By far the best Chinese restaurant I've had in NM. Our server was very friendly and recommended us to try chef's special. Food was great. This will be my go to restaurant for mapo tofu. Their portion is huge. Two orders should be enough, if not too much, to feed three people. Free parking right across the street (not the hotel parking).

We had another delicious dinner at Zeng. Contrary to what another reviewer recently posted, the $10 parking is for the hotel adjoining the restaurant. As you enter the restaurant there's a large sign that says parking is free for Zeng customers. I had the excellent tofu and vegetables with hand-pulled wheat noodles - a little spicy and super flavorful. My husband, who has recently developed a gluten sensitivity, had pork and veggies with rice noodles. The flavors were similar to mine, but I'm guessing they use tamari instead of soy sauce. The robot delivered our water, but we had great service from the human who took our order.

Somewhere online, I read that this was the best Chinese place in the state. So to be fair, the hype was already high. The cumin lamb and the wonton soup were great. The fried rice was good (I'm always overly critical of this one). If I lived in town, I would probably try it again, but I'm not sure I will make the trek back from Albuquerque. The staff was friendly. The appetizer arrived last which was peculiar. And cleanliness could've been a little bit better.

I was in the outskirts of Santa Fe for work and had a craving for Chinese food. Unfortunately, the closest spot that I could find was in downtown Santa Fe. That was a a long drive for me and the unfortunate part. The fortunate part, this place was uber-fantabulous. OMG, the food was awesome. Let me get into why the experience was so great. The thing that grabs your attention when you walk in to the restaurant, is the mechanical bowl of noodle soup that has plastic noodles attached to a chopstick that moves up and down. Cool, right? I was greeted by the friendly staff and immediately taken to a table. Menu in hand, and a glass of water, I perused the menu. Man, there were so many yummy things to choose from. I decided on an order of shrimp, eggs ,and chives steamed dumplings for an appetizer and Singapore House fried rice noodle. I love Chinese chives so the dumplings were so yummy. They were steamed to perfection and so, so addicting. The Singapore noodles were wok-fired with chicken, shrimp, calamari, mushrooms, beef, eggs, and cucumbers. Wow, this dish attacked my taste buds with so much deliciousness. The staff were awesome, prices were reasonable, and most importantly, the food was spectacular. You have to get the dumplings. If my travels bring me back to the Santa Fe area, you know that I will come back to this restaurant.

July 24, 2024 New addition to the restaurants in the old Santa Fe district near the plaza. Robot servers, although real people take your orders. The $13 mushroom and bok choy was delicious in that the mushrooms contributed to the flavoring of the otherwise bland bok choy. Pricey for a simple vegetarian dish. The $12 soup bun was decent in that there was soup inside the bun when gently punctured with one teeth onto ones spoon. The $15 twice cooked pork was if anything too authentic, being very spicy and full of pork belly fat. Should have ordered spicy beef or chicken instead. Complimentary ice cream in the back room with self service into full pint glass containers!

Will return 3.5 A decent Chinese restaurant in town. They're the only Chinese we tried. Large hall, plenty outside seatings. I think they share the bathrooms with the motel. A lady is making dumplings at the station when we walked in at 4pm. I asked what kind dumplings is she making, she said I don't speak English. The skins look different, but I did order - five steamed dumplings arrived - they're huge, double the normal size. I ordered chives and pork, they include corns too (freebie... but not young), which I don't see often. The fillings are too solid. We've mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐 and beef with string beans 牛肉四季豆. Both taste good, especially the tofu has the numbing spice. The beef is tender (tenderizer?) but the string beans are way too old, which is chewy. A fly is persistent around our table.

The best Chinese food I have ever tasted. A lot of us are still thinking about how amazing the food was and how we wished it was closer to us. They sat us together in the back room. We had the dumplings, chicken breast fried hand made noodles, Crab Rangoons, Thai Iced Tea, Shrimp Spring Rolls which were fried that I didn't care for, Soup Pork Buns, and Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice.

A succulent Chinese meal indeed! We were very impressed with the quick service, atmosphere, and tasty food at Zeng's! We ordered the pork buns, general tso's chicken, white rice, and the cucumber appetizer. The food all came out hot, which I really appreciate. My Dr Pepper was crisp and each item we ordered was seriously fantastic. We would definitely return! 5/5.

We visited Santa Fe for the annual Spanish Market. My son took my wife and I to Zeng for lunch. What a delightful experience, we loved everything we ordered. Their menu is very extensive, good prices for downtown Santa Fe. The server was Mikae who was very pleasant. The delivery of the food was done by a Robot Server! First time for us and the kids in another table were enjoying the robot delivering to different tables.

First time trying Zeng. I ordered to go! Absolutely delicious, everything was FRESH and cooked to perfection!! If you're in the area, it's a must try! Can't really speak to the service, I picked up my order. Waitress wasn't too friendly but it's ok. Ambiance is really nice, can't wait to dine in !!

We were thoroughly enjoying all of the New Mexican cuisine we were also missing some home cooked Asian food that is our comfort, go to! We decided to go to Dumpling Tea & Dim Sum and we were blown away by the food, service and learning about the owners and their journey to Santa Fe!! First the service - we ordered and got our food served to us! The food! Wow! I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and soup buns! So so delicious!!! The owner shared his story of moving to Santa Fe after being in New York but covid happened. His wife and daughter along with his parents were arriving soon! We were so happy to learn about his story and happy that he was going to reunite with his family! The place is within a plaza area with other businesses. We started the evening with the Volcano, a drink that's on fire upon arrival. So fun and delicious. Over the years, I've had a few things on the menu, but my absolute favorite, which is one of my absolute favorite dishes I've ever had is their Singapore Style Noodles Singapore style noodles is often my go to when I have to eat cheap fast Chinese food in Tennessee or other less sophisticated places This is different ! The way the chef executes this incredible dish reminds me a little more of Thai or Laotian food than Chinese ! The noodles have such a complex curry with a bit of sweetness they are not the standard yellow curry powder that you can buy off Amazon. The Char Sui Pork in the dish is to die for !! moist, tender and perfectly tasty Interesting that it is served with a lime wedge, which definitely makes me think Thai influence! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this dish after having it many times over the years and will truly say it is one of the best Asian dishes I've ever eaten anywhere including Los Angeles, Hawaii, and Washington DC all of which I resided in Maybe I'll find something better on a trip to Hong Kong who knows ?? By the way, I met Jesus here (Not the holy resurrected one ! ) He's a friendliest bartender you will ever meet and he made me the very best Mai Thai I've ever tried, which is their house specialty drink. I also met the owners of a wonderful art gallery in Santa Fe today. Who I plan to stay in touch with INCREDIBLE experience Jinja ROCKS. Deserves five stars or more

The goodness began with Naomi, who helped me fix an error in my reservation and get a table at a good time tonight. The goodness continued with our server Mitzi, who should be teaching graduate classes in hospitality in every big city. She was friendly without being overbearing, informative without being pedantic, subtle and gracious. Now, the food! My wife chose the vegetarian tasting menu and I had some of each dish: so very flavorful (a green salad with pears, a life-changing mushroom bisque [and I don't like mushrooms!], a chickpea croquette with pickled artichoke hearts and ratatouille, and a substitution of the lemon crepe for three yummy scoops of sorbet and gelato. I chose the scallops, perfectly cooked and moist, over couscous, and a dish of tasty sauteed baby spinach. A wonderful experience, and not overpriced, and everyone treated us sweetly. The musical soundtrack was swinging, and at a compassionate volume. Our first trip to Santa Fe, and we found a gem. Hooray! And thank you, Mitzi!

The interior is classy and very comfortable. We were seated at a nice comfy corner booth. The soft music in the background was soothing and just noticeable enough without being a distraction. We were served complimentary flutes of local sparking wine and a fresh baked bread basket and butter to start. We then ordered cocktails and three starters. First was a split plate of the endive smoked duck salad with a warm bacon vinegarette. Wow...this was nice and refreshing. This was followed by the crab dumplings with fresh corn and peas and lobster sauce. Delicious! The final small plate was seared foie gras on top of banana bread toast. This was very good. I miss foie gras. Unfortunately, it's banned in California. They had a 2023 Sea Smoke "Ten"Pi ot Noir on the wine list. This is one of the best Pinot Noirs produced in California and not easy to find. This was a no doubter and we ordered a bottle to pair with our entrees. My wife ordered their signature elk tenderloin for redemption because the restaurant the night before failed at executing this. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop. This was cooked to perfection with a nice thin crust on the outside and a perfect very light pink juicy center. We ordered a side of brocolini that was pan roasted with shallots and butter. Everything was very good and Michelin grade in our opinion. Lastly we ended the evening and split the tiramasu type of desert. My wife had the expresso martini and I had an 18 year old Glen Morangie scotch neat. The service was excellent and worth the splurge. This is a must when visiting Santa Fe.
