My husband and I came here looking to replace our antique baldwin door hardware. Backstory: our sellers from hell didn't leave the set key, or inform us it was broken. Jeff, knew exactly the door we had. Then he explained in detail what we had on our hands and even threw in a referral to two locksmiths. I was listening to him, he explain the difference between the two referrals. the budget friendly referral is not budget friendly anymore, but over the phone we liked his customer service over the other. Jeff's expertise was flawless down to him running to his stockroom to provide us the parts. Since we were in a rush to get the job done & be back for a delivery. (new home owners) alert. Jeff is the "Aidan Gillen" of Hardware. But I sure caution: DO NOT use their budget friendly referral. That man doesn't have the expertise for these beautiful complex doors, we ended up replacing the mortis lock (+additional $350), then this budget guy took the wrong measurements of our equipment and shaved down the door tongue pin too far, the replacement cost us an additional $50 and change. Plus their service fee $225. Our business will be back, despite the locksmith experience. Have your own locksmith in hand, hell we found out a family friend is going to give us the family discount now. Just ask, we may even have neighbors who are experts that we can trade trades with. Dan worked with me to find the replacement hardware for my Schlage EB series hardware. He recommended the Baldwin hardware since Schlage no longer makes the EB series. He also referred me to a locksmith that would need to cut another hole in my door in order for the Baldwin hardware to fit. The cost for my double door hardware is about $850. The cost for the locksmith to install the hardware is $350. I believe all of this is expensive and I might wait for a month or two to get this done. read more

After my Home Depot lock was "bumped" three times and my condo was burgled three times (They took a pillow case and cherry picked small items like CDs, coins, collectibles, jewelry so that I didn't realize at first that I had been robbed.), I wised up. (Please look up how to bump a lock on YouTube. It's super easy, and the bump keys are LEGAL and sold on Amazon, eBay, etc!) I tracked down hard-to-bump locks and ended up at Huntington Hardware on Holt on a hot and humid day (say that three times with a cracker in yer mouth...ha!) I drove around trying to find a store with a sign...hmmm. No sign. When I finally found it (no GPS), the store had no windows....just a door in front and one in back that was very solid. HH is like Fort Knox--talk about security. I went in through the back door. The A/C hit me like a blessing. Then, I almost went into shock over the standing sample racks and wall displays behind the counter. Epic. I realized that in addition to near impossible bumpable locks, they also sold "hardware"---duh! There were many staff. I was helped me get what I wanted after my tale of woe. It took about five minutes. They explained that because the key blanks are proprietary, no crook was going to be able to use a cheap ground down key or a bump key to get through the lock. Also, I would have to come back to them with the lock number to get spare keys. Back 15 years ago, it cost $25 per key...the locks are that specialized. Of course, my kids promptly lost their keys. [*sigh*] :-/ I am posting this late (*guilt), but I think the world of their quality service and goods. For those not happy with HH, you give up too easily, take offense too easily, or want people to baby you. I hate to say it, but snowflakes melt. Different sellers of hardware have different standards of coloration of the part depending on the age of production, etc. I just bought 25 shiny brass hardware (gold doorknobs) that was much lighter in tone to the original 30-year old ones that came with my house. If a person doesn't answer the staff's question about the old hardware or thing you are trying to match, you cut off the huge library of experience that person has to work with. Turn the other cheek and call/come in another day with the old part, tape measure (or measure the part), etc. They don't have ESP. read more

Wow wow wow I just got off the phone with them. I should have listened to the reviews. Called looking for cabinet cup pulls yes I only need 7 . Being a hardware store I thought they could direct me to a brand that had similar color to Emtek satin brass - which I had already purchased . Gentlemen was pleasant at first. He asked where I had purchased my other pulls. I simply stated online because I don't feel I need to tell him. Well his response then is well for 7 pulls it's not worth my time and efforts to help you look for pulls! I said to him wow wow wow that's the kind of customer service you have. He doesn't know if after the 7 I need more , he doesn't know what those 7 pulls can later bring . This place is local but my business wasn't good enough . Now I would not give him my business and reading other reviews think before giving them your business !!!!!! To reply to your reply I did get just any brand of hardware. And actually I did purchase from a retailer but I didn't need to give that information to the person who answered the call. I purchased Emtek Mod Hex hardware . And was trying to find cup bin pulls. But your sales person clearly did not want my business as it was not feasible for him. Too much work for just 7 pulls. He stated could you imagine all that work for 7 pulls were his exact words . And the fact that this is ok with the type of customer service provided . Yesterday when coming home from walking my dog I went to unlock my front door and the key was very hard to turn. So hard that I thought I might break the key when trying to get it out of the door. So today 11/21/2022 I called Eddie at Huntington Hardware as I purchased my Emtek hardware from him earlier this year. I told Eddie what my issue was and he asked if I was able to bring it in and he can have his locksmith look at it. For me I was not too far away so I brought the lock cylinder in and Eddie had his locksmith Lawrence look at the lock. Lawrence was a true pro and knows his stuff. He was able to fix my lock with out having to get Emtek involved and waiting a week or so for a replacement part. If you are looking for door hardware I highly recommend Huntington Hardware, not only for their huge selection but the outstanding customer service. I was looking for hardware for a very old, yet sturdy oak door. The problem was, the holes for the door knob and deadbolt were closer than the average hardware set would allow. It apparently had a very unique deadbolt/handle combination in the past. Suffice to say Home Depot did not help me. I was very close to doing some very drastic and surely disastrous measures until I found this place. The door hardware selection in this place is mind-boggling and exactly what I needed! I spoke to the sales associate who was insanely helpful and surprisingly knowledgeable. I explained to him what my situation was and not only did he know what I was talking about, but he showed me exactly the type of combination lock system that my door used to have. He also showed me a much more viable and higher quality option that I immediately purchased on the spot. I also bought a matching door knocker to tie the whole door together. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I rushed to my living room to open my new toys and installed them within the hour. Everything fit perfectly!!! If you're looking for a cheap lock set, and are easy to please, the handful of options at Home Depot is probably your best bet, but if you're looking for something unique and/or a better selection, at a reasonable price with top-notch advice/expertise, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place than this. The fact that I didn't ruin a $2000 door, easily justified the extra $20 I paid for the same lock set from a non-prime Amazon seller. They have a large showroom with extensive inventory. The place is abuzz with numerous employees to help with any questions you have. Everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable. We just left this location. I brought my mom to look for an antique door hardware for her 1903 home she has been restoring. The gentleman behind the desk was so rude to her almost brought her to tears. They didn't carry the piece we need so she left and came back to the car where I was waiting with my baby. I told her maybe we can look online but we needed to have the measurements of the piece, she went back in to the store hoping they could assist her since they would have more knowledge than us, all she wanted was the dimensions. The so very kind gentleman with a terribly poor customer services told her with a rude and condescending voice " look ma'am all you gotta do is measure it" Really??? Is that how you treat a customer? He couldn't help or guide her with that. I get it, she wasn't buying today but she has been a customer multiple times. Here is my history: I needed to re-key my house and called a local locksmith company, so they came up and did their job, cost $450.00 for 5 doors, but the next day the knob door did't open it was locked, I called locksmith back and came again and without asking me they ended up changing it for a new one and told me the old one was broken and got charged $100 .... I was so disappointed and angry with their solution to fix my main door knob, that I got the old pieces left in there and went to HUNTINGTON HARDWARE, and told them what happened.... DAVE CORONA who works in there put everything together and found NOTHING wrong with that, they put it back to where it belonged with free of charge !! they are just amazing and felt bad for me that a lot of locksmith companies really do not know how to work and instead of fixing things they break them and customers pay a high price, by the way locksmith company is call KeyMe (never call them, they do not know what they are doing) Thank you Huntington Hardware, You are the best, Alicia. read more

Ordered new handles for our kitchen cabinets and drawers. They fit great and look amazing. Also, we ordered new hinges as a special order. They didn't fit correctly so when we called, they said there would be a 25% restocking fee when returning them and to bring them in. We did and they realized what the problem was and gave us full credit! I have done business with Hunington Hardware several times and we haven't been disappointed yet. We have been long time customers of this excellent door hardware store. They have very fine quality products and will give practical guidance on everything they sell. This time we were replacing an entry lock that had caused problems for about seven years. I removed the lock and my wife took that lock to them, but it was not repairable, so I purchased a new but identical lock. I tried to install it but with our entry door being almost thirty-five years old, I was having a problem. We called Huntington Hardware and they tried to guide me through it. I was tired and wanted to give up. They encouraged me but I could not get it to cooperated so Eddie came out and spent almost and hour working on it. He was amazing, patient, and knowledgeable but my entry door is very difficult. He suggested a contact that they use for problem doors and I received a call from them the next morning.
