Just picked up my order and very unhappy with my order. I ordered their $5.00 pizza it's a small 2 topping pizza. I ordered extra cheese , pepperoni with ranch crust. I open the box to look at it only to find out it has very little pepperoni that only surrounded the crust, none in the middle (I always get it this way and it is covered with a generous amt of topping). I talk to the girl behind the counter and express my feelings on it. She says sorry but that's how we make it unless you ask for double. Not sure what the disconnect is between the ordering call center and this location but it was a terrible experience. Ordered pickup on the phone and was told 20 minutes. Came 40 minutes later and they said they haven't even started and that they were hours behind on pizza orders. Cashier instantly asked if I wanted a refund as a first option. First off, I didn't drive out of my way just for a refund. I wanted pizza. There were a ton of irritated waiting customers inside. Some just yelled "I'd like a refund." At that point, I just said to cancel, I haven't paid and left. The employee seemed lost and just didn't know how to handle the situation. This location clearly needs some work and is poorly run. If I could give this place zero stars I would. We order pizza to an apartment ACROSS the street. We waited over an hour and finally called. They "claimed" they knocked but we have been home sitting in the living room which is literally the other side of the door and there was no knock. I walked in to Hungry Howies to pick up my order and the restaurant was empty. However, it still took over 5 minutes for an employee to acknowledge I was there and to get my order. The pizza honestly was one of the worst take-out pizzas I have ever had from Hungry Howies and the order wasn't even correct. I wish I would have looked at my order prior to leaving the store. I called Hungry Howies to let them know that not only was the pizza not very good but my order wasn't correct. The associate who answered the phone response was "Sorry bout that, not sure who cooked it. I guess we can cook another". After waiting another 20 minutes to cook another pizza I head back up to Hungry Howies and yes, once again my order wasn't correct (wrong flavor crust). Since I wasn't willing to wait another 20 minutes I took the pizza and headed home. My previous experiences with Hungry Howies has always been hit or miss. It was a decent price, but it's nothing I would request. I'm the type of person that believes if a delivery or restaurant pizza is just ok I may as well save my money and make a frozen pizza. The pizza is very good for takeout or delivery. I actually like it quite a bit. The low rating is due to the fact that every single time I order, my pizza is significantly undercooked to the point of being doughy. I tried to solve the problem by ordering it well done. But despite asking for well done, they never actually do it. So you have to ask for it to be thrown back in the oven, at which time there's about a 50% chance that the employee at the counter will have an attitude about it, even though you're just politely asking for your pizza to be cooked all the way. I am a faithful customer to Hungry Howies, tonight I ordered online $40 in pizza, not only was pizza 2 hours late, but I called after 90 min (pizza promised in 1 hour) and asked where pizza was and they said on its way... the person who answered phone asked if I wanted left on porch and I specifically told her and noted on the online order NOT to leave on porch... we just had a severe rainstorm and had leaves, ants and pigeon crap that was accumulated there. We ordered pizza for delivery to the Wigwam Resort when the delivery driver got there he blew me up yelled at me that he called several times. We are part of a huge event and I had people coming in & out. The pizza was for the kids. Our valet guy gave him a ride to our room and he didn't have change and he was rude about the tip when he didn't have change so my valet guy Emilio took a $20 to get change and I gave him a better tip which he didn't deserve for what he said, to be exact he said you gave me a lousy tip $2.50? I have been to other hungry howie's locations and they have been excellent. I spend almost 100.00 on 4 pizza, 2 breadsticks and 2 orders of boneless wings. I also added Cajun and Garlic herbs crust. The pizza I order that it was supposed to be a veggie pizza without onions, tomatoes but everything else was really poor in the toppings. Also the 4 meats pizza I got was really poor in the toppings and the pineapple pizza was poor with the toppings too. The pepperoni with jalapeños and the 3 cheese pizza was excellent with the flavor and toppings. The wings were great too and the breadsticks too. The system at Hungry Howie's seemed to be having some issues and unfortunately the card payment wasn't going through. After a couple attempts the manger assisted and we were able to get it done. He even offered a discount to accommodate us for system processing time. The willingness to accommodate was such a kind gesture and exceeded our expectations.
