Hurricane Grill & Wings got its start in Fort Pierce, Florida back in 1995 and has since opened locations throughout multiple states. I used to love this location however recently I feel like I'm being gaslit by them over my wings, sounds crazy but I'll explain. So Every Monday we get the wing deal they have and I get the same 2 sauces each time garlic ginger and creamy lemon pepper. This is consistently my order. It was ok at first however recently they keep getting my order wrong. The first time this happened they gave me garlic ginger and cocoloco so we called and told the store and they said they could remake them so we went back and checked the container and they didnt look right so we asked if they were sure it was the CREAMY lemon pepper, they confirmed it was and even confirmed with kitchen so we went home. Once we arrived home and I opened my box only to find out they sent us with NORMAL lemon pepper. Now your probably thinking "well maybe it actually was the creamy lemon pepper" and I can assure you it was not, the creamy lemon pepper is a sauce whereas the normal lemon pepper is a dry rub, I have in the past gotten the actual creamy lemon pepper and not only does it leave sauce in the paper but they also aren't bone-dry. However we weren't going to drive back out a third time and we already felt bad about having them remake it the first time. We went a few hours ago at 9 to get our order this week and we checked it and again it looked wrong so we asked and the person at the counter went and checked with the kitchen, again they claimed it was correct so this time we asked for a side order of the creamy lemon pepper sauce because it did NOT look right and when we got home they were, in fact, dry rub and NOT creamy lemon pepper. So, in anticipation of making this review since they keep messing up my order, I took pictures of my wings tonight and I even dipped one halfway in the sauce so you could see that they were, in fact, dry rub and not creamy lemon pepper like I ordered. We didn't even call them tonight because why bother? They got it wrong 3 times now and tried to tell us when we noticed something was wrong that we were the wrong ones and that it was definitely what I ordered. In the pictures I provided you can see that the lemon pepper wings I received were dry and in the last 2 you can see I dipped it halfway in the sauce and now that side is glossy, not to mention any of the wet sauces leave extra sauce in the bottom of the paper and the dry rub ones didn't. I just want them to make my order right consistently, it's not like I'm ordering something and changing stuff about it, I'm literally ordering a sauce that's on their MENU. It shouldn't be that hard to get it right. If you asked me just weeks ago this place would have gotten a 4 star rating. read more

Service was great. The food was good not a great bourbon selection and the ambulances par for the course for hurricanes. They had great servers and bartenders. The servers were not very knowledgeable about the alcohol selections, but they made up for it by getting the information. Ok Hurricanes came thru for some good eats tonight! A group of us ran (literally) up to Hurricanes in Bartram for drinks and food, i had never been to this location before, but i was not impressed with the other ones i have been to. This was a pleasant surprise, they have a nice big patio we sat on, our server was great! And most importantly the food was good!! I started with a shot called green tea that was on special that night, whiskey, peach schnapps, sour.. very tasty! For food we got the fried Brussels which were de-lish!! With a sweet honey mustard and hot honey (i think), we all enjoyed these! I got the tenders and was very happy with them, i think they were freshly made in house, lightly breaded came with the sauces on the side! I was happy with everything! Not all locations are created equal and that really boils down to management. Some locations earn an extra star but most hover in the 3* range. This is one of those locations. So I came back to Hurricane about a year after my poor experience because we needed something quick and we were quite hungry. One our table they had a list of drink specials that seemed pretty good so I ordered a Margarita for $5. It was good and there was a large variety of options as well. So I was about to order wings for my entree when my fiance showed me the new burger they had on their menu. I was the Mac Daddy Burger (or monster burger as I called it for the rest of the night). This thing was topped with Fried Mac&Cheese Balls, LTO, Bacon and topped off with Queso. My first thought was the last time I went off the beaten path and didn't get wings I did pay dearly. But this thing just looked too good as I got it. I did make sure to order their Parm Fries as my side if my burger was no good because you can't go wrong with the Parm Fries. The Mac Daddy can out and it looked really good. I then took a bite and wow this monster as actually really good. It has given me trust in Hurricane's again. I will say though if you are counting calories this is not for you. But to be honest if you just read what's in it you should know that anyway. read more

2/14/21 - part of 2 - 9pm This was the closest restaurant to our hotel that was open at 9pm. Our waiter Chance was friendly and chatty but the food was extremely subpar! The Bavarian pretzel was over cooked, to the point of being crunchy. It was supposed to be a soft pretzel. The pub cheese dip was good though. The 20 wing platter was very disappointing. Those were the tiniest wings I've ever seen. I think it should be illegal to kill chickens that small! Once Chance dropped the food off at our table, he disappeared until he brought our bill. Had lunch here today with my buddy and local Yelper, Ronnie G. I really love their outside seating, that has a section of nice patio furnitures to sit on. Plenty enough seating for outside.  Once you walk inside, you are greeted right away. Friendly staff. The bar is at the center of the restaurant. Multiple TV's are on with Sports and Games.  I have eaten here a handful of times but here's my review. The food here is a hit and miss to me, especially when you order the fish type dishes, it just has that freezer/thawed/cooked taste at times. Their wings and burgers are pretty good.  Today I ordered the Chicken BLT Tacos for lunch. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good... just in between I guess. No wow factor. The fries were Meh, tasted like any fries you'd find elsewhere The beers specials here are not too bad. Make sure you ask your server about the beer specials. I always have gotten Beers and Wings.  And while we are at the topic of beers, Hurricanes is one of the few restaurants that serves Green Beers on St Patricks Day. Oddly enough, I have found that not alot of restaurants in Jacksonville serves Green Beer on St Patrick's Day. Headscratcher. I mean it's just green food coloring you add to beer, but so many restaurants opting not to serve Green Beer is just lost money for thier business. Again, headscratcher. Not sure why this place doesn't have higher ratings. We came in from out of town and stayed in this area and we love wings so we thought we'd try it. Asked the server for his favorite flavor and he suggested the boss sauce and man was it tasty. All 3 sauces were good but that was by far the best. The Bartram Park location is conveniently located near I95, and seems larger than other locations we have visited. They have a very nice outdoor patio patio with comfortable seating and a water feature. We were there past the usual lunch rush, so we had impeccable service and our food was fresh and served quickly. I ordered the Chicken Avocado wrap, which may be a seasonal menu item, as it was on a menu insert separate from their regular menu. It was served with fries which were cooked to perfection. The wrap was loaded with chicken which was seasoned with blackening seasoning. It contained black bean salsa, tomatoes, onions, a ranch type dressing and avocado. It had a great flavor, but I would have preferred for the chicken to be heated, as it was served chopped and cold. The decor is nice and inviting, love the outdoor seating, so fancy and the chairs are so comfortable. This a great spot to hang out with friends during happy hours. The service was good, and the food was great! We were pleasantly surprised to find that they have drink specials all the time! I got a margarita and it was a pretty good size for the price, it also did not taste like straight mix I could definitely taste the tequila but not tons of tequila. I also ordered a house salad with ranch dressing which tasted exactly like you would expect and want a house salad to taste and I got the firecracker shrimp appetizer for my entree, it was delicious. We've been here multiple times, and were generally happy with the food and service. The manager used to come around and visit with customers, but we didn't experience that this time. This visit, I noticed a musty odor in the restaurant and it seemed like the restaurant wasn't as clean as it should be. The table was sticky, although the waitress said that was due to the cleaning solution they use (I don't think so). The biggest disappointment this visit was the food. I had boneless wings with fries and Mexican street corn. The corn was cold and watery. Probably previously cooked and then insufficiently reheated. My partner had shrimp tacos which seemed fine, except for diarrhea later that day. The service was good, no complaints there. We've come here a few times. They have good drink specials and plenty of TV's however the positives end there. The staff isn't very friendly, bartender wasn't personable, and they don't know how to program the TV's enabling customers to watch multiple channels, all TV's were on 1 program. The place feels cramped, bar seats are very close together and the design is a little off, e.g the jukebox is right by the front of house instead of where it normally is in a bar/restaurant. We haven't tried the food as I saw a kitchen employee not wash his hands after using the bathroom and didn't want to take the risk. We aren't planning to return anytime soon, hopefully new management will take over during this time and make the simple improvements that would make this somewhere we'd want to come back. read more
