    Sub sandwich
    Stephen o.

I got a hot sub and my family got calzones. I must say the sub was really good but the calzones were the best I've ever had! It was like the crust was made from pretzel dough and stuffed with plenty of cheese and fillings!

Food was good, pricing was sketchy. Website pricing is "out of date" and menus didn't have pricing on them. The cashier seemed to make up prices on the spot.

What's left of our combo pizza with jalapenos.

I love the combo pizza with jalapenos. They cook it very well and the crust is nice and crispy. I think it's a family ran restaurant so they are super nice and friendly. Great staff, great food and they have mini arcade games for the kids and a jukebox for the adults, with great Mexican songs.

I was seated in the bar area (no choice offered), which was odd as this was mid-week and the place was far from crowded. I was attended quickly and placed an order for a Tanqueray martini. It arrived well mixed. I decided on a porterhouse after confirming with my waiter that the filet would not resemble a t-bone, but be a full filet as a porterhouse should. The steak was cooked properly, salad and sides fresh and delicious. I took off a star because my waiter gave up on me. He had checked in several times (I eat really slow these days and it was a lot of food) and the last time offered to bring me a box. I was ready to order dessert, but after a full ten minutes of an invisible waiter, I went to the hostess and offered to pay. She said she would send my waiter to my table. So, back to my table I went and waited some more. By the time he arrived, I was very unhappy. I had planned on coffee and dessert. But ended up going to the gas station next door and picking up some canned espresso and cream. Walking to my car, was an olfactory assault. If you've ever driven past Harris Ranch and the miles of cows standing under the shade structures in their own feces, you have a mild sense of what I experienced. But this was so much worse. My eyes began to water as I imagined I was walking through the feed lots. The stench of urine and cow crap was obnoxious. Some way to end an otherwise good meal. Between the service and the outdoor aroma, I doubt I'll return.

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

The burger was okay but definitely overcooked and not very juicy. It was missing some flavor. The garlic fries were probably the best thing we ordered. The hibiscus lemonade was decent, and the mocktail we got was actually really good. As for the service, some of the staff were really nice and welcoming, but I did feel a little uncomfortable toward the end. When I asked if I could pay with cash instead of card, I got the impression that the person seating us assumed I was going to leave a tip and seemed disappointed when I clarified that I was just paying cash. I also felt like some of the servers were giving us an attitude afterward because we didn't tip. Overall, tipping is a personal choice, and I don't think customers should feel judged or pressured because of it. Some of the staff were genuinely kind, but unfortunately the food and the experience weren't enough for me to want to come back.

We sat at the bar on a busy Thursday in Fresno, and honestly, I highly recommend doing the same. This is a quick-service-style restaurant where you can wait in line to order and then be seated, but snagging a seat at the bar gives you a completely different perspective on the experience. Aaron and Johnny were an absolute dream team. If you're there on a Wednesday or Thursday, look for these two. When they told us to "sit back and relax," they actually meant it. We didn't want for a thing. Water stayed full, we were consistently checked on without ever feeling hovered over, and their food recommendations were some of the best restaurant suggestions we've had in a while. And that last part is important... the suggestions weren't just upsells, but instead they were thoughtful and intentional recommendations that genuinely complemented what we were ordering. You could tell they weren't just trying to add another item to the ticket but were really were trying to make our meal better. That kind of service is becoming very rare, especially in a quick-service setting. Meanwhile, the restaurant itself had that great something's happening here energy. Busy, lively, people coming and going, the bar buzzy. This is exactly the kind of place you want to stumble into on a Thursday night in Fresno. Heirloom gets balance. It is casual enough to feel approachable, but intentional enough that you leave feeling like someone actually cared about your experience. And with Aaron and Johnny behind the bar? Sit back. Relax. Let them take it from there. (Side note, I believe it is Johnny but might be John, I know for sure if you are manager of this place you know who I am talking about!)

I use to work in a small cafe back in the day so working in food service can be trying sometimes. I noticed they have added some menu items and Friday/Saturday dining options as well. Today they had a Monday feature of Tri-Tip Sandwich with either fries or fresh fruit. A free drink was included and I chose lemonade with cucumber and fresh mint. OMG that was delicious. They also had several flavors, strawberry-Hibiscus, strawberry, raspberry, and the cucumber mint lemonade. I chose to dine in and I received my food hot. The fries were perfect. Crispy and not greasy. I chose a hot chipotle ranch & ketchup. Yah, being a vegetarian is hard. I wasn't vegetarian today. I tore up that sandwich and left no crumbs ok maybe the butt end of the roll but that's for Buddha. While waiting I saw the advertisement for Friday night dinners & Saturday Brunch with Mimosas & Micheladas. It's just two staff so go easy on them. They off a 3% discount if you pay in cash. They also accept tap pay. Cool tunes too. Until next time. . .SYOYelp

All this while we enjoyed two very cold beers - Michelob ultra for the babe and a Big Sur Double IPA on tap at 9.6 ABV for me. All this, paired with the wings, which were outstanding BTW, and it made for a great stop. Other things to know. -Order of 12 wings can be split into two flavors (choice of buffalo, bbq, or mild). I was tired of fast food on our road trip and wanted something more real. We stopped here to check it out and everything about our experience was perfect. When they came back they asked if we were ready to order. We were in a hurry, so when the Server came back to quality check our food we ordered dessert to go and asked for the check so we could get back on the road as we were eager to get home. We were so impressed with our service and honestly, the delicious diner food, that we planned to stop here again on our way home from our yearly trip this year. We had a different server this year, but everything about the experience was identical. Wonderful, tasty, timely, kind... Thank you, Willow Ranch staff, we will certainly make you part of our plan every year! I also wanted to note that I am a career server and the details matter to me. It is so amazing when someone like myself can receive the kind of service that I am proud to give when I'm working. I also witnessed the front of house staff engaging in friendly banter with the kitchen staff and I just love that. I am also close with the team on our line and I think that makes a huge difference in the overall performance of the restaurant.
