My insurance company, USAA, recommended Hustead's. First of all, USAA has a spotless reputation for customer service. Any partner they choose must demonstrate that they meet very high standards. That said, I started out with a high level of trust. Sean at the Oakland repair center had me come in to get an estimate for my car. He went above and beyond what was necessary and always greeted me with a great attitude and professionalism. So I had another fender bender (not my fault BTW) haha anyways brought it to the Market location this time and another great experience. The technician were fantastic. They handled everything from the moment I arrived. Called Enterprise to let them know I have arrived. Next, I gave them was my name and my keys. That's it! My car was done in about a week. When I picked it up I was pleasantly surprised they gave my car a car wash and vacuumed. Everyone was extremely nice and made my day and made my life easier! They even returned my rental for me! I came by to get a bid on my bashed in door--the older guy who was helping me was good though giving me the standard up sell on 'your crossbar is dented and you need a new door'--it wasn't and I didn't. Then a young guy looked at my door and said, "Wow your alternator is going to be affected" and smirked. The older guy could have said something, but didn't. Michael, is a car whisperer. He was able to figure out where this weird squeaking noise in my car was coming from. He is also super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond for you. They also helped me out with an additional fix that they easily could have charged me for but didn't. Sean, you are the best! The side of my care was swiped and paint had started to chip off. I'd gone to several body shops to try and get the paint chips patched and was quoted anywhere between $800 and $1300. No one seemed to understand that I just wanted the paint chips repaired so my car body wouldn't rust. Then, I went to Hustead's at the referral of my Honda dealership. Cue the angels to start singing, Sean offered to patch up my car if I provided the paint. Seriously. I went from planning to shell out almost $1000 to paying $20 for some touch up paint. These guys are AWESOME!! They even buffed out some other minor scratches I had, all in the span of about 15 minutes. Hustead's goes above and beyond and takes customer service to a whole other level. These guys are super honest! I interacted with both Dustin and Dale. My subaru's front bumper got pulled off partially through some bad parallel parking. This is a hard review to write. My car was involved in an accident and I found this place via my insurance company. This all happen during a move and I needed to find a shop to get my car to ASAP. I used Yelp and narrowed it down to two place, both had OUTSTANDING reviews. I called this place an was able to get my car in the next day. SCORE. I was called on my # I provided once for an update. Then all of a sudden they started to text my husband, which was fine. My car was done quickly and it looks very good This is where I have a problem giving a GREAT review. I moved to walnut creek/Concord area while my car was being fixed, however I still work in Oakland. I take Bart to and from work because lets face it TRAFFIC is HORRIBLE. Anyways, I pick up my car after 4:30 had to make it to pick up my daughter by 6:00 in Walnut Creek/ Concord. So I noticed the front window very blurry. So I tried to clean it with my windshield wipers and still was blurry, but I made it home, trying to clean it along the way. I told my husband to check it out since he uses the car. I called Hustead's a think either the next day or day after that to see if it was something they put on the window. First they KNEW about the problem and they claimed it CAME IN THAT WAY. No, sorry it did not!!! They were very accommodating and set up a Saturday time when i could go to THEIR glass people to get a new front window. (However they lose stars for claiming it came in that way, and also asking if I am the original owner of the car because it has NO relevance in my eyes as to why the once clear window was now like looking through drunk eyes.) We go to THEIR glass guy on Saturday to get a new front window, which was SUPER FAST!! THEIR glass guy noticed the same blur on the drivers side window. He tells us that it looks like someone tried to clean it with tire cleaner, so something not meant for glass. The following Monday I call now to get the driver side window replaced and tell them what THEIR glass person told me. NO THEY DO NOT USE THOSE TYPE OF CLEANERS. AT that point I am like "Look I don't CARE at all. All I want is my window fixed because sometime from the time I dropped it off until I picked it up something happen with my windows. " They told me they will arrange for someone in my area to fix the window. This took sometime because they were calling my husband when he works all the time and never has his cell phone, whatever it was a misunderstanding. The accident was Nov 11th The car was in the shop around Nov 18th The Car was pick up from the shop Nov 29th I believe The first window was replaced December 3rd The second Window was replaced Dec 17th I would not recommend this place just because of the hassle of the damage to the windows and getting them fixed, all this was NOT a result of the accident. Plus side: I was kept updated, Make sure you clarify with them x 2 what number to call The work was done well, it looks nice, and fast They were able to resolve the problem of the windows, although they were so Baffled as to what happen CONS: The aftermath of leaving my car there for about a week. Husteads did a great job fixing my car! It was really easy to schedule an appointment and I was able to take my car in within a few days of when I had called. Dale kept me in the loop while they assessed the car, contacted insurance about the claim, and did the work. As soon as the car was ready, Dale let me know and I was able to pick it up at a time that worked for me. My bumper was pushed inwards and there were some scrapes/dents on the side of my car.
