I would give Huntley's 10 stars if I could. This is a brand new restaurant. I will describe it as southern hospitality WONDERFUL! My phone died so I only have 2 pictures. Sorry. I will say this. Huntley's is going to be popular so if you want to beat the crowds you better try them while they are new. Start off by saying the staff are naturals when it comes to friendly. Everyone in there was happy to see us and each person that came in. The attention was perfect. I even over heard a very old man come in and the server wanted to know his name so she could remember it for his next visit. We need more of this WONDERFUL attention. They are just naturally friendly caring people. Everything super clean and they were going above and beyond . They brought hand sanitizer right to your table. Each table got they're own . You even got freshly cleaned salt and pepper. They were amazing at how clean they were keeping everything. I was impressed and I'm a dental assistant so I know about keeping thing disinfected between people. They are doing an AWESOME job. All this and I have not even gotten to the best part. The food. This is why I would give them 10 stars if I could. They have a big menu and then on top of that they have not 1, not 2, BUT 3 specialty boards. WONDERFUL!!! I got the fish and chips from the specials menu board and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger from the regular menu. I don't even want to say regular because everything was that good. Fish is perfectly breaded. I'm a southern girl I grew up on fried fish. The fish is fresh and so hot when I put my fork in it steam came out. Oh baby that's WONDERFUL. The fries were great not oily and heavy but light and WONDERFUL My husband and I split our meals and I had half of that burger. Oh the bacon was top quality thick cut and tasty. The burger was really good fresh quality meat. You could tell they were not holding back on freshness. The burger was hot and the lettuce was so fresh I could hear us crunching. Hehehe. The tomato had good flavor too and was nice and juicy like they had just picked it. Bacon Cheeseburger was WONDERFUL!!!! I think there is a theme at Huntley's Place it's called being WONDERFUL. I had no idea what kind of restaurant they were going to be with a name like Huntley's Place . But if I were to describe it I would say country chic The bar is beautiful. Solid wood and the bar stool are fancy country chic too. They have a WONDERFUL mimosa menu and Bloody Mary menu. Can't wait to go back and work my way through the drink menu. What a great little locals spot for breakfast and lunch! Located in a strip mall off General Booth Blvd, it's a popular destination for the surrounding area and I can definitely see why! Kelly took such good care of us, she was energetic, friendly and efficient. She instantly treated us like we were friends. I ordered the peanut butter and banana pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and evenly infused with the delicious flavors! I ordered a separate plate of eggs, toast and hash browns. My husband ordered a classic eggs Benedict which was cooked perfectly! My husband says the Hollandaise could have used a touch more flavor but he had no trouble cleaning his plate with a touch of cholula! To the food to the service everything is 10/10. The food is nice, flavorful and hot. Good prices for a great amount of food. Only thing is I wished it stayed open longer because the food is so good. The ambiance is nice, you get a choice to sit outside or be inside. It's a small place but still fit a great amount of people. I don't usually leave reviews, but the service here is IMMACULATE! Stephanie was the sweetest server. She made sure to accommodate us in any way possible. She even opened the door to greet us coming into the restaurant! We ended up getting a table outside. She never made us feel like we were forgotten! She is extremely kind and gives great recommendations from the menu. We both got the spam 2 egg breakfast. It was delicious. This is the only brunch spot around here that I know has spam on their breakfast menu! Went here after medical testing one morning with my daughter. My daughter found this place online while we waited at hospital. It is tucked away in a shopping center. When we entered we were immediately greeted and asked where we would like to be seated. We decided on the bar. I couldn't even make it to the bar because I was "captured" by the pancake board. So many options and only one tummy. We ordered and didn't take long to get food. The cook made a few mistakes on food but our server immediately.got them corrected. Favorite brunch spot in the Dam Neck area. Absolutely lived Huntley's Place. We tried a couple of different spots before we settled on Huntley's, and then we never looked back. They have great brunch cocktails, and a really great brunch menu. The pancakes are delicious. I tried a different pancake every time I went and they were all quite good. I also had the steak and eggs one time. It wasn't the best steak and eggs I've ever had, but that is an EXCEPTIONALLY high bar and this was QUITE good. The wait staff is always attentive, friendly, and helpful. Several times a member of my group would ask for a recommendation and the couple of times I asked for a recommend they were spot on. The only downside I would say is that the space is small, which leads to the dining area feeling a little cramped/crowded. You also might have to wait to get a table. If you're in the Dam Neck area, highly recommended for brunch. read more

The space is cozy and intimate with very cool decor. Greeted with a smile and warmth as soon as my husband and I walked into the door. Our server had extensive knowledge of the menu and was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The food was BOMB! My daughter and I had lunch here on a slow, no-school Monday. It was our first time in and we were both pleasantly surprised. Cute little space with very friendly, cheerful staff and quick, attentive service. The food was fine - not amazing, but definitely not bad. I had a fried chicken wrap and the kiddo had a burger. She loved her burger but it was huge lol. No kids menu means an adult sized burger for my tiny 8 year old. But she brought it home and ate the leftovers for dinner, so that's a win! Huntley's Place is a wonderful find for me and the family. Looking for a breakfast/brunch place while in the area when good old Yelp once again helped us out. Didn't have to wait too long even with limited seating at this small place. Staff is very friendly and very helpful in every way. Love the environment and you feel welcomed from checking in to leaving out the door with a full stomach. Make sure to check out the daily specials as they have many delicious to try. I had the Blueberry Lemon pancakes with bacon on the side. Everything about my dish was delicious. Fluffy and thick pancakes full of blueberries and lemon zest. Topped with fresh blueberries, cream and lemon slices. Bacon as well was also delicious. My daughter had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and she really enjoyed her meal as well. My wife had the breakfast combo ( pancakes, hash browns, eggs to order, bacon and sausage). She had a lot to eat and couldn't finish. Went to Huntley's Place for brunch this past Sunday and really enjoyed ourselves! We went around 10:30 and were quickly seated, although there was a bit of a line but it went fast. We ordered a hot chocolate and coffee, along with a veggie benedict and cinnamon roll pancakes! Everything was delicious and their menu is expansive. Huntley's Place is located in the Dam Neck Square Shopping Center, which is at the corner of Dam Neck Rd. and General Booth Blvd. Aldi is in this same shopping center. I had passed the place several times, but hadn't gone in until recently. There is ample parking in the shopping center as well. It's very easy to see the yellow sign from the road. My most recent visits here were on September 27, 2020 for breakfast and October 13, 2020 for lunch. The place may look small, but it packs a big punch. On both occasions, we were immediately greeted when we came in. We came in at good times for both visits as it wasn't overly busy at the time. The greetings coming in made me feel like we were coming home. The place gives me more like a diner type feel to it, especially when you see the ads on the tabletops. They are also taking great care when it comes to Covid as well. They have hand sanitizers for you and seating is limited. For breakfast, we got there shortly after they opened for the day. Our server for our breakfast visit was Kelly M. She was great throughout the process and gave us time to look over the menu. I know some ask from time to time if a place has Pepsi or Coke products. They have Pepsi products here. After a few moments, she came back over and were were ready to order at that time. I got the French Toast as the entrée. Sides are a la carte, so I got bacon and eggs that way. In the end, the pricing would be similar to other breakfast places that have it as a combo. Plus, doing it a la carte I got more bacon than expected too. My mom got the Eggs Benedict entrée with hash browns. About 8 to 10 minutes later, Kelly came back with our breakfast order to the table. The food looked great and it was hot. The French Toast, eggs, and bacon were great, and my mom loved the eggs benedict too. Overall, a great food and service experience. With having a great experience for breakfast, we decided to come back in a few weeks later to try their lunch menu. Once again we were immediately greeted and given menus. He asked us what we wanted to drink and got that taken care of quickly. Shortly after, we were ready to order. I decided to go with the Fried Shrimp Dinner with fries as the side, but also includes coleslaw. My mom got the Cheeseburger and chose the coleslaw as her side to go with it. Just like breakfast, the entrées came out about 8 to 10 minutes after ordering. The fried shrimp and fries were nice and hot and tasted great. The shrimp weren't overloaded with breading, which is the way I like it. My mom said the cheeseburger was good too and would get that again as well. Overall, both visits here were excellent. Food and service were amazing. This place makes you feel at home. There are plenty of breakfast and after breakfast options to choose from. Normally, breakfast is available until 3 pm, but since they close at 3 pm for now due to Covid, you can get breakfast all day here. One of my, if not my favorite brunch place! Went here for the first time last year for my birthday and it was awesome. We came over a year later had the same server Christina who is awesome btw. They have specials on their chalkboard and a really good menu that will satisfy all your brunch needs. I got the cinnamon toast crunch pancakes and a meaty/eggy wrap. It was soooooo good! With recently moving to the area and one of my buddies told me about this place saying how good it was so we decided to give it a shot. The place overall was very quirky with loads of character even though it wasn't a very large place. Everything was well put together with a little bar area as well that looked comfy. The decorations were neat and had such a...I don't know...Cozy/homie vibe to it? It just felt cool. Looking at the menu, it had some solid items that would be in line with most of the other favorite breakfast spots and a chalkboard of an amazing variety of pancakes that alone, made us want to come back to try them. We ordered our drinks that came out looking mighty amazing and did not slouch on the "drink" aspect. We then ordered our food and when it came out, all I could think about was "how clean" the cook was. Sometimes for me, ordering the basic plate of eggs, hash, sausage and toast will tell you SO MUCH about who is back there cooking and besides, I was enjoying the drinks as it was almost "brunch time anyhow". The food was prepared very well with a nice size piece of sausage which tends to run on the smaller side. You could tell the griddle was clean and the food was fresh with pride in it being cooked. Yes it was a little on the pricier side but I think it justified itself with the drink quality and how the food was so well loved. Again, if you ask me what I thought, I would say "the food was clean and the place was fun"! My wife and I already have plans to put this one on the rotation and bring our daughters so they can try the pancakes. I'm so glad we were finally able to check this place out. It's always hard finding a good place for brunch because of the long wait times. Our usual brunch spots in the area had over an hour wait (we called ahead asking what the current wait time was). We also tried calling Huntley's but they weren't answering the phone. With that, we decided on another place right down the street. I wanted to drive by and see if Huntley's was open. We saw a few people outside so we popped in to see what the wait was like. It's a very small place but lucky for us the wait time was nothing compared to the others for our big group. After about 30 minutes we were ready to be seated. We were greeted by Debbie who was so pleasant and friendly. She mentioned that she was fairly new, but you couldn't tell because she was very attentive and patient with our group. I tried the dole whip mimosa and it was one of the best mimosas I've had! I also went with the two egg platter. Everything was good and came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the pancakes that our table ordered were a hit. I hope this place sticks around, and it'd be even better if they expanded! read more

This place is small, but has mighty staff and tasty food. I didn't get a good look inside, because I sat at a little table outside (on sidewalk) to eat. My waitress (Kelly) was pretty awesome and friendly. It's really refreshing to have someone upbeat! The young man who was at the host station was also friendly and helpful. When you receive your menu (lunch and breakfast) you're given a spray bottle of sanitizer. I haven't been eating out much, and I hadn't seen this - I thought it was pretty great. My bloody Mary (classic) was good. It wasn't spicy and I enjoyed it. Props to a full bar. The side salad had green peppers, cheese, cucumber, tomato, and croutons. Maybe onions too, I asked for none whether they came on there or not. The greens were a super fresh spinach mix. My turkey sandwich was good size and had nice amount of tomato on it and romaine. The mayo arrived on the side as default. I tried the pasta salad, and I didn't like it since its on the sweet side. Not bad, but not the kind I like. There's a specials menu on the board inside, if you look. Ultimately, a great place that's tasty and fun! I hope the brunch crowd doesn't turn this into another place you have to wait in line for.
