My husband and I had an amazing experience with our 90 minute head spa. It was a body, facial, and head spa experience! The facility was clean and very chic! The spa technicians (Heaven & Vivian) were kind and attentive. They provided a blow dry and snacks after the services. It was non-stop pampering. I wish I had more time with the scalp massage. Maybe another service that focuses on just the scalp would provide that experience. A lot of time was spent on the facial portion. My husband experienced more scalp massage than me. Pro tip: 10% for cash payment

I learned about this head spa because I get my nails done next door, which is another service you should try! Friendly and relaxing service from the time I entered the building until the time I left. They give you a cute small bag to put your jewelry in. Staff do a quick assessment of your needs: areas of focus massage (I chose neck and shoulders), type of pressure (strong, soft), type of hair (highlighted, oily, dry) and sensitive areas of the skin/scalp then I was led up the stairs to a calming atmosphere. I was welcomed with a foot soak and some water or tea. When I got to my massage table, they provided me a robe to change into then gave me a big box to place all my belongings in. The box is placed under the massage table so it was with me the whole time. They started off with a head massage then they transitioned to massaging my neck, shoulder, arm, and hand with the use of hot stones; it felt so relaxing! Then they started with a facial (clean, massage, steam, serum, and use multiple derm rollers). After this, they started washing my hair and massaging my head with multiple tools. After all of this, I changed back into my clothes and went into another room where they blow dried my hair while getting a foot massage and drinking flower & fruit infused hot tea and eating snacks. I had Nikki and my sister had Tracy; they were both professional and friendly! My hair is so soft and I felt completely pampered! They're having a special this month (May): 20% off any package and if you pay cash, it's an extra 10% off (total 30% off)! I got the $160 package and paid $112 (cash) for a foot soak, facial, head, neck, shoulder, arm, and hand massage, hair wash and massage, blow dry along with hot tea & snacks. Lots of available parking, ATM nearby, and places to eat and shop!

I loved this experience! The service was amazing! The location is beautiful! The inside is super chic and elegant! The entire massage was 2 hours! They used EVERYTHING! I had a collagen mask on my face and my hands. They had a heated eye mask and heated pad beneath me! I got a foot massage and a oh my gosh I cant even remember how much stuff they did! It was amazing and sooooo relaxing! It was worth every penny! I have to bring my mom! I highly recommend this experience! They scrubbed me, washed my hair, blew dry it! It was perfect!

One of the best haircut I have had. Thank you Norma. Having thin and frizzy hair I am super picky. I felt like a new person after the cut and style. She listened to every little detail I mentioned and kept it in mind. Goal was to not cut too much and she managed to do that and give me healthy hair

This was my first time here. I've really been wanting to try a spa hair treatment. While searching on Instagram, their page popped up. It was a close drive and I had the day so I called and they had an appointment available and I took it. They do require a $20 dollar deposit which was super easy to do through Venmo. The place is big and clean. Had to do a quick questionnaire and treatment was started in a quiet serene space. Relaxing music, ambient lighting, and water sounds. My treatment was so relaxing and enjoyable. It was just what I need and exactly what I was looking for. The staff were helpful, friendly, and caring. Over all it was a great experience. I will definitely be returning and telling everyone about it.

Oh my gosh I'm still sitting in the lobby and I am so relaxed I can barely type this. As someone who gets massages all the time - I would trade my full body massage for this scalp treatment with upper body massage hands down! What an amaaaaazing experience. The ambiance, the service, the cleanliness, the snacks, the tea, the treatments. WOOOOOOW. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. If you like getting your hair washed or even a friend playing with your hair come here and get the scalp treatment!!!! The bed was warm, I had a treatment that involved a mini facial which was wonderful, had my hands moisturized in gloves and everything. Then after they treat your scalp you go into another little room with tea and snacks and they blow dry your hair (if you want) and there's a foot massager. Oh my goodness the most wonderful 90 minutes of my life! Thank you so so so much and I will absolutely be back! read more

Had my first head spa experience today! I did the Jade Experience and it was exactly what a working mama of three children needed. I fell asleep during the appointment because it was so relaxing. The experience first started off with massages on the neck, shoulders, scalp, arms and hands. And then the head washing began. My specialist definitely spent time washing my hair throughly and ensuring I left with clean, soft hair. The ladies are very kind upstairs :) will be back!! read more

This was my first head spa experience and it definitely did not disappoint! I chose the Jade package (90 minutes) and it was just the right amount of time for a mini facial/scalp and upper body massage. The coffee scrub was my favorite! I loved the sensation of water running down my scalp. Highly recommend! I will definitely be coming back! read more

Honestly the girl that worked on me was nice and I'm sure she did her best. But the customer service wasn't great. It was 110 for basically a facial not really a hair spa. I input that i wanted to see my scalp treatment. They didn't do it. I honestly let it be to see how it would go. From the start though i heard they couldn't accommodate me for being a walk in which i understand she gave me alternative times. I came back sat for like 15-20 min talked with another lady who was also getting a service a bit more expensive than mine and she asked if they could accommodate her. I would assume you could accommodate t someone who has major allergies and has prepaid for a service and then you tell her she should've said something before and then proceeded to tell her they'll do their best. We were placed alongside each other and the rooms were super tiny i was asked to undress and put a robe on the room wasn't a room it was like curtains between the rooms with beds and more curtains i could here them talking between the service grabbing items from each other. It wasn't the most pleasant. Lastly they semi blew out my hair because they didn't have time to do a style gave me a tea and went on their way. read more

I booked 3 head spa treatments for my friends and I. We had such an amazing experience! The place is clean, serene, and so relaxing. This was my first time trying a head spa. I bought the 60 min head spa, it included neck and shoulders massage with a mini facial. While I got my hair dried, I received tea, water, and crackers. I started going to Erin when my daughter messed up my hair, and I haven't stopped I have trusted her with my hair through and through. I decided to cut my hair off I knew she'd tell me the truth of I should or not! Well folks, she nailed it again! I posted my long blonde, my few month grow out, then 6+ month grow out. She's so great there is never a stage it looks bad! The place is perfectly located and the new owners is doing great stuff to the salon, and everyone is great! My Son recently bought a house in Belmont Shores, Long Beach Ca. While visiting from Lake Tahoe I asked a longtime friend who she does her hair? Jill recommend Donn @ D'Aversa! I was not able to get in on that visit as the whole salon was booked, that's a good thing! Last week I went back to visit and reserved an appointment with Donn & WOW I was glad I did! His magical hands, color cut & style made me a new woman! I was looking for a younger Look with some real style! Done! I am completely in love with this Salon! I have been going to D'Aversa since i was a kid. More importantly i've been seeing the stylist Bonnie RELIGIOUSLY for 15+ years! Couldn't ask for a better stylist... BECAUSE THERE ISNT ONE! She is so talented and stunning! Putting the trust in her for creating the best change and making you feel like a whole new person is crucial. In a way, I don't want to write this review because this place is a little hidden gem in the world…read moreof hair salons. However, they do deserve to be bragged about!! After many extension consultations, I came to Dana and her cute little salon as my last stop. Other salons were either just not willing to make this a great experience for me, or definitely quoted too many extra services and pricing. After the initial extensions were put in, the stylist's first words were: "Oops, it's a little crooked. If you don't mind it, just try and pull some hair to cover the bald spot." Wait...WHUT?!? You know you screwed up but you want me to be okay with it? Extensions are $$$ & I had saved money so I could do cover my pixie cut as it was growing out. I left the salon because she said she couldn't do anything more that day. Can I tell you, having 6+" of the right side of my shaved head bare because the stylist misjudged where she placed the extensions is not a good look! I texted her within a few hours begging her to fix it and she was very upset that she was going to have to come in the next day on her day off because I was upset. Again, wtf? You goofed and now you're mad because you have to fix it? I was surprised she would want anyone to see her work looking like a disaster. After all, that is for calling card. I let her know I wasn't mad, but I had to beg her to fix it. When I went in the next day, she was frustrated and said she was just going to take them out. She wasn't willing to fix it. I paid how much to install these and she was going to take them out and not bother to fix the problem? Luckily the owner of the salon offered some of her extra tape in extensions. She saw the problem and while trying not to interfere, she offered a solution. That is when I decided to search for a new stylist. Dana responded quickly to my online request. When I arrived at her cute little salon, there was another consult ahead of me. I was listening to Dana discuss that person's needs and she was so professional, super knowledgeable, and accommodating! It immediately put me at ease and in a positive and hopeful mind frame that my situation could be fixed by Dana. As previous stylists pointed out, Dana noted my extensions were a bit messy but she definitely could fix it and make the whole hairstyle look fuller, more normal than it did, and for a fraction of what many other stylists were charging. Dana was not the most expensive, but neither was her quote the least expensive, but right in the middle, but her customer service, level of knowledge, and warm and friendly demeanor puts her way over the top of all the other salons I've been to. Trust me, that was over six salons! Then, the best news was that she could do my hair right there and then! I was the last appointment she had booked and she and her new stylist, Nikki, had time. I was over the moon! I did not have to put up with my funky, mullet looking hair another day. She took apart what I had already installed and added a few more tape ins and my hair looks natural, like it's my own, super cute now, and full volume! Not just a string of hair attached to my head. I am no longer self-conscious about my beads showing and having a thin set of extensions. I cried from sheer Joy as this was how it was supposed to be when I first thought about having extensions. Dana brought my vision to life and it was no more expensive than my first set! In my career, I have high visibility working with donors and large events and I always need to look professional. I'm not shy about telling people I have extensions especially when I have a pixie one day, and 24 hours later I have chin length hair LOL Another awesome addition to this story is Dana also does color so it is going to be a One-Stop shop for me! I know I know, this is a super long review and I edited it down already! But it is important to know I did do my due diligence and research and Dana was by far the most knowledgeable, down to earth, professional, most experienced stylist that I met with. I also referred her to my other stylists up in LA, Hawaii, and Washington for when they have clients who move to Orange County. Dana and Nikki are amazing! I'm embarrassed but I believe I told them I loved them at least five or six times. If you are in the market for new extensions or just maintenance, I honestly say to come straight to Dana and don't bother meeting with all the other salons in the Long Beach area. I've done all the leg work for you! PS if you have never had extensions done, absolutely come to Dana. She listens to what you want, tells you what she can do, and offers so many ideas, suggestions, and solutions. She also knows the best type of extensions for your needs. However, do your research. Extensions are not cheap. Yes, it's like a car payment or half your rent for a month LOL. My photos only show the result of what Dana did. It was too embarrassing to take photos of my before look!

If you were to combine steal wool with a thick, course horse-hair like mane, you would have my hair type. Unruly is an understatement. Curly, hard-to-tame and "difficult to cut/style" are some of the brash comments I've heard over the years in a quest to find the perfect hair stylist. Alas, I did find him, now 7 years in the coming and still patient enought to deal with my nest, about every four weeks. Mr. Rick Anthony is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had cut my hair. His expertise, not to mention experience, truly is evident each time I go in for a cut. I go in with a mess and come out with a sweet hair cut i can style, mold, and work with that doesn't take forever to do. Mr. Anthony had always been punctual, flexible in his work hours and easy to work with considering my non-traditional work schedule. As a guy I expect to get in and out in a timely manner, not wanting to spend over an hour in a bustling hair salon. Ricky is on time, ALWAYS friendly and most of all is an expert in male haircuts. I have been a client of Rick Anthony, a star stylist at D-Aversa Salon, for over ten years. Obviously I think he is the greatest stylist around. I enjoy my visits to the salon. It is chic yet very comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and social but also relaxing. Upon arrival you are offered wine or water and then seated next to a jar of various chocolates. What could be better than that? I have nothing but great things to say about the entire staff but especially Ricky. I have very fine, straight hair in a boring shade of dishwater blonde. Jerome is THE BEST stylist I have ever worked with. I have been going to him for years and I always walk away feeling amazing. It took me forever to find someone who was this good. What makes him great you ask? He is professional, knows his craft exceptionally well, is always continuing to expand his knowledge of the latest techniques and has an amazing eye for what is going to bring out the most beautiful style for your face. One of the things I love about Jerome is when I call for an appointment he says "Be open to..." It always makes me feel like he is really thinking about me and my style and gently opening the door to new ideas I wouldn't have thought of myself. The ideas are always 100% spot on BTW. I've never had my hair done here even though it seems to be mostly a hair salon. Instead I buy my Aveda hair products here and get my manicures and pedicures done with Tiffany. If your looking for someone that is passionate about nails then Tiffany is your girl! Every time I go in to see her she is always so friendly and curtious. Her manicures and pedicure are always perfect and I always leave feeling like new again. Whenever I break a nail, she fixes it with gel at no extra charge and it looks so natural that I can't even tell I broke it in the first place. I have been seeing Esthetician, Justine Tyler for my eyebrows. I orginally went to Justine a few months ago to repair a poor threading job. The salon is close to my office, so I thought I would give it a try. First of all, Justine repaired my eyebrows perfectly. She listend]ed to my complaints and gave me back the exact look I prefer for myself. She is always on time, which I appreciate since I usually schedule my appointments during my lunch break. Danielle DePalo ( Hair Stylist / Colorist) did an amazing job on my hair. My hair was in desperate need of a color fix as it was very yellow and orange between the blonde and my brown roots (a work-in-progress ombre). Needless to say, my hair needed a make-over. Not only does she do my hair, but she also does my whole family as well, mom, sister, cousins, aunts, etc. Not one person has ever had anything bad to say about her. Rick Anthony is the hair stylist to see at D'Aversa. I've been going to him since 2000. I drive one hour to see him and he is worth it! I get my hair high-lighted and low-lighted with foil, then cut.
