Hickey and broccoli w/chicken fried rice
    Marie F.

Having take out and want to fake it to myself like it's healthy so I have chicken and brocolli. So this place fakes it like I'm eating something good for me. Loads of fresh veggies that still has a crunch tender chicken mixed into the rown rice. But on the botton of my place plate that is perfect for storage is a layer of grease. That goes perfectly with the greasy spring roll that I picked over the eggroll. I guess greasy food cures hangovers because everyone was great. While the designated driver (me) was wondering if I had pulls of grease floating over the liquids in my stomach.

Hole in the wall place but great food.

We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, they were phenomenal! Then we both decided on steak for dinner. I got the filet, and ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. My husband ordered the ribeye and his was medium, his was also spot on. Then of course, we had to get dessert. I got the German chocolate cake (this apparently isn't their normal one) and my husband got the dulce cheesecake. The waitress we had was great, and she recommended lots of tips and favorites to try. The only negative thing that I would say is that it's a bit cramped, so it was very loud and hard to hear each other at points. This was an amazing dinner. We will be back

Our waiter, Evan, was very proactive & offered suggestions with menu items. We started with some cocktails, the gentlemen with the cider beer & an old fashioned. I chose a glass of bubbly & the birthday girl had the fizz cocktail. It was incredible with a fresh blackberry puree. We started with the fried green tomatoes & the calamari, both were delicious! Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter! Would absolutely request him in the future.

Even though we had a reservation, it didn't seem to make a difference. We waited about 15 minutes just to find a host or hostess to be seated. During that time, we saw several other groups leave because no one was available to greet or seat them. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely set the tone for the visit. Once we were seated, the food was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made from scratch, and the quality and freshness stood out. The Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, topped with garlic aioli and Parmesan cheese, were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and well-balanced with house greens, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar vinaigrette. My little ones ordered the Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Fingers with fries, and they both really enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit, but the service and lack of organization upon arrival could use improvement. If they can address the front-of-house experience, it would make for a much better visit.

For the longest time, I love the Combination Platter, which is what I normally get within either salad, rice or tabbouleh. Now, I've mixed it up with some wings, standalone salad and lettuce-wrapped burger. 1) Sweet & Tangy 10 wings (lightly coated) - crispy, tasty, sweet and tangy deliciousness 2) Fattoush Salad - fresh mix of greens, onions, tomatoes, cucumber with crispy pita and I think balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I love Fattoush salads in general. 3) Lettuce-Wrapped Cheeseburger (no bun) - onions, pickles, tomatoes, of course lettuce, and cheese. "Low-Carb" Burger for those in the diet/lifestyle. The patty was thin, but it was big and filling. Service was wonderful, fast and accommodating. Very affordable pricing of food. The cafe is normally quiet, but I do prefer it that way. I'm sure it gets busy during the lunch and dinner times though. Look forward in trying out their breakfast soon!

We sat at the bar, where Patrick took great care of us. Every recommendation he made was spot-on, and the drinks he crafted were outstanding. The overall restaurant looked clean and great for a date night. We weren't feeling too hungry so we ordered the following based on the waitress and our friend's recommendations: 1) Crispy Brussels sprouts 2) Duck Fat Corn Bread 3) House made pasta + sugo The crispy brussels sprouts were a bit undercooked and lacked flavor but if you prefer a less crispy Brussel sprout dish I would recommend it over the duck fat corn bread. The duck fat corn bread was disappointing. It was an odd combination of flavors that did not mix very well. The corn bread was mushy and the crisp Napa cabbage with the random ranch/spicy sauce combo did not pair well and left my mouth feeling confused. I had high expectations for their house made pasta as they had a pasta maker out for viewing. The pasta was overcooked and every bite was an interesting mix of flavors...some bites salty...some bites unseasoned. There was barely any meat present and overall we ended up not finishing our meal and wrapping up the night. The only good thing we had was the homemade soda that I did not get a picture of but I believe was the hibiscus one. Overall I would recommend this place for drinks but not dinner.

When visiting Jacksonville for work, I was on the lookout for great restaurants around St Johns…read moreTown Center as my hotel and the work office was in the vicinity. Reservations can be made via OpenTable, and I saw this suggested on Yelp so I decided to try one evening. Upon arriving, I marveled at the beauty of the interior design of the bottom floor that also serves as a gallery. I ascended the staircase as the restaurant is on the third floor. I dined alone as this trip I didn't have a coworker with me, but I still was seated in a cozy corner to take it all in. Isaac, my waiter, was incredibly friendly, and ensured I had everything I needed. What I Ordered: - Caesar Salad: This salad is as pretty good, but at a price point of $19, I would likely skip if dining here again. Though, it did have the perfect hint of lemon for acidity and the croutons tasted house-made. Perhaps if you added a protein, this could become your main dish and elevate it. - Lobster Roll: $36 for a lobster roll?! I was intrigued as this was noted as a signature dish and a standout for what this location is known for... and boy was I IMPRESSED! The roll was perfectly toasted, and the lobster to roll ratio was absolute perfection. The flavor of the lobster was juicy and tasted fresh. This roll was so good that even the neighboring table as they left asked how I enjoyed it. They were recognized by staff, so I believe they are regulars. We all discussed how delicious it was and I shared my thoughts on the execution of lobster to bread ratio. I dined here a couple weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about where in Arizona I'll ever find a roll as decadent. - Cappuccino: a mark of a truly well-crafted cappuccino is the sugar test. Will the foam withstand the weight of sugar or will it sink to the bottom (poorly frothed)? I had ordered and didn't realize they would put a design on top! Visually stunning, and happy to report they make a beautiful cappuccino with delightful foam. Added pictures to showcase the design they added, and the sugar test. The rooftop has stunning views, and the food is a work of art as well. Though I had a lighter dinner with a salad + lobster roll, I was impressed with the meal and would return to try more of the menu if I visit for business or personal reasons in the future. This area has lots of restaurants, but this one definitely leaves an impression and draws this foodie back in to return. Check it out if you are in the area!

This is a great option for a (spendy) girls' night out…read more I came here with a bunch of work colleagues for dinner. The setting is lovely, especially if you are here during the sunset. Service was attentive and gracious. I started with a rose spritz, the avocado carpaccio, and the half roast chicken. The spritz was a delight. Not too sweet, very refreshing. The carpaccio was amazing with the smoked salt, and the briny caviar. My friend ordered the chips and dip, and heaven on earth is combining the two appetizers (a chip topped with avocado and then a dollop of creme fraiche/caviar). The chicken was okay. I should have gone with something else, but I panic-ordered. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't remarkable. I should have gone with a fancy salad or the lobster roll. My second drink, a glass of rose, was okay but wasn't served ice cold, a disappointment. I shared a chocolate chip cookie at the end of the meal, and it was absolutely delicious. I'd happily return with that crew of ladies, and I'd happily recommend this place for a date night.
