This place is horrible. My partner and I came from out of town excited to try this hurricane harbor out. They had about 5 water slides opened, the lazy river and wave pool. They were severely understaffed. The employees were very rude and unwilling to help out. The inner tubes were severely underinflated which was causing a lot of people to get stuck. They need to regulate their water pressure because there is not enough throughout the slides, and too much at the exit of the slide. Every slide threw me out of my tube at the end because of how much water pressure there is! The lazy river is a hazard as they have steep drops that come out of nowhere with no warning signs. That is a potential twisted ankle or worse. One of the railings walking up to ride a slide was repaired with duct tape. The waves in the wave pool were so erratic, that it was tossing grown people around in the shallow end. Not safe for kids! I do not recommend at all! read more

I looked this place up beforehand and it said $29.99 per person. When we got to the entrance, the cashier said $65 per person! I was shocked and, with my niece, nephew, mom, wife and kids, was looking at a massive expense. The guy said the advertised price was only online. Because you typically have to purchase in advance, I didn't think we had any choice and started to pay. The people behind me started buying tickets on their phone, and so I quickly pulled my credit card out of the machine. It approved anyway, so I immediately asked the cashier for a refund. He said he couldn't and we had to go over to customer service and ask there. We walked over to that window and again requested a refund. Again they refused, even after speaking with a manager, and told us to contact the corporate office. I was very unhappy at this point, but we had a few hours until our plane flight, and it was over 100 degrees out. So, we didn't have much of a choice and went in. It's a typical water park. The employees seemed mostly apathetic, but the rides were pretty fun, and my negative review has primarily to do with the bait and switch pricing and refusal to refund our purchase before we had entered the park. The rides are actually fun. The water seems to be clean. Although I smelled urine odor when climbing up some of the stairs. The main weakness is that They do not allow outside food (which is fine with me) but then sell you terrible tasting, relatively expensive unhealthy food. No real salads, their chicken wrap is full of mayonnaise and bacon. Their 10.99 slice of pizza is just terrible (see picture) with a layer of thick, burnt cheese. This place is a literal definition of okay, it is a fun place to be at and it's all you would expect from a six flags. Although it was a great to ride the rides and flow down the paradise river the kitchen staff is very nonchalant and rude. When ordering my food I gave them my season pass card which had free meals on it. The cashier said it wasn't showing any free meals, I told them about my free meal purchase and they laughed and said "well I really don't have time for this" under their breath. I get it working as a teen at a place like this is stressful but I don't think it was necessary to say that out loud, I've been going to this place many years but unfortunately this will be my last year returning. Very kid friendly, a bit dirty and smelly in some parts of the park. But overall this will be a great choice if you want a one time experience. read more

The park is older, kinda run down but we still had fun. Some of the rides aren't open and they are building something new in the back so I'm assuming there are some upgrades in the works. That's always a good sign of new things to come. I'm excited as my family and I have the six flags memberships and this is our home park. Yes - six flags is behaving like racists at corporate level. They charge the same price for memberships in Houston as they do everywhere in the US so why does the service inferior. For example the meal plans are a joke (don't buy them) , long cues, the most limited choices of any park, and poor quality. Today only one place was open for lunch and dinner - which was the same food. Who wants to wait 1 hour for a $12 burger? Or 30 mins for overpriced nachos? Even when going to the refill station they didn't even have ice? Does 6 flags have racists at corporate thinking minorities deserve ice in their drinks when it's almost 100 degrees outside or healthy food choices? More diabetic cause sugar and fried food . Is ice and chicken sandwich - good service - and quality - only for the more white parks? Six flags doesn't invest in this park in Houston. Terrible company treating Houston with such Today during Labor Day - staff even worse, food even worse. Zach is the general manager witness how poorly the park was today. So no places for the diamond club members to sit !!! Zero shade for my young child. Food lines 1-1:30 (yes even the diamond section). I spoke with the park manager and there's nothing that can be done - it's just bad bad corporate management that doesn't want to hear our complaints. My advise do no buy a pass and food here - it's not worth it. There are other choices in Houston - go to them. When corporate leaves families in the hot sun, hungry , etc they are the problem. They announce while we're in line that Bamboo Chutes, Big Kahuna, Big Spin, Paradise River (Lazy river), Runaway Rapids, Stingray Racer, Tornado, Treehouse, and the Vortex were all closed due to mechanical issues. In other words, more than half the rides in the park were closed. We had purchased tickets online for my wife and myself (my children have season passes from the g-parents). They said that they were selling tickets half price at the gate due to it. I asked the person making the announcement about getting a partial refund and he directed me to guest services. They told us and everyone else waiting in line wanting a partial refund that since we had already purchased tickets online at a discount we couldn't get any further discount. People were upset and leaving. The customer service staff were terrible, indifferent, and non-apologetic to the issue, though they offered to change the passes to another day and I think they were giving out parking passes as well. They were definitely not a customer service oriented company. We decided to stay since we wouldn't be able to return another day this season and my kids had season passes. The park seemed clean and life guard staff were friendly, but the food service staff were not friendly - they were a bunch of indifferent teenagers and not a single smile among them. It was a strange lunch dining experience. Not sure if or when we'll return. They need to work on customer service. read more

they should disclose to customers before they pay full price for tickets that 4 i REPEAT 4 of the major rides were closed. thus creating long lines which is fun for no one. also you can get a ticket online for $25 if you try to get one at the gate they will ring you for $60.I asked all the lifeguards why the rides were closed. They said a lack of lifeguards. a simple google search shows theyre paying there lifeguards 12$ an hour while making customers pay $17 for a corn dog 11$ for a beer and the $35 "unlimited food package" has a timelimit of 90 minutes and you can only get one item once every nine minutes. igeuss what im trying to say is this corporation could offer higher wages to get more lifeguards in there they just dont they wring customers and dont disclose anything .i havent been since this was splashtown and it used to be ran way much better. they only had one person working the tornado slide on a busy sunday! ridiculous do not come here save your money and go to Schlitterbahn oh and also they limit the wave pool depth to 5 ft they had texas freefall closed and overall just felt like a scam read more

Place would Look great if y'all wouldn't make everyone wait over an hour for food and then run out of it when you finally make it there. Then there's no ice, drinks at most of the "hydration stations " and let's not forget the smell of urine when you not even by the bathrooms. Not worth the yearly membership. Staff has no sense of urgency. And since Six Flags took this park over I can tell you it's definitely not like it was when wet n' wild ran it. I do believe overall this park had a lot of fun activities for thrill seekers. Their cabanas are spacious and beautiful. However I believe that this park is money hungry and give you less bang for your buck aside from other waterparks in the area. They are the only park that I have visited in the area that do not offer free parking, the only park that closes super early, most parks close at the soonest 8Pm. This park showed online that their closing time was 7Pm ,however a few hours after arriving, the park closed at 6Pm instead. This is the only park that charged a processing fee to purchase your tickets online. The processing fee was $10.79 aside from taxes per ticket. The parking fee was $20. I purchased my cabana online for $389 for a lower Grand papala, I was never infomred during the online purchase that i was required to pay an additional $21 fee for insurance purposes, however I was charged for insurance on the cabana once I arrived there. Also The guest were required to take a 10 minute break from the wave pool every 30 minutes for no specific reason. I am sure this was a money saving tactic, I never experienced this before at any other park in the area. They did anything to collect more money for what they offered you in return. Advertise that "diamond" members get a 20% on cabanas. First time we came, they didn't have the button in order to give the discount. Got the discount for the next two visits. Now they have renamed the cabanas palapas. Same area, same service, new name. Now you can't get the discount on the "Palapas." The only discounted cabanas now don't have wait service. Also you cannot get the discount if you reserve online. Diamond isn't really worth it without the discounts on cabanas. read more

Something is terribly wrong with operations! I'm not sure if it's management or they just hired anybody that wanted to work. The employees are terrible. I understand y'all in the heat standing but y'all applied to work here, so act like you want to keep your job!!! One crew is tired and ready to go and the next crew is moody and filled with attitude, terrible. The membership cups refill stations need to be revamped, the lines are too long just for a refill, the drinks are flat and they ran out of ice at all the refill stations, how is that possible? I've been coming here for 10+ years and saw it completely change for the better when it was renovated to Wet N' Wild.. now all of that progress is gone. It's dirty. The employees are rude and don't care. Only 2 food places are open. The lines are ridiculously long. I barely feel safe here any more. How did Six Flags manage to completely ruin a park?! They even took away the family bathroom area so now there is no bathroom next to the kiddie pools...I will say one thing though... Our experience was great for the first few hours we were there, other than the RUDE ASS LIFEGUARDS ! You can tell they ALL hate their job and dont give a f about anyone's family or children being safe. They were immature and rude. A clear tube ended up in the lazy river so my husband and children started using it and some little asshole teenage lifeguard bitch got an attitude with my husband telling him he needs to go put it back where it goes . When he tried to lay it down next to her she got really rude with him saying "NO YOU NEED TO GO PUT IT BACK" so he just laid it beside her and we left after that. The park was way over crowded. All the lifeguards working the slides are rude too I didn't see one of them smile the whole time. On one of the family rides a lifeguard was just sitting down watching the other lifeguard do all the work with the tubes which made the line go waayyy slower than it should have. They really need to do a better job at hiring people. Maybe stop hiring teenagers who don't a fuck and maybe start hiring more ADULTS who actually care about their job. read more

This is the worst. I have been a season pass holder for about 4 summers. The staff is always rude and no body knows what's going on. They've blocked off half of the shaded pool side for the new cabanas but yet we couldn't sit there because we didn't have the most elite pass. The water always smells and isn't cleaned very well. So I'm trying to rent a cabana for July and had a few questions. Every time I call Splashtown nobody ever answers. I dial 101 to speak to an operator and no one is ever available. I sent a message through your Facebook page and whoever responded was of absolute no help and told me just to book the cabana online when I specifically mentioned that I wanted to know if a specific area was located before I purchase the cabana. All I can say is this establishment is run horribly. Took my 12 year old for his birthday and it was a nightmare from beginning to end. Line to get into the park was down the feeder from every direction. $20.00 parking to park in a back lot far away from the park. This place was way to crowded once we got there at 11:30 there were no seats available none literally every spot in the park was taken. I had my two year old with me and had to walk around a park constantly with no where to sit and rest. Wasn't even a spot to safely change my baby we had to walk to the far ass parking lot!! People all on the grassy areas sitting on towels lined up by the gates and fences just to sit and rest. This place was waaaayyy over capacity and they were still allowing people in. Lines for everything were so long my son got to ride maybe 4 rides and we stayed all day only because it was his birthday. Food lines were ridiculous...I will NEVER return to this park. Total waste of money and definitely over capacity that cannot be safe and needs to be looked into. Oh and if u want a seat guaranteed they have small ass cabanas for $200.00 with two seats. Someone needs to look into how things are being run because this place seems to be all about the money not about people enjoying themselves at all. read more

We waited over 40 min for any assistance, and their excuse was that they didn't think all their cabanas were going to get booked up. We asked to speak to a manager she said that was the best they could do because they didn't have enough staff to serve the cabanas. Then i ask why did you take my money for a cabana that offers table service if your establishment was not prepared !!! RIDICULOUS!!! When we asked for a refund, they assured us that they would give it to us. Today we are on "BUSINESS" Day 10, and still no refund. We called the six flags representative dealing with our case & he hasn't even bothered to call us back. I'm SUPER FURIOUS! The Manager assures me that we would receive our refund in 3 to 5 business days and nothing! Once six flags took over, everything went downhill! This place used to be fun and exciting . There is nothing but rude kids working here now . Me and a friend of mine went to the cafe area , when I walked in I didn't want to cut anyone so we went through the walk around to the line for the counter . The kid at the register rolled his eyes and scoffed so I stepped over the last chain (if it seriously deserves an eye roll) . Once we got up there you can tell about 2 people in the kitchen are actually doing their job and the other 15 people are laughing and talking , everyone is touching things with their gloves and then touching food and then touching their face or hair and then touching food . Disgusting. At the register we were charged $16 for 2 cups of water and $16.99 for a SLICE of pizza !!!! A SLICE !!!!!!! Thank god we didn't decide to order a burger as originally planned but the kid at the counter said "you'll have to wait for that" we'll DUH because only 2 people in the whole place are actually working ! (We eventually got a refund on the waters because after talking to management they should have been free so good news there) we scoot over as he fills up our water cup and a girl who has been standing there says "uh you can stay right there" saying we didn't need to move to the end of the line to grab our drinks, rude but ok . Then when we go to grab all of the food I scoot down again because we are about to leave "and she says , you can move , you're in the way" like lady .... I walked away because luckily for this lady I'm trying to be one with the lord my friend mentioned she said "these white people" as we left I'm like it has nothing to do with anything we shouldn't be spending almost 40 dollars after taxes for 2 waters and a SLICE of pizza and be treated like an animal . Had the worst experience yesterday, the "supposed security" is a JOKE. Me and our family where having a small picnic out the water park a few minutes after the water park closed. We had one gentleman come inform us we have 5 minutes to finish up and head out. Not even a minute later another "security" around her 20's came out and told us " what are you doing, the water park had already closed 40 minutes already" we informed her we already spoke to someone and we had 5 minutes to pick up. Her response was " well your 5 minutes are up" she starting cussing at us telling us fuck you and flicking us off, as well as she threatened us with "trespassing and kept going in circles in the golf cart with 5 other security patrols telling us fuck you and other unnecessary things. We where heading out and they kept honking at us and flicking us off. Security needs to be retrained and rehired to actual security not kids. read more

I've been coming to this water park for the last 20 years. The best I've experienced was when it became wet n wild (before it became six flags). This year is by far the worst I've experienced. Staff is friendly but needs a lot of training. Too many rides are closed. It takes about an HOUR to get a meal at any food stand. The food menu is very poor.I really hope six flags corporation pays more attention to this water park before they keep losing customers!!! read more

Awful customer service, can't get a real person to pick up their phone to answer simple questions like where do I get my free passes that came with my season pass purchase. I waited in line for 20 minutes last time I was at the park to get an answer to my question and the lady told me they email them to you once you activate your pass. I do not have any emails about my free passes. Forget calling customer service number, there is no service, just loops you back into the menu or sends you to a website, which does not answer my question. read more

Great park! Just got my six flags season pass and went on every water ride.

Basically one of the best places to get your feet wet and see some of the best feet that texas has to offer.

The food service at this park is horrible. They're always out of any of the options or they ask you the customer to wait 45 minutes for them to get the option ready for you. We have been several times and have yet to have a good food experience. They have the food but they are out of plates or they have the plates but they are out of food and they never offered any other solution. There is no customer service even though they are the ones that are at fault. Do not buy a meal plan as they will already have your money but not offer you customer service for it. read more

Did that a week ago and no response. Finally found a number online today -- Sunday, Mother's Day, May 9 -- got a recording the park is currently closed and will be reopening May 1. Hello -- that was LAST weekend... I live out of state but will be in the area for about a month this summer with my nieces and was considering season passes. Awful experience both times we've gone this season. We've had season passes for a long time and have always loved it, but Six Flags has ruined this place. The lines to get in have been absurdly long with zero organization. Who's terrible idea was it to take season pass holders' pictures in the actual line to get in? We also bought dining passes beforehand only to find out after waiting in line for food for 45 minutes that the dining passes aren't showing up on our cards. I just can't get over how poorly run everything has been. You could give this project to middle schoolers and they would be able to come up with better systems. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would make sure you don't bring anything but your membership cards and cups because broke people will steal your bags mine and my aunts was stolen my aunts was a diaper bag for her baby and all her stuff was stolen the baby had no clothes or food/formula for her mine had 2 towels and mine and my brothers member ship the park security will not look for your missing things they will just walk around and socialize.... they DONT CARE!!!! read more
