Best Chinese food I've ever had. I'm lucky to live close to them so I had not had delivery. Chicken is great quality. Highly recommend.

The service was fast and the food was hot. The crab rangoon was top notch. I did not like the general tsos. It's usually my go to at a Chinese restaurant but theirs was all spice and no sweetness (most others have a balance of spicy and sweet which is what I was expecting). They also put jalapeños in theirs which I've never seen any other Chinese restaurant do. Also, their fried rice had just a little bit too much soy sauce in it for my taste. Overall though I had a good experience. I will go back I will just try something different. read more

I just walked in for take out and never left the front so I don't know what the whole place looks like. I had General Tso's chicken special with fried rice and an egg roll. Of course when traveling, we compare to our favorite place at home. I'm used to seeing and tasting more red pepper honestly. A bit flat.But I also get more grease and salt at home. Not good. This was not greasy or salty at all. Even the egg roll was not greasy and the portion was very generous. I love to eat and I had 2 meals form the one order. Food is fresh. Made in front of you if you walk in and order. It's what you expect and want for Chinese food takeout. Hot and sour soup is good. As are all the dishes we regularly order. Excellent food and delivered in the promised time. I have ordered a few times, and they are consistently outstanding. The orange chicken and the chicken teriyaki are great, and the egg rolls you get with the combo meal tastes as authentic as they come. They also have steamed vegetables with rice. Food was delivered quickly & still hot. General Taos chicken was breaded well, but bland. Szechan beef was tender with fresh vegetables, but there was zero spiciness. Rice was good enough. What a horrible experience! The General Tso's & Sesame Chicken was ALL batter! Additionally, the vegetable fried rice was flavorless. Then when we called to advise the staff of the problem they just denied there was a problem. Next, the manager got on the phone and acted like he didn't speak English until he started swearing and then he spoke perfect English (what a surprise)! We were first time customers who read the yelp reviews and ordered with high expectations... needless to say, we'll never order from them again. The portions are very big and the prices are pretty reasonable. The food is very good. Love their Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Tao's Chicken. I live on the west side of Boynton and I don't mind driving extra to find decent Chinese food. This is the best (besides Bamboo Wok in Boca) that I find in the area. My only complaint is the fried rice is good but somewhat bland and I wish it came with pork like most places (for the lunch or dinner combo). read more

This is THE place for Chinese take out or delivery, which is FREE! I must be stupid because I am not from NY. This place is awesome. I cannot really think of anything that is not great. The best Chinese food in the area! I have visited a lot of Chinese restaurants in the delray/boca area and they don't compare in the quality of the food. Fried dumplings are amazing. General tsao chicken, egg foo young and Mongolia chicken are great. Although you're safe to order whatever you want. I always have them delivered and they are very fast and the prices are cheap. If you want to dine in they are in a plaza next to publix. Nothing fancy to dine in at but the food would be good. read more

It's the beginning of Memorial Day Weekend and I just felt like Chinese. I've been meaning to order from Hunan Wok for a while based on the positive reviews of others here. I ordered and was duly impressed. First, the order was taken professionally and smoothly. My order arrived timely and was properly packaged with nothing missing or leaking. I started by testing their Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls and Shrimp Rolls. While they were all good, the Shrimp Rolls were really good. All the rolls were crisp, hot, not at all greasy. It was a sign that Hunan Wok does things right...Dinner continued to the Sesame Chicken and Szechuan Beef. Both were good but the Szechuan Beef was really quite good with just the right amount of heat (spicy heat) -- not overwhelming but definitely there. Hunan Wok is a hit and I'll definitely be ordering again. read more

I don't know about you guys, but this was THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I'VE EVER HAD. The Wanton soup was completely watered down to a point where it was 90%water. I ordered the Sesame Chicken. When I took a bite, it was nothing but breading...and the "chicken" was almost completely missing in every bite. The Egg Roll was soggy. I'm not that hard to please, but this was terrible. Unassuming strip mall take out with a good amount of available booths. The dine in caught me off guard. Usually these "dives" are walk up and leave. Maybe there will be a table and two chairs. Sometimes even a hard wood bench table. This place has actual restaurant booths. So anyway, I had the wonton and cashew chicken and brown rice. The wonton soup lacked anything other than broth and wonton. No scallion, no pork, no green leaf thing-a-ma-bobs. No egg roll which I thought I saw it saying it came with. Tons of food for under $9. I ate the soup and maybe 1/3 of the cashew chicken it was too much. There were tons of vegetables and perfect amount of cashews. It could have used some more chicken. The chicken was pretty good. It wasnt the dive takeout chicken that plagues some of these places. You know the kind; after one bite you start looking up "food poison relief" just to be safe.
