Of the places I called, they offered the best overall price (after the $15 discount - mention you saw it online or on Yahoo, if they do not automatically offer it) for cars ($41 total including the DMV documentation fee). When I called to inquire about the price, the man who answered was very professional and courtious. When I arrived, another car was just finishing up, so there was hardly any wait. And the who procedure from start to finish took under $15 (including typing in all the DMV info, running the smog check, and paying the money for the service rendered). Totally satisfied. If you want a professional, fast and hassel-free smog check, give them a try. For trucks and other vehicle types, the charge is higher, but it is listed on the pricing sheet or you can simply call and ask about it. 5 stars. I had a fantastic repair experience with Hyarcs. Not only were they able to diagnose the problem thoroughly, but they took the time to explain everything about the repair to me. This shows that they are professional, take pride in their work, and truly care about making the repair process as transparent as possible for the customer. You always hear the horror stories about less-than-honest mechanics who overcharge and keep their customers in the dark, but Hyarcs puts those mechanics to shame. I thought I had a dead battery and a faulty alternator (a misdiagnosis courtesy of Autozone). I know nothing about cars, so Hyarcs could have easily charged me for replacing both. But that's not their style. They had the integrity to correct me; it was only my battery that needed replacement, not the alternator. Excellent experience. I got a pre-purchase inspection for a car I'm considering buying from a local dealer. I put my trust in Hyarcs because I'm buying from out of town and moving to the area, but I want to secure my car before I arrive so I can hit the ground running. Edward was able to help me the day I called (on a Saturday). He thoroughly explained the results and also emailed me a written diagnostic. My family has used Hyarc's for many years to work on a variety of vehicles. When the catalytic converter was stolen from my Prius my dad recommended I chat with them and miraculously they had some in stock (the other shops had 3-6 month waitlist for the part!!). So I had them do the work and install a shield and they were very reasonable with pricing. They also did an oil change and checked my car since it was almost due for service anyways. I was on vacation while the repair was done and it was finished when I returned and I was able to pay online so it was very convenient too. It's 5:45pm and I have a flat tire...I frantically look for a place nearby and see that Hyarcs closes in 15min. There's no way they would take me but I called and gave it a shot. I called and the owner picks up. He tells me to come on by and he'll take a look to see if he can patch the tire up. When I get there, he flags me down cause I look like I'm lost amongst the other auto shops that look like they're all closing down already. I can see he's about to close but he told me he made an exception cause he said he imagined his daughter or his wife stranded and he just had to help. It took him 10min to get my tire patched up and he didn't even charge me! Im so grateful to have been able to stumble upon his shop and will definitely be bringing my car over here from now on to get any work done. They do great work and have great service! I've been here twice with 2 different cars over the last 1-ish years. The first time was for a catalytic converter replacement for my 15 year-old Toyota Corolla (1st one ever for that car). The team was very patient with me when I called and said I wasn't sure what the problem was. I brought my car in for an inspection and they helped me pin point why my engine light was on (catalytic converter) and replaced it when I asked them to. This was early 2020, I think. After replacing my Corolla with a Prius over the next year, I heard about the rise in catalytic converter thefts especially now in early 2021 in California. I bought a GetCatSecurity theft deterrent shield for my Prius' catalytic converter. I went back to Hyarcs because they did great work on my last car. They installed this cat shield for me for a good price. Again, they did great work and had great service. They said they don't usually get asked to install customer-bought parts, but are open to discussing it with clients who ask. Keep in mind I've called at least 8 other shops who gave me a quote over the phone ranging between $200.00ish-$300.00ish with just the make, model and engine size. Happened to have the day off and in a dire need of having my car serviced - I came across this business on Yelp and after browsing some of the reviews decided to give them a call. Called on a Thu morning at 8 AM and was kindly advised I can bring the car in that same morning. Upon arrival was greeted and invited in. The service you expect from a mechanic or body shop was exceeded and the customer service was beyond what I expected. After asking me several questions to understand the services I was looking for, a price was provided which was fairly reasonable and asked if I wanted to wait to which I was surprised; in the past I have to wait for hours but the full service was provided and completed within 45 minutes. I know where I'll be going the next time my Audis service needed sign lights up, and I'll be referring my friends and family to do the same. read more

These guys took great care of me! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! My car wouldn't start on Saturday morning. I knew it was likely an alternator issue, as the car would die even after we jumped it. I called my insurance's roadside assistance, they sent out a tow, and Hyarcs was one of the few places open that I could tow to. I am very lucky that I chose Hyarcs. Hyarcs had the issue diagnosed and called me back within a few hours. I ultimately decided that I would junk my car, but I wasn't able to meet the tow guy for a few days. Hyarcs was very understanding and allowed me to keep my car at their place for the couple of days. Obviously they didn't have to do this, as my car was taking up space that could've been used by other cars they had requiring service. Even better, at the end of it all, they waived my diagnostic fee! I'm sure they don't usually do this. I wouldn't go in there expecting them to waive the fee. I think they just felt bad for me because I had to junk my car, lol. But even so, they're super nice; they provide awesome service; and they're very responsive. Vahan Avetisyan is a nice young gentleman who performs the test. Now the test has your car talk to the machine - no more dyno for the later model cars. Here's the real story...Owning a European diesel pisses off the California Air Resources Board and they require smog checks for registration earlier than American cars - so be it, you nasty bastards. The car is three years old for Gawd's sake - you bureaucratic pricks. I was shopping around and reading the heavily Yelp-reviewed smog test places in Glendale and Eagle Rock. Many places to choose from with high reviews. I have seen this before in Glendale and I am growing tired of reading reviews of five stars for businesses who use their friends and family to chock up great numbers. I called around and was looking for the best price for my particular vehicle. After talking to a number of places in Eagle Rock and Glendale, I discover that owning a diesel is an invitation for the smog places to drop my pants and put the muffler probe in a new location. These bloodsuckers want $58-60 - "best price, my friend". WTF. I continued my search and came across Hyarcs Auto Repair reviews. I called and Vahan said it was $35 for my age car and diesel was not an extra charge (like those jackals 8 miles west). Since the car talks directly to the machine, it takes 5 minutes of inspection and a download of data from your car's computer and it is over. The $35 included the certificate. Hyarcs Smog, thank you for being honest and real. You get five stars and I hope you get all the cars that may be thinking about going to Eagle Rock or Glendale to get ripped off. BTW, Vahan's base price for regular cars is lower than the other places who talk about getting you the coupons on the internet. Fuck coupons, just check the damn smog. After failing my smog test, I shopped around for a few estimates on repairs before deciding on Hyarcs - the owner was very clear and direct, insisted on doing his own diagnostic instead of relying solely on the test results which could lead to unnecessary repairs. He was AWESOME. Not only did he fix the smog problem, he found and fixed a problem no other mechanic had been able to address, was very sensitive to cost - as I was having to get several major repairs done at once - and gave me lower price options when applicable. He was always straightforward, showed me the problem so I could understand the exact nature of the the issue, and what a really nice guy to boot. He also gave me a firm talking to, dad style, for not keeping up with maintenance on the car. He also made sure that I came by before retesting for the smog, to make sure it would pass. I was on a family vacation to la when my car broke down on the highway at night we towed the car to our hotel for the night and the next morning before they open to the auto repair shop. The owner was just pulling up when we were getting the car of the tow truck. He couldn't be more helpful he checked our car right away and had his son look up all of the recall and warranty information for our engine. Rather then charging us and acting like he is fixing the problem he explained to us there is something wrong with the engine and suggested we go to the dealership ship since the engine was still under warranty. He even went into detail about what we should say to the dealership and the stuff we should ask them regarding our car. I went here because of all the great reviews on yelp. Got an oil change & upon inspection I was told I needed to change all 4 tires. There wasn't much tread left on my tires; the back ones were almost bald & one of them had a nail in it. Also, I told them that my rear window washer reservoir wasn't working and the owner took a look at it and got it working at no charge. The cost for oil chg, inspection & tire replacement was a little high but the discounts helped. I liked that there's a place you can sit to watch them work on your car. Service was impeccable. I got to watch the entire inspection and they electronically sent the information to the DMV (I brought my registration renewal with me) and gave me a hard copy to keep for my records.
