J Just an okay experience. The restaurant is smaller than expected, and food wasn't replenished often. The crab legs station stayed empty for most of our visit, and the items that were available were warm instead of hot. The sushi was messy, and the overall selection felt limited. The kid pricing was also surprising. They charged $14.99 for my 8‑year‑old based on height, which I've never encountered before. She ate five gyoza and some noodles, so the value just wasn't there. All and any of the broccoli was o er cooked/ mushy. The crab legs sat in water or boiled very watery. I didn't see the hibachi area untill it was too late. Service means taking dirty plates away. If you have 3 couples at a table each check gets a service charge for a party of 6 people. Do 15% right away x 3. The food and selection are pretty good. Service is very poor. The manager is not doing his job, so the servers are not doing theirs. Last three times I had to walk around to find the waitress and get my check. There were so many dirty dishes on our table that I stacked them and set them on another table. Refill drinks are a big maybe. We go about three in the afternoon, so that may have some effect. If service were improved, this buffet might rate a 4 out of 5. I was very excited when I heard that a new Chinese buffet was coming to New Port Richey. The building was small and I wasn't sure how they were going to pull it off. They opened a few weeks ago, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. The buffet was in the middle and very cramped for space. Not a huge selection but the food looked good, especially offering crab legs. The crab legs were way over cooked and had to wait 20 minutes for a half a pan refill, not impressed. The sushi area was small and not a big selection. We tried several dishes and found them very salty and very little taste. Trying to get through the buffet area left me bumping into people as I tried to get through the small isles. Even the hibachi table was small. Overall not impressed at all with a $23.00 price tag. I will say the service was very good. I not sure how much thought went into this tiny place, but its not for us. We will not return, very disappointed overall. read more

What a great find! We have gone 3 times this month. Food is excellent. Crab legs were easy to pull out in one piece and they have drawn butter. The raw oysters wete big, cold delicious. READ THIS REVIEW!!!! I just went to the hungry feast a couple days ago and I was positively surprised. I had been holding off on coming here because of reviews I had been reading. I am here to tell you , while some things (little things) could be fixed I had a VERY enjoyable time. The atmosphere and vibes are beautiful , service was polite , quick and attentive. Our server was a sweetheart. The food could have been hotter , it was at least warm , not cold like I have seen in many reviews for this establishment. I have been going to another buffet on 19 and I don't think after eating here I will be returning to that one! There is a good variety of food , even some options I've never seen at other buffets and I really enjoyed that ! If I had to give them any advice my only advice would be to provide a yum yum sauce that isn't as spicy as theirs. Other than that I have not a single complaint or regret! I am sitting in front of hungry feast right now writing this and waiting for them to open so I can go back in already !! Definitely worth a try !! I will be back again and again!! read more

Went excited, left disappointed. Shrimp and crawfish small dirty and overcooked, sushi rice dry, like it had been sitting out a while. Oysters and cocktail sauce both had a funny taste. Would have liked to have tried the snow crabs, but tray was empty and people were standing in line for them. So when they finally brought them out, they were wiped out. You would think that they would know people are going to be all over the crabs and just keep it loaded instead of leaving it empty and leaving people standing there waiting for more. Packed parking lot, amazing food, and standout service! First visit to Hungry Feast and it lived up to the hype. Huge variety--hibachi, sushi, seafood, Chinese classics, plus hidden gems like steamed pork buns. Everything smelled and tasted great. Delicious food - even better than the usual Asian food buffet, I think. I liked the coconut shrimp or whatever it's called, the sushi with cream cheese in it, and the sesame chicken. The first time I went there it was very good we got charged for lunch when we went there during dinner time which was fine with me. The second time was on a Saturday I didn't know you get charged for dinner on Saturdays and Sundays but when I went up to the buffet there was hair in the food I told one of the workers there and she didn't seem like it was a big deal I had to tell her twice before someone came over pulled the food out and then just dumped more food on the dirty try instead of taking the whole tray away. WARNING! I'll start by saying the food here is horrid. If I could leave a negative star review here I would and I'll explain why. My girlfriend and I got their deep fried sushi. Mind you it's fried and cooked but when we ate it, it was extremely slimy and had an extreme rotted fish taste. We also had their "chicken" and it looked to be deep fried powder. I then had to rush my girlfriend home cause she got sick off the disgusting taste, look and smell of this food alone. I then came back to complain and explain what had just unfolded because of there signs that said along the lines of let us know if there is anything wrong and we'll make it right. So after doing this all the owner Leo could say was "if she's sick take her to the hospital and we don't do refunds all I can do is give a discount". He also tried explaining how there sushi was made but I could care less cause I've just had to deal with a sick significant other and I've just paid for food I couldn't even bare to eat. Tried the new place on New Year's Eve about 6:30 in the evening. Atmosphere was very inviting nice and clean attentive weight staff, decent selection of food and desserts. For the normal Chinese buffet plus was there was crab legs on the Buffay on the minor side, seem like they were very very slow on refilling it as fast as they came out they went as for me I went for the crab legs and shrimp and sushi disappointing in that way, rest of a buffet was average disappointment no regular egg rolls, pepper steak, Beijing, beef and wonton soup were excellent. Fried foods seemed a little bit dry other than that decently priced for your average Chinese restaurant. read more
