Jaelyn was a great sales person to work with! We were looking for a Ford Escape PHEV and found a good price here, so we made the drive out to Huntley Ford. Jaelyn's method of just letting us spend time with the car, both with and without him present, to make sure it was right for us, really helped seal the deal. He was also flexible about letting us get the car inspected by an independing mechanic, who verified it was in great shape. And he's been responsive to our questions since we took the car home. This is a great approach, more people should ask for him! I feel like we lucked out in terms of salespeople. There's a lot of reviews here that say that this dealership adds extras, and that's absolutely true, but that's the case everywhere. Cars are not the price they're advertised anymore and every dealership is running a bait and switch/upsell operation. Anyone who does a little research on what costs are reasonable and what costs to decline should be able to navigate these conversations just fine: stay firm and stick to your budget. Also, their financing (with no prepay penalties) is a way better rate than what we got for a pre-approval, and our pre-approval offer was competitive. We drove 500 miles to see a car because the dealership refused to discuss any numbers over the phone. When we arrived and test drove the car, we discovered the driver's seat was broken and couldn't be adjusted. They told us they wouldn't fix it--which is absolutely ridiculous, especially considering we had a 500-mile drive back home. They also insisted that the price was non-negotiable. Then they evaluated our trade-in and grossly undervalued it. We had already received quotes from three different places that were $3,000-$4,000 higher. Their solution? They told us to sell our car to another dealership and then come back to do an online deal--something they refused to do before we drove all that way. If that was possible, why couldn't they just discuss numbers online in the first place? The salespeople were dishonest. When we first arrived, we were told the car had just been traded in by a man who was upgrading to a newer model. Later, two salesmen were overheard saying the car was owned by an elderly woman who had kept it in her garage. Why lie about that? We were also told they probably couldn't finance the car unless we put $1,500 down. Why wasn't this disclosed ahead of time? We declined the deal, and then they called us the next day claiming they were willing to work out something better. I told her I was driving from far away and if she could look it over for me to make sure it was in good condition. She told me she walked by it that morning and that it looked as close to new as possible. I drove out to the dealership to buy this peach. When they pulled it up, I thought it was a joke. This truck looked like it just got done running the Baja 500 and won it. There we scratches all around the entire car, mud caked on all the wheels and all over the inside and so much rust under the vehicle that it looked like it had been sitting in floodwaters for days. It was obvious Jasmine never even got out of her seat to look at this P.O.S. Of course, this was their opportunity to bait and switch me to a "nicer" one. We did land on one that we liked, so OK, let's see what we can do on it. I was in the car business for close to 20 years. We would sometimes have some small extra fees, but this one took the trophy . Package A and certification $5,493 Tariff adjustment (again, a used car) $2,500 Service/ Transportation $1,795 (I have a picture of all these insane fees, but for some reason Google reviews won't let me upload them) On top of that, they hit me at $26,000 on my trade, which is well worth $30,000 all day long on a wholesale trade. I even told them I had a buy figure from another dealer for that. And don't be fooled by their B.S. market value and discount. Yes, this truck was priced fairly, but there is not a chance the market value was anywhere near what they said. Then add all the horse shit fees on top, and you are well over the market price. It was a waste of time from start to finish. I had been looking for a truck for a few months now, and many potential buyers can resonate with the feeling of being on the edge of that massive commitment but not yet 100% sure. He took a lot of time out of his day to bring me trucks with different motor/option configurations, encouraged me to test drive the multiple trucks and worked with me to pick my perfect F150. My sales experience was terrible. Expect 1 key, lies about the vehicle, and a bunch of car salesman smoking cigarettes outside the front door. I purchased a truck in August and am still working to get portions repaired. Jose the salesman told me the truck was alright, but it was not. I can tell there was no inspection to the vehicle and am still working to make it right a month later. After my purchase he replied to my calls to the dealership through text on items the dealer owed me signed by him which was supposedly lost. Luckily I still had my copy. We went back and forth for extended coverage where I know they make their money but I did not need. We agreed to not doing this coverage for $9,200 and then was still applied when signing paperwork after a long day. I went back and was able to remove it in the 30 day span and now need to wait 60 days before it takes effect to my overall 3rd party payment. Another "to do". Update: Heather in service made it right after I stopped calling daily and just showed up ( which is a hour away) after 2 weeks of daily contact with the dealer. They pulled the dent (per a piece of paper with their signature), fixed the daytime running light, replaced bad dampener connections to the air dam,and replaced a windshield I was told was wax overspray. I wish they would have looked at the vehicle prior to having me pick it up. It still had tape from the window replacement and was never cleaned with all the work on the interior and exterior. I got to cut an extra key at $360 which they stated was price. No problem, I Just wanted a second key! I read the reviews before calling them and have friends in the area who had attempted to buy vehicles from them, so I was expecting the bull crap but I am appalled at how ridiculous their business model is. I work in phone sales myself so I understand the tactic but sheesh. Their call center is full of younger employees with little knowledge of vehicles or at least F -150s. Saturday morning I inquired about a few F- 150's, looking to get the sales price to finance through my credit union and the dealer fee. Would they have provided said info I would've gladly made the drive to check them out. The only thing their call center employees are trained to say is "we'd be happy to discuss when you come in for a test drive, what time would work for you?", on repeat like robots. I made it clear that I live 5 hours away and had no interest in driving there to discuss what could easily be done over the phone. (If you can't provide that little information, what faith can I have in you to not tack on made up fees when I get there???) Called back hoping to get a different call center employees, they see my number and direct back to the first person I spoke with. More "when can you come in?" responses. I hang up and call their finance department, went to voicemail 3 straight times. Today I requested info on a different truck via email on the website, explicitly saying "do not call me if you will not give me a sales price and dealer fee over the phone". Sure enough I get a call immediately from a call center employee that I had spoke to two days prior, thanking me so much for reaching out about the Ford F -150 "Larry-ot" with "Echo"boost engine. *palm to the face*. She responds "well it's listed at $XX,XXX, but I'm sure we can sharpen our pencils and do a little better once you get here". I asked if the truck had a bed liner and the call center employee took 3 minutes to come back with "it maybe does, but we can confirm when you come in". I tell her to please not call my number again hang up at this point. I've contacted 20+ dealerships across the country in the last 2 months and this is the first to refuse to provide simple financial information. I even had my girlfriend call from her IL area code thinking they may give more information if it was a local number but nope. I know the call center employees (Rachel and Lindsay are who I dealt with) are just doing what they are trained/forced to do, but wow I'd feel empty going home knowing I'd have to come back to work the next day at this dumpster fire of a business to play games on the phone. I've told them 3 times now to not call me until someone will provide financial information over the phone, yet they continue to call me. Eric Williams sold us the vehicle on 12/23/25 and the next day when we wanted to address the problem he totally ghosted us and returned 0 of our calls. Unprofessional. At the time of signing, we were offered extended warranty and were told that it would cover bumper to bumper and agreed to add that on. On 3/09/26 when calling to verify that the extended warranty would cover the problem I was having on my vehicle to avoid surprise cost, they told me yes and would only have to pay the deductible. I verified it twice with the finance department. Today we got the call saying that they would not cover the repair it needs and the warranty is not bumper to bumper. I explained to them that the person I spoke to on 03/09/26 said that it would and even after explaining the issues I was having with my vehicle and even questioned if the warranty that we got covered anything with the powertrain/engine-- they still said yes. The vehicle was listed at $15,000 and when it came time to work the numbers, they came back and said the car was $26,000. $4,000 of that being Ford's expenses/hidden fees. $1,000 of that was for a tracker that they use for themselves just in case the car was stolen from Ford that I would get no use out of and for Nitro in the tires. First, I wanna say that I was so enamored with everybody helping me get a car on my birthday right after I bought my RV across the street at General RV.. Everyone was so helpful. get a really high interest rate for having a great credit score comparatively . of the line extended warranty through them cost me $4250.. I wanted that because I have an RV. I travel for work and you know I stay in my RV and some RV parks across America.. well then I got stuck. My transmission went out on a 2019 F150 lariat and if it wasn't for good people here in Marshall Michigan, that helped me get to least the truckstop and my car in their shop and we've been trying to fight this for days since Monday and it's becoming Monday tomorrow.. But check this out they didn't activate my warranty with the warranty company that bought my warranty. It was never paid for and I've been stuck here for a week. wasn't until Friday that I finally got through to help me with the they didn't even know who hell I was and now they're like they hands with me. I send them emails. They don't call they don't care and they don't give a damn and when I talk to the lady Friday finally they still weren't paid for the warranty, but she went ahead and got me covered so I can go to work finally you know and hopefully I make my job. I don't know. I'm supposed to start work Tuesday. I would've started work Tuesday with the truck. That's why I paid for the rental car reimbursement and towing and all that stuff with my warranty and I'm stuck here in Huntley Ford. Mr. Deric told me he's done with me. Don't fall for it, the prices are too good to be true, because they're not. The used vehicle inventory had a lot of cosmetic damage that a dealership level reseller would typically fix. Various cracked and broken parts that should be replaced. The amount of hidden cosmetic defects made me suspicious of the less easily seen mechanical items. The vehicles were also not well cleaned. Our salesman would be surprised when we walked out to a vehicle and found it dirty or damaged. Even if you find one you like, after very carefully looking it over, then you find out why the prices look so good. There are literally well over $10k in fees that get tacked on. And on top of that, they can only do the listed price (+crazy fees) if you finance through them. Our particular sales guy was very nice, if a little lacking in knowledge, but after we declined to pursue any vehicles then his manager came out and that guy was the epitome of push sleezy care salesman. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I had a terrible experience with Huntley Ford yesterday. Despite phone calls made two days prior to my visit to this dealership to confirm a vehicle's online price and my request to have the car prepped and ready for my scheduled appointment, nothing was as stated when I arrived at the dealership. When I indicated to my Salesman that I intended to pay cash to purchase the vehicle, I was told that I could only get the advertised price if I financed the car. I replied that no one told me that when I called two days before; the Sales Manager then entered the room and informed me "it is in the very small fine print at the bottom of the website." I then reviewed my earlier phone conversation with a Huntley Ford salesperson two days prior on the phone regarding the purchase price of the vehicle and that the answer given to me was "there are no rebates/special circumstances associated with the online advertised price." The Sales Manager replied that answer was wrong, and he attributed the incorrect response to "18-24 year old workers that answer the phones and don't know anything about the vehicles." He further tried to get some empathy by stating "it is hard enough to get these individuals to come to work every day." My second request to have the vehicle ready when I arrived was not done. There was added confusion for 5-10 minutes as the vehicle was marked "sold" in their system and they could not locate the keys. Because of the undisclosed requirement that the car had to be financed to get the advertised price, I never saw the car or took it for a test drive. Another frustrating experience with Huntley Ford was my interaction with their chat bot that answers customer questions on the Huntley Ford website. It is broken and providing incorrect information to customers on various topics. The Sales Manager indicated he is aware of the malfunctioning chat bot but that he is not disabling it because "we are trying to fix it." When I asked why they would not temporarily disable it while they corrected the problems, he stated "these IT problems take time to fix." It was clear he preferred to leave the chat bot misinforming customers on various topics while their IT department works to resolve the problems over a period of days/weeks. While numerous apologies were expressed by the Sales Manager for the misinformation told to me by Huntley Ford employees over the phone and from their website, nothing was done to address my negative interactions with Huntley Ford and improve the situation. As I drove away from the parking lot, I received a text message from our Salesman encouraging me to "finance the car and pay it off early since there were no early payoff fees." In conclusion, this Ford dealership does not put its customers first. I will not return to this dealership because of the numerous mistruths told to me during this single interaction and how poorly this dealership is mismanaged. I encourage everyone reading this review to look elsewhere as Huntley Ford is not a dealership that can be trusted and one which has you -- the customer -- at the center of their business. read more
