The staff were generally friendly, professional, and helpful. However, the rooms have not been well maintained, and attempting to return to the hotel using the airport shuttle can be an exercise in futility. Unfortunately, communication between the front desk and the shuttle driver appears to be lacking. If you plan to park at the hotel during your travels, you may be better off staying at the Hyatt House or the Hyatt Place Peña Station to avoid being stranded at the airport waiting more than an hour for the shuttle. read more

Beds were clean. Peloton bike is one of the newer ones and works great. There are no foam rollers in the gym. Shower did not drain. Toilet would not flush properly. Airport shuttle was packed. 10 min away from DIA. Breakfast options looked good but the lack of info about what was in the food made it impossible to work around food sensitivities. Housekeeping opened the door at 9am since we didn't have the "come back later" sign on the door. I appreciated the availability of coffee and water for tea but neither were hot. Parking must be paid separately, and expired before standard checkout time. I would only stay here again at a deeply discounted rate. read more

The good: The room was clean and well-sized, the reception was friendly and quick to check us in, and the breakfast met our expectations. The not-so-good: Our room was next to the elevator, which doesn't sound too out of the ordinary. I was in town on business for a about a week a while back when I realized that I had forgotten my wall charger. I had a charger in my truck, so I decided to charge my phone there. While sitting in my vehicle waiting for my phone to charge, I was approached in a disrespectful manner by roving security. I spoke with hotel staff who were very apologetic and the situation was addressed immediately with care and professionalism. I'd like to thank both Donna and Jaylin for addressing my concern. We watched the shuttle arrive and leave the airport about 10:15 PM. I've called the hotel about three times asking where the shuttle is at they advise me. He's on his way. He'll be back in 45 minutes and then the last time I've called about 10:48pm they advise me it's gonna be 11 more minutes. I'm not understanding this other hotels have pulled up four and five times over and this one shuttle just ain't available And I'm just sitting here at the airport stranded and cannot get to my car that's parked in their lot!! The Hyatt Place Denver Airport is located at 16250 E 40th Ave and has a free shuttle. I really like that you can call for the shuttle once you get your bags and it is less than 30 minutes from your call that you are in the shuttle and on your way to the hotel. The rooms are everything you expect from the Hyatt Place brand - large beds, sofa sleepers, small fridges, fast wireless internet and premium channels. The staff is great and there is a nice gym on site to get a quick work out in. Next door is a 7-11 and a bunch of restaurants like Outback and Ted Montana. I will choose this hotel once again on my next venture to Denver Airport. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room had a small round table, desk, sink and bar area, couch and table, and another sink outside of the bathroom. One negative thing about the room is the bathroom. It's pretty small and annoying to get in and out while closing the door since the door opens inwards to the bathtub. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel. They served scrambled eggs, beef chipotle barbacoa,biscuits and gravy, bacon, and veggies. There was also the usual fruits, bread, and cereal. It was very good. Note, the breakfast is NOT free. You have to buy and additional package for it. The drinks at the bar seemed reasonably priced. Average was $10. They have a swimming pool, but no hot tub. Parking is easy. Booked two rooms at this hotel for two nights in August. When we arrive the line was out the door with only 1 receptionist and no one in sight to help. Turns out the hotel overbooked everyone. I told the receptionist that we payed for the booking already. She told me she that she cancelled our reservation and we would receive a refund. Gave us the Asst. General Manager's card with the confirmation number to our cancellation. Of course we never got a refund. Called and emailed the Manager Kevin Navarro several times and never got any response. Mistakes happen so the overbooking is excusable. Not returning a call or an email to make things right gives you a 1 star. read more

The room was very spacious, which was very nice. The bed was very comfortable, which is always a big plus. 2 sinks, fridge, writing desk, big couch, decent TV. The room had lots of scrapes/dents/dings and looked like it hadn't been "touched up" in a couple of years. That didn't bother me, personally, though for what they charge, I'd have expected better. Fortunately, I booked through a discount site. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Eggs were pretty watery. No bacon, but they had some sausages. I found a long, blonde hair on one of my pillows when I climbed into bed - I'm a guy who razor-shaves his head, and was sadly alone during my stay here, so there should have been zero hair in the bedding. The bathroom layout is weird. You have to practically stand in the shower or between the toilet and wall in order to open/close the bathroom door. The cordless phone didn't work, and the bedside lamp flickered a lot on the dim setting. Not things that bother me, other than these were unexpected for a place that charges as much as they do. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! The shuttle driver rambled on about pro-Trump, anti-liberal stuff the entire ride. Low class hotel ! A/C is a joke ! They have a motion sensor for the A/C, means if you just want to rest in bed, forget about A/C... I set it to 64 degrees but room temperature won't get lower than 74 degrees. (Outside temp was 77 degrees) The gym temperature was 80 degrees and the front desk didn't really care about that. Toilet seat was broken ! Stains all over the dated carpet. It's as much as you could get in any motel 6. This isn't a Hyatt level by any means. Believe me when I say, "DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL"!!! If you are okay with your furnace not working on a cold day, very strong mildew smells, wet carpet in rooms, mold on bathroom ceiling, trash cans catching the rain in the hotel lobby, then this is the place for you! I would never step foot back in this place. Mildew smells is an indication that mold is right behind it. I checked in on Thursday, May 11th and believe it or not, I had to move to 4 different rooms. Here why... 1. The first room was cold because the thermostat was broken...it was cold in Denver this past weekend. 2. The second room had a horrific mildew smell and the television would not come on (and not because it was unplugged). It was played out. 3. The third room which was room number 317, i will never forget this room because it had an even a stronger mildew smell. A large part of the carpet, particularly near the wall thermostat was wet. It was so bad, that I begin to think that people can really get sick from the condition of this hotel. 4. The fourth room was okay, it too smelled of mildew, it was right down the hall from 317. It was room, 321. It wasn't the best room either, but it was better then the other 3. But, room 321 had mold on the bathroom ceiling in the shower area. I would suggest thinking twice before making a reservation to stay in this hotel. It is very old, even the staff communicated that this hotel needs to be revamped and needs some upgrading. With that being said, I never saw the same staff twice. My stay was for 3 nights, I would have check out of this hotel early, but due to graduations, Mother's day celebrations, etc. most hotels were booked around the airport area. read more

What I much needed breath of fresh air. My fiancé and I have been traveling for dayyyysssss. We have been car camping and decided to treat ourself to a nice cozy bed! And that we did! The room and bed itself were great! Although I missed the pool, I'm totally about give and take. The employees working yesterday and today were beyond helpful and did everything in their power to make our stay the best. Fantastic experience. An unexpected 24 hour flight delay left me stranded in Denver. I nabbed the last available booking on Expedia and called to arrange a courtesy shuttle. The receptionist literally stayed on the phone with me to give me step by step directions to the pick up point from the minute I got off the plane. The shuttle was clean with a friendly driver. Front desk was very kind and helpful and helped alleviate the stress I was feeling from travel. They told me what restaurants were open nearby and let me know a bit about the area. I went up to the room and discovered my TV wasn't working, not a big deal, but I called down to let them know. They were very apologetic and - although there was no way for them to fix it immediately - they offered me a complementary whiskey from the downstairs bar. Hey, I'll take that! They crew was all very pleasant and helped make a less than ideal situation feel a little better. If I ever find myself in the same situation, I know who to call. read more

After having a bad experience at the Country Inn and Suites that I paid $160/night across the street, I had very low expectations for this Hyatt Place. At $94/night before tax, this hotel is a steal. I arrived here at 9:15 AM, waiting for my mother to arrive from the Denver airport. The staff could not check me in, which was fine, so I decided to eat some breakfast. At 9:45, there were scrambled eggs, sausage, and multiple kinds of Belgian waffles for the hot selections. There were also some mini muffins, mini bagels, cereal, and toast. The breakfast tasted delicious after doing an early morning drive in from Aspen. My mother arrived on the airport shuttle that runs about every 45 minutes and had made friends with the driver. He was very friendly. She also enjoyed the breakfast. It is so nice to have a hot breakfast that is actually delicious. After hanging out for a bit, we were given a hotel room at 11:20. We were shocked at how nice and updated the room was. The living area has a great comfy L-shaped couch and a mini kitchen area. Additionally, the counter area for the sink is nice and big, perfect for putting on make-up and doing your hair. As others have mentioned, the bathroom is tight. I'm tall but thin and it did not bother my mother or me. I guess it could be a problem for others. My mother and I went to the Botanic Gardens, and it is about 12 miles to downtown Denver. So unless you need the airport, this isn't really the hotel to stay in to see the town. It was perfect for my needs, though. There are also plenty of fast-food and chain sit-down restaurants to eat at, which is great. A plus for the big liquor store down the street. We easily found dinner and then decided to hang out at the pool. The pool was lovely, fairly big, and had super nice and warm towels. The chlorine levels were crazy high, but we still enjoyed the pool. After having a great rest on the comfy bed with comfy pillows, we went down at 6:00 AM for breakfast. Breakfast the second morning was even better. There were Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, Santa Fe bagels, and French toast. Additionally, there was fresh oatmeal and yogurt, with a fruit and toppings bar. Plus bagels, toast, and pastries. The hot sandwiches were quite good, and I loved the yogurt bar. Our stay coincided with a remodel as well as a major youth soccer tournament, so the lobby was rather hectic at times. Though our room was spacious enough, it contained no microwave, and due to the placement of bedside shelves, it was impossible to utilize electric outlets on either end of the bed. The television also had a notably limited selection of channels. All told, this Hyatt Place provided a clean, safe, and mostly comfortable stay, but due to the missing amenities, I would be hesitant to book it again. read more

Every year we come skiing in Colorado, and every year we fly in late at night, and fly out early morning. I usually book a Denver hotel on those nights, but I try and put us a little bit closer to the mountains...however this year my brother was getting in much later, and flying out much earlier, so being closer to the airport made sense. For about ~$100 a night, per room, I booked a king room for my parents, and a double room for my brother and I, and was surprised to see how large the rooms were!! Bathrooms could be a bit bigger, but everything was extremely clean and modern looking. Both rooms also had large sitting areas and pull out couches, so realistically you could pile in quite a few friends on a cheap ski trip. Check in process both times was very quick, and they offered to book a taxi for my brother at 3:30am (told you he had a early flight out!). The also offered an "open vending" system with some drinks and pre-made sandwiches, desserts and salads if you need to grab a late night meal, or something quick on the go. And...the best part - great breakfast... and although I only ever ate a muffin or two, my stepfather said it was the best hotel included breakfast he had ever had! read more

Overall excellent hotel - prob the nicest hotel you'll experience if on official travel for government. It's within the per diem! Staff was wonderful, rooms are huge, clean, with nice irons and TVs. Quick 10 min from the airport with shuttle as early as 530am! You don't need a car, beer store, 711, and a half dozen restaurants across the street. Bar is shockingly cheap and good. $9 cocktails and $5 beers, can't complain. GOOOOD breakfast! Better barabacoa than chipotle and awesome veggies plus the usual continental junk. I had a telecon get moved and they did not hesitate to give me a super late checkout so I could sit comfortable in my room until it was done. It was a much nicer desk than I have back home. Nice hotel with breakfast. Employees where very nice I just wish they told us not to park on the side of the building. Our Muffler was cut off our car over night in the parking lot. They have no cameras over looking the parking lot just the doors. It will cost us over $4000 to fix our car and ended up flying home and will ship our car when it's fixed. Homeless people Everywhere and I mean everywhere! There wasn't a day where we didn't see any. It was very depressing. Not sure why so many flock to CO, could be the drugs that are legal there? I have stayed at this hotel several times and was surprised to see that it hadn't been reviewed yet. It located next to several restaurants, other hotels and a 7-11. They offer a free shuttle to/from the airport. WiFi and breakfast are complimentary. They have a pool and a small workout room. The rooms are nice and include a 42" LCD TV with HBO, sofabed and a little refrigerator. The bed was confortable and I have not experienced any issues with noise from the rooms next to mine. However, I did have a room next to the elevator that I had issues with. Early in the morning the noise of people heading to the elevator woke me up - it was the click-clacking of the wheeled luggage over the tiles outside the elevator. This is not the first time that I have experienced this issue at a hotel. The hotel staff moved me to another room the next day. The staff has been very helpful and responsive to any inquiries. The breakfast is pretty good (somewhat fancy breakfast biscuits, oatmeal, waffles, french toast, yogurt, donuts, fruit and mini danishes). The Hyatt Place Denver Airport is only several miles from the airport. We arrived late at the airport, around 2:00 AM. Check-in was quick, which I appreciated at that time. The lobby is spacious, and is similar in design to most Hyatt Places that I have been to. When I got to the room, there was a welcome amenity of a bottle of water, and a chocolate chip cookie. The bottle of water was a welcome sight, and wished that Hyatt would provide complimentary water to all guests, like other chain hotels do. Sadly, I erased the rest of the pictures I took of the hotel. However, if you have been a Hyatt Place before the design is very similar in layout. Like most Hyatt Places there is an in room air conditioner, which is louder and doesn't quite cool the room entirely. The area directly in front of the air conditioner is freezing which is great on a hot day, but can be painfully cold in the middle of the night. The king bed was comfortable with a nightstand on each side of the bed. The bathroom area contains a single sink with plenty of counter space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a half-door which tends to splash water all over the floor. The room contains an L-shaped sofa with a pull out bed. The desk is on the smaller side, however there are multiple outlets which is a great feature. There is also a mini-fridge which can be useful during longer stays. We left early the next morning, and did not have time to partake in breakfast. I would gladly stay here again if I had a late arriving or early morning flight. read more

Amazing customer service here! There is free lemonade in the lobby and breakfast comes with the room. Rooms are clean and very spacious and right next to the hotel is a small plaza where you can get plenty of food choices without having to drive.
