Best spray tan I've ever had. I've been spray tanning for years but live in North Austin so going downtown for a quick tan always seemed so daunting. But I'm also a wedding planner and it's widely known in my industry that Hush Hush is by far the best and where we send couples. That being said, I decided to finally check it out for myself to be sure in the recommendations I'm making to clients. I'm absolutely blown away by the quality! I have very fair skin and don't at all look orange- someone always asks "did you just get back from a vacation, you look great" which is the ultimate tanning compliment. I'm on my 4th tan, having gone a little darker each time to ease into it and I've never had splotching or lines either. The process is quick and they are so good, they don't even use barrier cream! I've had the same tech each time. She's professional and doesn't linger or small talk knowing you're naked and likely not overly comfortable with that. If you've never sprayed tanned, you'll want to be assertive to ask any questions you have (bc she kind of just comes in and gets to it - I think as a measure of respecting your nudity) BUT honestly, you need not worry about anything. The tech will walk you through it all anyway. I inserted a little small talk myself today and she jumped right in. She is just going to follow your lead and comfort level. Front desk is friendly and helpful. The thing that delayed my first visit was the thought of PARKING. With 4 visits now, I've always pulled right into a (free) parking spot, no issues at all. I pull in and 20 minutes later, I'm pulling out. Don't let downtown or parking intimidate you from visiting Hush Hush. read more

The absolute best. Stripping down in front of a total stranger may seem a bit odd, but they make you feel totally comfortable. I'm as pale as they come, but Hush Hush leaves me looking naturally tan, without the slightest hint of orange. My tan was 90% perfect and the staff was really friendly. Deducting a star because I had a pretty noticeable line / triangle shape on one of my arms. Not sure what happened but after spending $40+, I was really careful to follow their directions. read more

Great place! This was my first time to air brush tan and it was for my wedding so I was really nervous. The ladies here were so helpful and professional. They told me exactly what to color to choose that was best for my skin, they sent an email on how to prepare your skin for it and answered all my questions on the care after the tan. On top of that with no complaints they let my mother-in-law squeeze in without an appointment during ours. I ended up looking fabulous for my wedding day with the perfect tan! I have done spray tans before, but never with someone actually spraying me. Olivia sprayed me and I felt very comfortable with her. She was very friendly, explained everything thoroughly in a super patient way and looked me straight in the eye (which made me feel tremendously comfortable considering I was near nude in front of her). I have been here once before because of the $40 for $30 deal on Yelp and they gave me a punch card so I came back. My second time here there was a lot more people in the waiting room and I had to wait forever. I made an appointment 1 week in advance and arrived 5 minutes early to get my spray tan and still had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to do it. They checked me in pretty fast but took someone who did not have an appointment before me because she knew one of the people doing airbrush tans. There are other places for the same price that have better service and more quality tans. read more

Ask for Ariana, she's my girl. Would highly recommend for a spray tan. I swam in the lake, worked out a lot, sweat and some days took 2 showers - and the tan still lasted almost a week. It fades nicely too. Staff is great. My only complaint is it smells bad in the under arms the first 2-3 days but that could be a reaction it has to my personal deodorant.. I had a great experience at Hush Hush tan today! My tan looks so perfect and natural thanks to these ladies, not orange or too dark at all. You can tell their tan solutions aren't overloaded with bronzer, either. Parking was easy (just grab a spot out front), the owner Isabelle was lovely, and Olivia, who did my tan, was fast, friendly, and took the time to explain things and get a feel for what look you want to achieve. She was even able to see me 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and didn't push any products on me afterward. Professional ladies and perfect tans. Everything about this place is perfect except for the price! It's a little steep in my opinion, and I wish you could come back within the week to get a quick touch-up on your face without being VIP status, because my face is the first thing that fades from washing it! But the staff is amazing and I have been about 8 times, with only 1 time being a little inconsistent compared to the amazing results from the other times! I am SUPER white and I have gone both medium and light. Medium for sure is more noticeable, but still looks great! Light works great for me, because it gives me that color I so desire! I was looking forward to going there because they advertise custom tanning to your skin tone and I had had previous bad experiences. However, the only customizing was "how dark or light" did I want my tan to be. It was premixed solution and took all of 5 minutes for the $40.00 "custom" tanning. When I got home, I noticed that both shins down to my ankles were white. I thought I need to wait the 8 hours and see how it progresses. I took my shower 8 hours later and HALF MY LEGS ARE WHITE! Sorry to say I will not return to Hush Hush Tan. Did not receive the services promised. read more

I came in right before it was opened and was greeted by Isabella. I did call a few days before but my appointment wasn't shown; she said it was because they were probably busy that day, nonetheless she took my info and got me in. This is my first spray tan and when she walked me into the room she explained everything to me. I was really comfortable with her and she was a very clear about what movements and how I should be standing throughout the whole process. Once I was done I was left to dry for a few and I could not be happier with how I came out! I really recommend this place; the product does not smell and I did not really feel sticky hours afterwards. I will definitely be going back. I also bought the tan extender and I can't wait to see how that will look afterwards. I have a wedding to go to on Friday the 13th and I'm wearing a yellow dress so this is perfect!!! Everyone at this place is so friendly, and I have noticed, compared to other places, that HHT has an extremely low turnover rate which is great considering I have gotten the vibe that this is not the case at many other tanning places. To me, this is a big deal, because you can pick your girl(s) and be satisfied that they will be there week after week. One of the best qualities of HHT is the solution itself. While I had a good experience a few times with the technicians at 360 Tans, I realized this solution at HHT is much better for VERY fair individuals (you can go ahead and take a wild guess as to what color skin I have). While tanning at both HHT and 360, the tanning color itself was great indoors, but when my fair skin was directly under the sun, my tan from 360 would have a very slight orange tint- not the case with HHT. The last element to your tan is all you - exfoliate before and moisturize after! And a good little tip that has worked for me is while the fan is drying you off do 50 calf-ups then turn around and do it again! It's the perfect amount of time and you are being super productive! ;) read more

I love the results of my first Hush Hush Tan! I used the Yelp deal to get a spray tan before my trip to Hawaii. I live downtown and was thrilled to know I could accomplish this without driving to the tanning salon chains that require credit card contracts, etc. I wanted a tan that didn't look like I had been on vacation but rather a more subtle color until I built my own tan gradually on vacation. Upon check in I was escorted to the private tanning room where I received a thorough consultation and instruction. The tanning process was simple and fast (I was in and out in less than 15 minutes) and was given visual demonstration on all the various poses required as I was sprayed. After spraying was finished, I stood in front of a fan for the recommended time to dry and left with a little color already apparent. The next morning, my tan is glorious - even and natural, not orange and no streaks or lines around hands or feet. I would recommend Hush Hush Tan to anyone who is seeking a safe, natural tan alternative. read more

I have been a customer of Hush Hush Tan for years and my experience last week was so horrible I had to share. I was not greeted when walking in and was rushed to a room for a spray tan. Unlike other times, I was not asked what was on my skin, I was not directed to put lotion between my fingers, palms, etc, and the women giving me my spray tan was rude and rushed through it. They used to powder down inside your elbows and behind your knees, but they didn't do that this time. Unlike most salons, they do not have makeup wipes and the face wash in the bathroom was extremely cheap. Also, I called a few days prior to book a future appointment with a return customer deal I was emailed online. After my spray tan, I was informed I could no longer use it. I don't know what happened to their customer service, but I will not return to Hush Hush Tan as there are many friendly and detail oriented salons I would rather give my money to. read more
