I enjoyed the food the first time I went. It took about 15 minutes. The food was hot, good portions, decent price. I tried to get delivery this time since I'm unable to leave the house and did not have a good experience. The person answering the phone needed me to repeat my address about 6-7 times and then told me I was too far to deliver. Their menu and site both say delivery within 5 miles, which I am, but she said no. I told her their menu specifically says 5 miles. She apologized but still said they couldn't deliver. My first time getting food from here and it was delicious!!! I highly recommend the Mongolian Pork extra spicy. It's the best I've had in charlotte. My husband got chicken wings and he said they were good. Customer service was very nice and fast. I came during lunch time that ends at 4pm even on the weekends too. Large parking lot. So I really want to love this place and want them to open up with dine in service. Because the true test of Chinese food is can you eat it room temperature or cold. It just has not flavor like, I tend to have to add some seasoning or MSG when I get home. And you have to eat it while hot because it's horrible there after. They do give you a full portion for the lunch special and the food smells amazing but it just needs some favor. Maybe if it opened back up for dine service things would change. read more

The food is always hot!! The shrimp lo mein never fails, plenty of shrimp. On the other hand General tso not consistent. Sometimes over sauced or under spiced even when you ask for extra spice. Fried rice not consistent. Lunch meals seems to be more rice than entree. read more

Better than your average cheap Chinese food. They obviously havn't had anyone eat inside in quite a while. The setup is good for Covid compliance, but they could put a little more effort into having it less dreary in there. I happened to be in the area for lunch and called in some General Tso's, shrimp with mixed vegetables and and a fried softshell crab. The General Tso's had more of a legit pepper flavor than some cheaper place I frequent. The shrimp with mixed vegetables had actual edible shrimp unlike some of the cheaper places I frequent. The crab was good, but I think it may have been sitting a little while before they handed off the food. I ate it in the car and the deep fry had already gotten a little soggy. All in all pretty good Chinese food for the area, I'll be back. They even actually gave me steamed rice instead of fried when I asked for it, which is an issue I have with my go to spot. read more

This is the first time we have ordered here and we loved it! The Chicken Honey Walnut was amazing and the beef lo mein was very good too! The crab Rangoon was very good , it looked a little brown but it tasted great. The sauce was a little extra and you had to ask for it, but I would be bummed if I wouldn't have had it. read more

I'd have to remember to ask for no water chestnuts tho, I don't like them. Veggie Fried Rice had good flavor but nothing spectacular. Hot and sour soup is another favorite of mine... it was ok, edible, but no wow factor. Could've used a lil bit more sweetness, and heat. Staff was polite and friendly. Take out only so the view inside could use some help. Dining room area used as stock room for supplies and just doesn't help decor. The floors could use some refinishing too. Not close to home but referred by a co worker that orders from here. But I'd try it again, overall, not bad. I am very skeptical of chinese restaurants, very skeptical. I've been let down many times, from bad meat to food poisoning and for that reason I stayed away from chinese for many years. I took a chance on Hunan Park after having an urge for fried rice and thankfully they didn't disappoint. The veggie fried rice is always fresh, and full of veggies. I usually stick with the rice only, but recently I took a chance and tried the veggie rice noodles and it is awesome as well. I think I will stick with the veggie dishes for now, I don't want to press my luck. read more

This is my go to guilty pleasure....Chinese food. I was thrilled when they would actually deliver to me back in the day before Covid and incessant crime. Unfortunately, they've informed me, even though my delivery would be within their delivery boundaries, they no longer deliver to "that side of town". I'm literally less than 9 minutes away. But I understand, better be safe than sorry. I make the drive to pick up because the food is worth it. The food is always HOT and FRESH and the customer service is efficient and precise. Okay, it's about time I updated my review. I decided to try them again shortly after the first time several years ago and they did not disappoint. I still avoid any breaded chicken or beef dishes (see previous review), but everything else that I've ordered has been delicious. A few of my favs are: the shrimp fried rice, crab rangoon, sesame shrimp and scallops, and the salt and pepper calamari. The fried rice is some of the best I've had and they aren't stingy with the shrimp. You can't go wrong with the seafood here, it's always fresh and tasty. I also appreciate that they are always friendly when I call and they've done an excellent job adapting to COVID-19 with no-contact delivery since the beginning of the pandemic. All things considered, I would definitely recommend them, but I would avoid the breaded meats until they upgrade to all white meat chicken. read more

Just going by late night take out order. (They're only doing take out) Food was ok, I ordered the wings with large white rice. The wings were crispy and juicy on the inside. You get 6 wings which isn't bad, some places give only 4. The white rice was alright. Some people might not be able to taste it but I can taste the different types of white rice. It had no taste at all which I wasn't too fond of. The food was ready in less than 15 mins which the lady on the phone said how long it would take, so they work fast. I am really wondering why no one has posted a picture of, or raved about the shrimp with candied walnuts dish. If you know anything about PF Changs, you know that have a similar sounding dish on their menu and I literally get it whenever I go there. Well, Hunan Park's dish is NOTHING like it. In fact, it's different in a great way! I absolutely loved it. The sauce is a little spicy, which I always love, and the candied walnuts are just the perfect addition to the crispy shrimp. I have been having intimate thoughts about this dish since I ate it a couple of weeks ago. Understand that I'll be back for it. It comes with broccoli and white rice. I substituted the white rice for fried rice. In an effort to not be a complete pig, I did only eat half and inhaled the rest the next day after work. It was so worth it to be able to enjoy it a second time. If you haven't tried this particular dish, I highly recommend that you do. You shall not be disappointed. read more

This is our favorite take out restaurant as it is so close to home. They are in the same building as the Harris Teeter at the Shoppes at Highland Creek. We have never dined in, but whenever we have ordered for pick up, they get our order ready before the time they tell us. We are really big on their shrimp in garlic sauce and the fire cracker shrimp. Also, their hunan chicken is amazing. Basically nothing we've had here has been anything less than amazing. I'm so glad these guys are close by! read more

This place was suggested by a friend over my go to Charlotte Chinese spot for takeout. This was a good back up plan pick. Sesame shrimp was good but I would have preferred if they put the sauce on before I got it. Shrimp fried rice was good $2.50 extra instead of white rice with combo. Good rice with nice amount of shrimp. For sesame shrimp with shrimp fried rice and shrimp and broccoli with extra white rice was $30. It could be setup for two portions per dish for average person doing portion control. I smashed all of mine by myself though :) Im happy with the results... good chinese food. read more
