We tried quite the spread here! This restaurant is pretty big (I only think so coming from the city) and we were really quickly seated on a weekend during lunchtime. The staff were super friendly and constantly checked in with us, switching the grill and cleaning out plates. We did both bbq and hotpot, and it was amazing. First of all, their sauce bar is definitely the best I've seen! They have all the sauces and some premade ones, any combination is sure to be delicious! I also ate lots of their crab legs, which were decently sized and sooo yummy. The bbq meat was pretty good, but my favorite was definitely the marinated short ribs. I tried tomyum as my hotpot base and I loved it. I had a really good experience here and highly recommend to others!

I loved it. I am southern tho and I miss seafood boils. If you don't like food in a plastic bag there are various options. You can do a Korean bbq or the hot Pot options where they bring a ton of food to the table and you cook it in a pot or on a grill. The service was great. Fast easy. The ambience is very 'bar in a hotel' on one side and family / group restaurant on the other. The bathroom is shared with the hotel lobby, walk past the bar and down the hall.

Soooo good. The flavor was out of this world. For as messy as the eating can get I was very impressed at how clean everything was. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you love seafood...you have to come to hungry pot.

It was very busy there, but nevertheless their service was very good. You can get food from a self service buffet and decide between Chinese hotpot and Korean bbq. We picked Korean bbq. The food Was delicious, you can't miss their octopus!! Also They changed the pan (it's all you can eat and we were quite hungry). Great experience and I'll be there again !!

So I was initially very excited to hear a Korean BBQ / Hot pot place finally located in CT. I grew up in Northern NJ and was used to some great Korean Restaurants and BBQ. Let me tell you this is not it. I guess if you never had great Korean BBQ or hot pot you can be tricked into thinking this is great. But it's not. Let me break it down. The ordering system just sucks. In NJ, the shabu shabu places only take order for your drinks and the meats/fish. Everything else is self serve. You get to pick your own vegetables, noodles, fish cake, side dishes, dessert, sauces....the sky is the limit. But here you have to order it through the servers. It's a major hassle. The 4 of us decided to do the hot pot. We picked the Hungry Pot soup base...I'm not really sure what that was. It looked like old paint water. The meat for the hot pot was okay. But they cut it way too thin... it's supposed to be a specific thickness. The meat portions are also very small. And when you want more you have to track down the server to get more meat. Although the quality of the meat was okay I found the overall quality of the sides to be way below par. The shrimp dumplings were terrible and this takes the cake. FAKE SPAM. Come on man. In what world do you serve fake spam. I grew up eating spam. I love spam. But fake Spam? No freaking thank you. It's the first time saying this... but whatever was served doesn't do Spam justice. If you want to see hot pot done right, go to Garden Shabu in Little Ferry NI. And for BBQ goto Seoul BBQ in New Britain. Hungry pot was just overall an absolute disappointment. With that being said everyone around us seemed to be having a good time and enjoying themselves....but personally. I'd rather have KFC with cold beer from the package store than be served fake spam.

I have to start off by saying Xavier our server was Amazing. So patient he had to explain the process to us twice and we had many question. Every person from the hostess to bus boys were very service minded. Hungry Pot is the new sensation in Danbury CT that opened Monday May 12th. Hungry Pot is all You can eat, with three choices for cuisines - Cajun Seafood Boil, Korean BBQ, and Hot Pot. Ask your server but I believe there is a time limit for ordering. My husband and I did both the Korean BBQ and Hotpot. Each person at the table chooses their options for each food type. Each option has - beef, chicken, pork, seafood protein choice, vegetable choices, then noodles, rice, and dumpling choices. You do have the option to choose one item from every category. All the items are brought to your table raw or frozen for You to include in your hotpot or grill on the BBQ. The Hot pot is a soup based meal. There are five or six choices for your soup base. The soup is brought out in a pot and put on the small burner show in my pics.Then You choose options to add to the soup base. While your waiting for your food to cook to arrive off to the side their is a help yourself area for all types of sauces, herbs, and spices. In the same area as the sauces there are spring rolls and crispy chicken to eat almost as an appetizer. What kept Hungry Pot from being five stars? The sauces were out in a bar with ladles. Then a small sign was on top of the bar with a diagram of the sauce names. When You have people waiting behind You its hard to really look at the signs. Also many many people are touching those ladles and they are not constantly being changed. I think a series of squeeze bottles with waterproof labels maybe quicker and less of a germ factor. I have a few suggestions for others that I did not know being a 1st timer. When the staff comes around and asks if you want the plate on the grill changed? After You have grilled a few things have them change it. My husband kept saying No and I feel like it affected the food taste. My next suggestion find out if You are able to use the sauces on the grill? Or if the sauces are just for dipping? I felt like we put our server through so many questions I could not ask him another thing. Several birthdays were going on while we dined. Hungry Pot has a big light up sign and a happy birthday song is played over the P.A. system. Fun yet annoying after three of them.

Let me start by saying Hungry Pot in Danbury is a whole vibe. I used to drive to West Hartford 2-3x a week for the crab boil. Jason finally opened a spot in Danbury on Newtown road. Hungry post is a excellent experience from the music to the food and drinks. Not to mention the service is excellent! Shout out to Jerry! read more

All you can eat Korean. We did the BBQ. Great idea. Service was great. You can get as much food as you can eat. But the bottom line for me is that the food just wasn't that tasty. Especially for Korean BBQ. I get how expensive good K BBQ is. And the thought of being able to go but on as much Kalbi is alluring. I ate my fill and all. But the enjoyment factor just wasn't there. read more

So excited they opened! Went for lunch and it was great! There's no Korean bbq or hot pot on the area and this fills that hole. Did bbq and the meats/veggies were fresh, service great and reorders taken quickly, and the sauce bar and pickings are great too. Excited to go for dinner and bring my son, helps knowing there's fries for him if he's picky lol. Trying hot pot next time but from looking at other tables it seems great too. So much food, fun to cook on your own, a real experience. The road outside is busy but you can't tell at all, gteat atmosphere and feels trendy inside. Huge fan and going to be a regular! read more

Went to the place on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty. I have never been there before so asked them to explain to me the situation. Sat for a very long time waiting for our initial order. Drinks took a very long time. Eventually we received a very small amount of food which took forever to cook. We were starving and did not like the tuna or fish. It took forever to order more food. Which was a very small potion of shrimp and pumpkin. Hungry and thirsty I went up to the register to find out what was going on and I was given a bill for almost $100. How can that be we were still very hunger and ate barely anything. A women came out claiming to be the chef and said we were already there for an hour. Yeah sitting and waiting. Not sure what her point was. What a rip off that place is. We were both still hungry and were given small scraps of food. No customer service. I instead of asking if we wanted more food, a drink or desert we were told we had been there an over an hour! Yes waiting. We left very hungry. read more

Been here 4xs with my family had great experience food n service was good when it first opened. My mom is visiting so i decided to take her there for her birthday 11/22 walk in told hostess we would like to be seated for the Cajun food she told us there were not waiters on that side we had to sit where they do Korean bbq to her we dont wanna sit where anyone was cooking it was probably maybe 3 tables be occupied by other guest so she put us way in the back to the right sat waitress came took our order left came back 7 mins later to take order again left then 5 mins later someone else came again with the waitress to take our order again gave order again for the 3rd time to then sit and wait 10 more minutes and the waitress comes with a burning flat metal she got from one of the other tables it was smoking and she put right in the cart right next to where we were sitting at that point my family and i decided to just leave i told the hostess what happened she just smiled giggled and said ok the place was empty it was plenty of sits there and they was the best they can do i guess the place was only good when it first opened smh read more

If there was a legitimate reason for the delay, it was never communicated to us. No "your table is being cleared," no "we're just running behind," nothing. Just silence while other couples were seated in front of us. What was the difference between their table and ours that we were moved to the side to stand and wait? Everyone was a party of 2. We arrived on time and were the first ones in the door.. I truly didn't want to believe what this looked like, but it became impossible to ignore. We ended up leaving because the situation made us feel disrespected and unwanted as customers. Valentine's Day is obviously a busy night, but fairness and basic communication are non-negotiable. I had an amazing dining experience at Hungry Pot Korean BBQ! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to explain how everything worked. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and had a great atmosphere--perfect for a fun dinner with friends or family. The all-you-can-eat selection was impressive. I have been to Hungry Pot a few times now and the service is always top tier! Cristian is the most attentive server. We did KBBQ and when you place your order for meats etc. it's literally brought out seconds later. Additionally, this is such an amazing deal for all the foods you can select from. We've been to Hungry Pot like three times in the last two weeks and every time the service and the food has been absolutely incredible! So far we've done the hot pot and the barbecue and both options are incredibly delish. They have lots of food options that are all very high quality and fresh. my first time coming here and it is great! the staff are super nice, (thank your Christian!) as well as accommodating, and overall made our experience so great :) I def recommend to pace yourself, as the portions are very generous! I recommend coming a little earlier than the time you wanna dine, as we came on a Saturday and had to wait a half hour. (which isn't an issue, Saturday's on Halloween are busy!) read more

I have been going to hungry pot for almost a full year now and everytime I have not been disapointed yet. The selection is absolutely amazing and the prices are so fair for an all you can eat buffet. The servers are very quick and I barely notice the wait for my food. Everytime I come here the place is Clean and the sauce bar is completely full.
