We tried quite the spread here! This restaurant is pretty big (I only think so coming from the city) and we were really quickly seated on a weekend during lunchtime. The staff were super friendly and constantly checked in with us, switching the grill and cleaning out plates. We did both bbq and hotpot, and it was amazing. First of all, their sauce bar is definitely the best I've seen! They have all the sauces and some premade ones, any combination is sure to be delicious! I also ate lots of their crab legs, which were decently sized and sooo yummy. The bbq meat was pretty good, but my favorite was definitely the marinated short ribs. I tried tomyum as my hotpot base and I loved it. I had a really good experience here and highly recommend to others!

I loved it. I am southern tho and I miss seafood boils. If you don't like food in a plastic bag there are various options. You can do a Korean bbq or the hot Pot options where they bring a ton of food to the table and you cook it in a pot or on a grill. The service was great. Fast easy. The ambience is very 'bar in a hotel' on one side and family / group restaurant on the other. The bathroom is shared with the hotel lobby, walk past the bar and down the hall.

Soooo good. The flavor was out of this world. For as messy as the eating can get I was very impressed at how clean everything was. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you love seafood...you have to come to hungry pot.

Hot Pot Again after stoping by floor and decor on federal rd. Nice and easy parking , Good broth and nice selection of condiments including sides.

    Octopus - so good !!

It was very busy there, but nevertheless their service was very good. You can get food from a self service buffet and decide between Chinese hotpot and Korean bbq. We picked Korean bbq. The food Was delicious, you can't miss their octopus!! Also They changed the pan (it's all you can eat and we were quite hungry). Great experience and I'll be there again !!

So I was initially very excited to hear a Korean BBQ / Hot pot place finally located in CT. I grew up in Northern NJ and was used to some great Korean Restaurants and BBQ. Let me tell you this is not it. I guess if you never had great Korean BBQ or hot pot you can be tricked into thinking this is great. But it's not. Let me break it down. The ordering system just sucks. In NJ, the shabu shabu places only take order for your drinks and the meats/fish. Everything else is self serve. You get to pick your own vegetables, noodles, fish cake, side dishes, dessert, sauces....the sky is the limit. But here you have to order it through the servers. It's a major hassle. The 4 of us decided to do the hot pot. We picked the Hungry Pot soup base...I'm not really sure what that was. It looked like old paint water. The meat for the hot pot was okay. But they cut it way too thin... it's supposed to be a specific thickness. The meat portions are also very small. And when you want more you have to track down the server to get more meat. Although the quality of the meat was okay I found the overall quality of the sides to be way below par. The shrimp dumplings were terrible and this takes the cake. FAKE SPAM. Come on man. In what world do you serve fake spam. I grew up eating spam. I love spam. But fake Spam? No freaking thank you. It's the first time saying this... but whatever was served doesn't do Spam justice. If you want to see hot pot done right, go to Garden Shabu in Little Ferry NI. And for BBQ goto Seoul BBQ in New Britain. Hungry pot was just overall an absolute disappointment. With that being said everyone around us seemed to be having a good time and enjoying themselves....but personally. I'd rather have KFC with cold beer from the package store than be served fake spam.

I have to start off by saying Xavier our server was Amazing. So patient he had to explain the process to us twice and we had many question. Every person from the hostess to bus boys were very service minded. Hungry Pot is the new sensation in Danbury CT that opened Monday May 12th. Hungry Pot is all You can eat, with three choices for cuisines - Cajun Seafood Boil, Korean BBQ, and Hot Pot. Ask your server but I believe there is a time limit for ordering. My husband and I did both the Korean BBQ and Hotpot. Each person at the table chooses their options for each food type. Each option has - beef, chicken, pork, seafood protein choice, vegetable choices, then noodles, rice, and dumpling choices. You do have the option to choose one item from every category. All the items are brought to your table raw or frozen for You to include in your hotpot or grill on the BBQ. The Hot pot is a soup based meal. There are five or six choices for your soup base. The soup is brought out in a pot and put on the small burner show in my pics. Then You choose options to add to the soup base. While your waiting for your food to cook to arrive off to the side their is a help yourself area for all types of sauces, herbs, and spices. In the same area as the sauces there are spring rolls and crispy chicken to eat almost as an appetizer. What kept Hungry Pot from being five stars? The sauces were out in a bar with ladles. Then a small sign was on top of the bar with a diagram of the sauce names. When You have people waiting behind You its hard to really look at the signs. Also many many people are touching those ladles and they are not constantly being changed. I think a series of squeeze bottles with waterproof labels maybe quicker and less of a germ factor. I have a few suggestions for others that I did not know being a 1st timer. When the staff comes around and asks if you want the plate on the grill changed? After You have grilled a few things have them change it. My husband kept saying No and I feel like it affected the food taste. My next suggestion find out if You are able to use the sauces on the grill? Or if the sauces are just for dipping? I felt like we put our server through so many questions I could not ask him another thing. Several birthdays were going on while we dined. Hungry Pot has a big light up sign and a happy birthday song is played over the P.A. system. Fun yet annoying after three of them.

Luckily, there is plenty of space for parking. The restaurant has a good amount of outdoor and indoor seating. Its wood accented interior and warm lighting gives off a southern smokehouse feel, which is very on theme to the food they are serving. Ambiance rate: 8/10. They start off with unlimited corn bread which tasted okay, nothing super special. Rate: 5/10. My family and I ordered... 1. Crispy Pork Belly (from the pit) w/ a side of onion rings: This dish was delicious! The meat was nice and juicy, and the skin was super crispy! Rate: 9/10. - The onion rings were also very tasty and crispy! Rate: 9/10. One negative about this dish is it was a small portion of both meat and side for $23. 2. Table for 4: This consisted of an array of different meats from their pit, as well as 4 sides. As a whole, the portions were very generous, making it a very filling meal, and worth the cost. - Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs: This was flavorful however, the meat was very rubbery. It wasn't falling off the bone which was unfortunate. Rate: 6/10. - Brisket: This was my favorite meat! It was super tender and consisted of a good amount of fattiness! Rate: 10/10. - Dry Rubbed Chicken: This was average, tasted like your regular chicken. Rate: 5/10. - Smoked Sausage: This had a great smoky flavor to it making it very yummy! Rate: 8/10. - Pulled Pork: This was okay in terms of flavor and tenderness. Rate: 7/10. The 4 sides: 1. Truffle Mac n Cheese: This was good, except it lacked a truffle flavor which was disappointing. Rate: 6.5/10. 2. Mashed Potato-Brisket Gravy: This was average, nothing special: Rate: 5/10. 3. Baked Creamed Spinach: This was good, but it was more watery than I would've liked. Rate: 7/10. 4. Sweet Potato Fries: If you're a fan of sweet potato fries, these are right up your alley. Unfortunately, I can't give a fair rating since I don't like sweet potato fries. To add on, they give a variety of their different barbecue sauces which was amazing. My favorite was the Apricot Horseradish! The staff were very nice and helpful! Staff/service rate: 8/10. Overall, they hit the spot with some of their meats and sides, while others didn't. However, if you're in the area, it's worth trying their American barbecue!

As a proud, card-carrying member of the "Find the Best Wings in Connecticut" father-son tour, I…read morehave to start by tipping my hat to my fellow Yelpers... because you were absolutely right. My son and I rolled into TK's American Cafe with high hopes and empty stomachs, ready to see if this stop could challenge the reigning champions of our wing universe: J. Timothy's Taverne and The Groggy Frog. Punchline: It didn't dethrone the champs... but the experience itself was still pretty great. First, the atmosphere is fantastic. Old wooden booths, high tops, TVs right at the table, KENO(!!!), and that perfect slightly chaotic sports-bar energy that tells you wings are about to happen. The décor fits the town vibe perfectly and the place just feels like a wing institution. The service? Excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic -- exactly the kind of crew you want guiding you through 70+ wing sauces like a sommelier of poultry. Now... the wings. The chicken itself was excellent quality and cooked perfectly. Crispy skin, juicy meat, great size -- everything you want when the wings arrive. When we saw the massive sauce selection, we were ready for wing nirvana. But this is where the prophecy of Yelp reviews past came true. The sauces were delicious in flavor... but thin in viscosity. Instead of lovingly clinging to the wings like a good sauce should, many of them staged a dramatic escape and formed a puddle at the bottom of the platter. So instead of eating wings, we spent half the meal doing a sort of wing-dunking relay, re-dipping each bite back into the sauce lagoon. To be fair, the teriyaki and barbecue-based sauces held on better, but if you're a classic hot-sauce wing person like me, you may find your wings swimming more than sticking. The blue cheese was excellent, the celery and veggies were fresh and crisp... although the carrots were so wide they looked like they were cut for a horse with impressive jaw strength. Credit where it's due: the steak fries were fantastic, and the nachos were surprisingly great -- the kind that taste like something you could make at home... except somehow way better. So where do we land? Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Very good food overall. But on the Connecticut Wing Power Rankings, the crown still belongs to J. Timothy's and The Groggy Frog. Would I come back? Maybe... but on the drive home we passed about six intriguing Brazilian restaurants and a Pepe's pizza, and suddenly my lunch decision tree got complicated. Still, I'm glad we tried it. TK's is a fun spot with a great vibe -- just maybe bring a spoon so you can scoop the sauce back onto your wings. PS: if you stick blend/emulsify some xanthan gum into the wing sauce when you're making it hot... It will stick perfectly to the wings... In case improvement is something you're interested in
