to inform me that the menu on their website was not accurate so we decided to place our order at the restaurant. I did not know that they have a buffet and had we dined in I would have loved to try it! I believe this place has changed ownership since I had last been here as hispanics owned it prior and it looked different from what I remember. One of the owners whom took my order seemed to not understand much english (which is total fine) and ended up punching in cashew chicken instead of kung pao chicken; however, my order was still correct. We were offered a table while we waited (we were standing) which was very nice as they were very busy and had a full house. Now to the good part...the food! I ordered crab rangoons and kung pao chicken with steamed rice, the broccoli beef for my mom, and bff ordered the pork fried rice and the wonton soup. Everything was decent, but not outstanding and could use more flavor. The kung pao chicken was not spicy at all. I had a piece of mom's broccoli and it that was very tasty. Prices were very reasonable as for all three entrees as well as the app and soup came to 45 bucks. I would definitely like to try their buffet if I return next visit.

There's no variety offering and even if you want an egg roll you have to buy 4. The restrictions are disappointing. The dining area is kind of crappy. You sit at these wooden desks and chairs like at school. There's little to nothing on the walls and the only sound you here is banter from the kitchen. Here's a tip Yuan, add some music for the background maybe some Asian inspired instrumental music would help with the lack of decor. The service is okay, it's a small family business, Dad and Daughter. They were very nice. The kitchen guys running food to tables is a bit weird. I got pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings and they were okay, I wanted to try the bao and egg roll but since you can only get a family sized portion being 1 diner here doesn't allow you to try a variety without having tons of leftovers. The Bibimbap was also okay yet the portion looks small it's enough to fill the belly. My observation is this place is good if you go with a group so you can split the dumplings and other items and have a fun Asian experience. I suggest to owner spruce up the dining room perhaps offer a variety plate of appetizers and maybe add a coupe more entrees. Edible but uninspiring.
