INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: Losing one's hair is a bit of a gut-punch to most guys; I know it certainly was for me. I started losing my hair around 18 years old and the decline was rather steep. Before I knew it, I had a huge bald spot at only 23 years old! I used the Bosley procedure at that time, and achieved, frankly, disappointing results considering the cost. Within a few years you couldn't even tell that I had had the procedure with the exception of a giant scar on the back of my head. I lived with a considerable diminution of self-esteem as a result of my bald spot that was only exacerbated after my divorce. Taking the step to walk through the doors at Vantis took some courage in and of itself, but oh was it worth it! I was greeted at each visit by the wonderful Vantis staff (Tav is great!): gorgeous, friendly, non-judging professional women who really are there to help you achieve your goal of looking as young as you are/feel. Comfort attends every detail through the process. As an affluent young professional I was very impressed by the sheer style and class of the office, and the great women working there. PROCEDURE: Jess and Kim were my specialists, and I couldn't be more pleased! I hate to short-change them by referring to them in tandem, but they were almost always both in the room at the same time. They project a complete command of the subject matter--Virtual Follicle Replication--and guide you through the entire process to ensure your comfort before they begin. Once they do, they employ the kindest bedside manner. They consistently check on your comfort and pain level while Tav regularly offers refreshments. If you've ever had a tattoo, consider that the baseline of the procedure, but with much, much more quiet devices, and considerably less pain thanks to the numbing gel and Jess and Kim's very gentle technique. Most of the time they would work together; each taking a hemisphere of the head (likely to maximize procedural impact while reducing time spent). ETCETERA: If you aren't much for conversation, the massive LG 4K flat screen TV is loaded with various streaming services that you are free to command. Personally, I enjoyed the experience of chatting and getting to know Jess and Kim, and even picking out programs that we would all enjoy together. I honestly spent so much time laughing at various stand-up comedy specials and cracking jokes with the girls that the days really felt more like spending time being pampered by funny, beautiful women than it did getting a procedure of any kind. RESULTS: The results are night and day!!! My hair hasn't looked this full since I was a kid!!! I couldn't possibly be more pleased by the outstanding results; I am elated! It is definitely pricey(and when you start to become desperate, you start spending a little more), but I couldn't continue to commit to this any further due to constraints and the results were not really there. (Again, this is just my case). I did take before, during, and right after photos, but I didn't see any significant gains in the year I was there. The small gains I may have thought I had, they seem to have reversed and some of the thinning areas seem more sparse today (Jan 2024) than when I started this journey in early 2022 (or maybe the treatments just paused my loss, and stopping those treatments just unpaused it, I don't know).
