Good service and convenient location with plenty of parking. The staff is always friendly and I prefer to dine and enjoy my food on the spot. The ramen is delicious but my feedback is its done al a carte: You have to add everything and pay $ for the items. Even an egg is not included in the ramen bowl nor a protein. Absolutely love this restaurant, every time I come, I am not disappointed. You are served with authentic Japanese dishes with the friendliest customer service. The plating is perfection, the Nabeyaki Udon is very rich in flavor and hot at the touch. Their food is served steaming and fresh. The rice is very soft and chewy, their meats seasoned just right AND they serve the best Takoyaki. The interior design is similar to that of a restaurant you might find in Japan, it's small but also cozy and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and the parking is very easy and convenient. Stopped in for lunch with some coworkers right as they opened. Service was not the best. - we had to ask if we sat ourselves, ask for him to take our order, and track him down for the check. Typically I would be upset by these things but it did appear he was the only person taking orders via phone and in the restaurant and was busy the entire time. He also was pleasant when dealing with the three of us. The ramen is listed as spicy but it really is not. Very tasty and I would go back without hesitation if someone wanted to go but I probably would not search it out for myself. Price is $15.50 for what is pictured which feels a bit high but I am sure the rent is crazy high at this location. Inside is clean but you don't feel like you are at a nice restaurant...it has an old subway sandwich shop that was kind of renovated feel. read more

SO DELICIOUS!!!! This place did not disappoint at all. The food is extremely fresh. We ordered the Tonkotsu Cha-Shu Men and it is indeed the best we have had in Palm Beach County! This place is a little gem! The broth is super fresh and the noodles taste amazing. We also had the Onigiri and Inari which were super tasty. It was our first time eating these two. The service was very friendly and attentive. The cute little shop has minimal seating so be prepared to wait if they are busy. I ordered the miso soup as an appetizer and asked for it without scallions but was told not possible, also the fried rice without scallions and then a tempura veggie over white rice - no mention of scallions by server. Tokio Ramen looks like it's off Woolbright Road but they have a second entrance around the corner. This also takes you to a free parking garage so you don't have to stress about finding a parallel parking spot right outside of Tokio. I have dined here a few times and I really enjoy their food and service. They give off a homey vibe with their hospitality and their ramen / soup dishes are prepared within an eyeball's reach. I have never been to a ramen place that was like a build-a-bear. It was a minor inconvenience to have to order a basic broth/noodle and then add in things I wanted. Good part was that my bill was similar to that if I had gone to a regular ramen place that included all the veggies and slices of pork. The slices were also very thin. Tasty. But thin. I was going out to dinner with two friends, and one of them wanted to try ramen. I hadn't been to Tokio Ramen yet, so I thought it would be fun if we all three tried it together for the first time. We were immediately seated, and we looked at the menu. They offered a wide variety of appetizers but my friends and I were just there for the main course. My friend and I both had the Tonkatsu Tokio Ramen, while our other friend chose Miso Ramen. The ramen itself was well made. It had a very hearty broth, lots of vegetables and delicious pork. Mine was a little spicy which I absolutely loved, but you can order it without the spice if you choose. The only reason I didn't give this five stars was because of the service. The waitress was kind of all over the place, messed up one of my friends orders, left us without water for a long amount of time, and then when brought it back spilled it on us . But all in all, it was a very delicious meal, and I will be back the next time I'm craving Ramen. If you're looking for a good ramen place, I highly recommend Tokio Ramen. read more

After missing breakfast this morning I was starving, and decided to take advantage of my job being right across the street. Parking was a no brainer as the free garage next door means I didn't have to try and find anything on the street. So that's a plus. Well lit, clean, non sticky tables. A friendly "hello" hollered out as I walked in and the girl behind the counter jumped right up to help me. A quick once over of the menu and I decided on the steamed dumplings to start with a bowl of roasted pork ramen. Add a soft boiled egg please! Everything was bagged up securely so there were no leaks heading back to work and I was on my way! The dumplings were so good. Soft little steamed pillows of deliciousness that melted in my mouth. So good... The roast pork was delicious, three slices of fatty goodness, sliced to the perfect thickness to be warmed through once I poured the broth over. But the broth!! Oh My God!! I've quite literally never had a better broth in all of South Florida. This was worth the price of admission. I consider myself a bit of a pepper head and love spice but this red chili sauce had my forehead sweating by the second mouthful. My only reason for not going 5 stars is the noodle. Arguably tied with the broth for importance in a good ramen, these were definitely premade, possibly storebought, not the shining star I had hoped for, but I'll definitely be back! read more

This small restaurant appealed to me -- from the warm greeting on walking in, we felt welcome and appreciated. We'd been to another restaurant in this area before, so we knew to park our car behind the restaurant in the garage. We then walked over to enter via the back door. Seats inside are at one of two counters -- facing a wall -- plus there are a few regular tables in the front. And even a couple small tables outside in the back opposite the parking garage. I started with an appetizer of seaweed salad. Crunchy and refreshing. We both ordered the soy based broth ramen, but I got the basic version with just pork slices and noodles in the broth. He got his with the added egg, the flavored bamboo shoots, the dried seaweed, and naruto (that dyed pink fish paste cut to look like a flower and used for contrasting color) along with the pork slices and ramen noodles. The soups were served hot, tasty and very filling. I took part of my noodles home, even. The menu is basically different versions of ramen in 4 different broths that you can adjust by adding in various "toppings". Other menu items are with udon or soba noodles. Then there's a small section of dishes with rice and a half dozen appetizers. Service was friendly and efficient. The place was spotlessly clean. Was excited to try this but wasn't blown away, I was a little let down honestly. Inside is pretty simple, cute, and clean. The hostess was very low energy. My friend and I were extremely kind, thanking her for her service and she couldn't be bothered to reply. This brought my rating down a lot because I know that this is a family owned business and traditionally businesses like these are so curtis us to customers. This one was the opposite. I ordered the spicy miso ramen for $10. At first I didn't like it too much but after a couple scoops of the broth it grew on me but it didn't blow me away. It was very average. The bowl lacked charm, it was quite bland. Serving was also quite small. My friend got the Sho-Yu Ramen and it wasn't very good. I enjoy a good bowl of ramen and being married to a Japanese woman, I get to do that frequently. When we moved to Boynton Beach last year, we immediately began the hunt for a proper steaming bowl of those delectable noodles and broth. It's not always easy but we found a gem in Tokio Ramen. Owned and operated by a lovely Japanese couple, they serve delicious and more importantly, authentic Japanese Ramen among other dishes. The husband runs the kitchen and the bubbly and cheery smiling wife is front of house. We have been many times at all times and days, but they are always there which shows their dedication and explains the never wavering delicious consistency. I've been waiting and waiting and finally Tokio Ramen is open! Show them some love Yelpers (Mama needs to keep a good ramen shop open just minutes from home lol). I ordered takeout, though I noted their small dining area is open and clean and ready for dine in guests. They have a nice assortment of prepackaged beers and sake for dining in! The Tonkotsu Tokio Ramen was perfectly salty and spicy with al dente ramen noodles (just like I like). The pork was meaty and satisfying, but a tiny bit dry and without the complex roast pork flavor I know and love. I get the picture that a couple owns and runs this restaurant. They were both very friendly and lovely. Next time I'll have to ask them about themselves and the new business. For now I just grabbed the takeout and went home to dig in. Overall, the Ramen itself was not as good, and the flavors not as complex, as Ramen Lab eatery over in Delray or Boca. But, it was still excellent and Ramen Lab is more expensive and farther away from me so Tokio Ramen will be my new ramen fix close to the house! I look forward to trying their other Ramen flavors. So the description was kinda misleading which is why I'm upset. So the order of the menu goes by price and the addings/topping that they include into the ramen. The third option on each different broth says it will include meat and vegetable toppings. The misleading part (I guess it was my fault for assuming ) is that they just include the smallest pieces of sliced carrots/onions/and lettuce/cabbage. So ur paying extra for filler that's not worth getting at all and I've never had these add on in my ramen from anywhere.I've had tonkatsu ramen all over west palm and they always include at least one egg some mushrooms bamboo shoots not plenty but a sample of each at least. It only had 2 shrimp a few small pieces of octopus (I could count them on my hand maybe 4) and about 3 clams. I got some spicy sauce to put in it because I just like spicy food. I would order it again but ask for all shrimp only or even add extra shrimp. The octopus was tough and the clams were too mushy for me. At first it was confusing to try and find this place. There was a Japanese sandwich shop right next to it. Once inside, it feels like an alley ramen shop on the off streets of Tokyo. I had the spicy miso ramen and it was spot on delicious. I also had the takoyaki which takes me back to the ones I had in Atomi and various Kyoto shrines. Expect a smaller Japanese portion size. The menu is also very a la cart; besides the soup base and ramen with veggie yasai toppings, everything you add has a small additional fee. I asked, what if more than 5 people come in separately all wanting to order ramen, she said they can't be served. I worked in the hospital industry for many many years and have never heard anything like this from a restaurant. We went next door to the Greek place which was delicious, fast, and extremely accommodating! Meanwhile, I watched many groups of 4 entering and exiting the restaurant while we were eating next door.
