We stumbled onto this restaurant and thought we give it a shot! We came here on a saturday where they make Carne Guisada (only on the weekends), ceivche, and Ribeye with baked potato, and sauted veggies with side of guac, and salad. I simply loved that we had homemade tortilla wraps on the side. It just went well with everything. I would definitely come back to try other dishes! The Ceviche was a bit overly tart imo. While in Taos, we stopped here for dinner. The service was okay, but the outdoor seating area was so neat! Their salsa & guac was great. We had the enchiladas and the steak fajitas. We arrived here for an early dinner on a Saturday and got lucky with no wait unlike another local spot, where we didn't want to spend that time. It did fill up with diners pretty quickly after our arrival. They have a fun looking bar area too. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, service, and atmosphere. The pomegranate margarita and chips and salsa started things off nicely. It isn't the best salsa, gives a little "canned tomato sauce" vibe as the base but no biggie. We enjoyed the nachos, burritos, and tacos and nothing was left on our plates. Our server was very friendly as were other wait staff who brought us our food. Highly recommend!! read more

Parking lot is directly in front of the restaurant and this restaurant is located behind the main Square. I said inside as the outside was a little warm, but they have a beautiful patio area gray for cooler weather. I sat next to a couple from the great state of Texas, who are discussing what they had for dinner and that they really enjoy it as a result, the exact same item which was a strip steak on top two cheese enchiladas served with pico de gallo sour cream and guacamole. The food was average. The ceviche I had was good but the pasta my husband ordered was supposed to come with green chilli in it and it didn't so we had to ask for some for him to mix in. A local recommended here. We were glad since it's tucked away off the street and we might have missed it. The tiny strip mall set up has an ample parking lot in front of it. Enter into a beautiful garden courtyard, complete with traditional southwest Sandia Ristras, a fountain and shaded, quaint garden furniture. Service was top notch. Had a delightful meal here in their lovely outside patio. I want to put a shoutout for their amazing ceviche tostadas! It was a little unusual in that there's some sort of a chipotle mayo underneath, and then the fish, which is so tasty, and then these really delicious, marinated onions and some avocado. I ended up sharing most of the second one, because it was really filling! We're from Cali and I must say this was one of the best I've ever had. My husband had the tamale and relleno combination. The real star is the tamale, the MASA is very light and not gluey at all, and the meat inside is deliciously spiced and cooked. The relleno was a little too cheesy for us, but the beans and rice are very delicious . Our server was fabulous, and we would absolutely come back! read more

New place, and our first visit. We were able to sit on the patio, which is quite nice, comfortable and the tables are well spaced. Service was gracious, efficient, friendly. We never lacked for anything. Yet it wasn't "too much". Just right. They have applied for a liquor license, and NM doesn't allow BYOB, so you have to drink before or after until the license come in. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole. All three were excellent, fresh. For dinner we had a red trout, chili rellenos, and a combo platter. Everyone loved their choice. My rellenos were stuffed with quest blanco and had the most awesome mole I have ever tasted. Very spicy, with more chili than I have ever experienced. It may ruin me for any other mole. My wife's combo subbed out the taco for an additional. Geese enchilada and they were outstanding. No lack of cheese like so many places. The tamale was tasty as well. We both had rice and beans and they were good- fresh tasting. Helen had the Red Trout. She said it was amazing, particularly the spicy white sauce. My wife agreed. Also the fresh veggies tasted Smokey, and they both loved that. I believe we will all be going back for a shot at that trout. I will say the food is more Mexican than New Mexican, although they do offer both red and green chili on many dishes. For desert we had the flan. Very good! I wish this place much success. read more

The food was pretty good, but our favorite part was the patio. They also have a "bucket of beer" that makes for a pleasant hang. The nachos are huge and well apportioned with ingredients. There is better food available, but the ambience here is pushed it over average. read more
