We stayed at this particular Hyatt Place location on the tail end of our two week vacation back in June (17th-21st) 2025. Mind you, we were also coming from the Washington, DC area where we stayed at a Hyatt Place near Dulles International Airport that had recently undergone a complete renovation. The differences between the property in Virginia and this location were stark in contrast. Outside of and away from the very well maintained lobby, this facility was absolutely showing signs of wear and tear. To begin, we arrived a few hours later than originally anticipated due to bad weather in Denver. We were greeted by a front desk clerk who promptly checked us in and advised that breakfast would be served in a matter of hours (it was 4AM). Great, it's just above freezing and we're tired and hungry after the drive from the airport. After obtaining our keycards, it was frustrating to discover that the room temperature couldn't be adjusted no matter what we tried. Mind you, it was 34 degrees when we checked in at 4AM. The heater continued to blow nothing but cold air. The room did heat up a few degrees after a short while, but we came to discover that this was more likely related to our own body temperatures and movement about the room after the lights had been turned on. Once the sun came up, the room heated considerably on its own so we turned the heater off and didn't even bother reporting it to the front desk staff as we had already read some of the reviews on this place. With that, we went downstairs at 6AM for the complimentary breakfast. Despite having a sign indicating that scrambled eggs would be present, no eggs were ever brought out by the staff (this was remedied in the following days). The waffles were almost frozen solid and only thawed when placed in the toaster. The breakfast meats (sausage and ham) appeared undercooked and weren't very appealing. We ultimately drove down into Dillon and picked up breakfast at the McDonald's. Aside from the busted (non-functioning) heater, everything about the room itself was acceptable and in accordance with Hyatt Place standards as I've previously experienced them around the country. Beds were comfy, bathroom appropriately apportioned, and a working mini-fridge. The rooms were, however, a little smaller than what we had just experienced in Virginia which did color the experience somewhat but not enough to sour the stay entirely. I wasn't, however, a fan of the parking situation at this location. They appear to have more rooms than parking spaces available. If you're not back at the property by a certain time, you could end up having to circle the lot a few times before being able to park. After arriving late one night from visiting family in the Western slope, we were ultimately told to just park the car in one of two spaces right out in front of the hotel. There's also a resort fee (which does include parking) added for each night you stay at the property. We were fine with this as it was brought to our attention on the third party website used to make our reservation. The experience was okay, but absolutely could have been better given what we paid. I also get that many people want a Grand Hyatt experience at Motel 6 prices. That's not us at all, but given that we'd just come from the Washington, DC area where we stayed at a newly renovated Hyatt Place property, I was expecting something on par to what we had just left back east. The experiences were in no way comparable. Overall, we loved the location because it's close enough to Denver to ensure reasonable proximity to the airport, but also far enough outside of Denver so as to avoid that hipster vibe and the upcharge associated with it these days. While we'll most likely return to the area next year, we may consider reservations at a few other locations before signing back on to this specific Hyatt Place property. read more

I have never left a review before, but this was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I stay at Hyatt properties frequently. Two days in a row our room was not serviced. No one present at the front desk at check in. And the pictures on the website do not even come close to reality. The hot tub pic overlooking the mountains is actually in a storage closet next to a parking lot and was disgusting and dirty. Hyatt should be ashamed of their affiliation with this property. I was a guest at the Hyatt Place Keystone/Dillon, Colorado, from June 28 through July 3, 2026, and I cannot recall ever being so disappointed with a hotel stay. The hotel advertised a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. Instead, for the first two days, the offerings consisted only of cold, high-sugar cereals, white bread, and juice. On the third day, bagels and a cold container of oatmeal were added. Not until the fourth day were scrambled eggs and a few strips of bacon available. On the first morning, a single bowl of fruit was placed on the buffet, but one guest took the entire bowl, leaving none for anyone else. There was also a container of maple syrup available, despite there being nothing on the menu to put it on. No staff members were present to replenish items or answer questions. We visited the breakfast area at varying times each day--6:30 a.m., 8:15 a.m., and 9:00 a.m.--but the experience was the same regardless of the time. Upon check-in, I discovered that the air conditioning in my room had been turned off and the window left open on a day when air quality was extremely poor due to smoke from the Snyder Fire. It took several hours for the room to cool down and for the smoky air to clear. The room was also missing basic necessities, including an adequate supply of towels and toilet paper. By the third day, I had resorted to using facial tissues in place of toilet paper. The shower gel and lotion dispensers were empty upon arrival. The bottled water was unsealed and appeared to have been refilled, making them unusable. The drinking glasses in the room were visibly dirty, the ice machine was out of service, there was no electrical outlet at the desk, and the desk lamp was broken. There was no alternative workspace available. For the entirety of my stay, no one answered the housekeeping line or the hotel operator. At one point, after repeatedly failing to reach anyone by phone, I contacted Hyatt's corporate customer service number, only to be transferred back to the property. I ultimately had to go to the lobby and search for an employee. After finding no one at the front desk or in the adjacent office, I became genuinely concerned that something had happened to the staff and briefly considered calling 911. I eventually located an employee in a back office. She informed me that she was the only employee working in the entire 103-room hotel. Initially, I found that difficult to believe, but I soon realized it was true when she had to leave the front desk unattended in order to bring me towels. Several other guests shared similar frustrations and expressed disappointment with their stays. Most concerning, we received no housekeeping service whatsoever during our four-night stay. Wet towels were not replaced, garbage was not emptied, and the floors were never vacuumed. The hotel operated as a complete "do-it-yourself" property despite charging full hotel rates. At times, I wondered whether I would need to locate the laundry facilities and wash towels and linens myself. The lack of replenishment of soap, lotion, and shower gel also made me question whether the room had been properly serviced before my arrival, including whether the linens had been changed between guests. Perhaps the most alarming issue was the complete lack of security. All exterior entrances--including the front door, rear entrances, and parking garage access points--remained unlocked 24 hours a day. No key card was required to enter the building, even after hours. When the sole front desk employee left her post, there was no one monitoring access to the property. Anyone could have entered the building, wandered the hallways, used hotel amenities, or accessed guest areas without challenge. This situation was unsafe both for guests and for the young woman left to manage the property alone. Lastly, upon returning home, I discovered that the hotel had charged my credit card for daily parking and additional resort fees. However, I did not have a vehicle during my stay and therefore could not have incurred any parking charges. Additionally, I did not receive any of the amenities purportedly covered by the resort fee, such as housekeeping services. I have been unable to dispute these charges directly with the hotel because they have not answered their phones at any time of day--for the past five consecutive days. I understand that we were visiting during the off-season. However, if the hotel is unwilling or unable to provide even the most basic services and amenities expected of a Hyatt property, it should reconsider remaining open during that period. I was shocked by the apparent lack of management oversight and the overall condition of the operation. If this experience reflects Hyatt's standards, I will strongly consider staying with Marriott and other competitors in the future. read more

Hyatt keystone dhillon 2/5 Our experience here was wild to say the least. Let's start at the beginning- when we arrived the parking spots seemed super limited so drove around and actually find a spot under the building the entered, when we entered, we were greeted by the over enthusiastic front desk lady and she mentioned the other staff member was in training and we got checked in. We had our normal overnight stay. The big issues began when we came back to our hotel room after dinner late night and couldn't get into our room with our key. We went back downstairs and waited in a long line where they apologized and gave us a new key, we went back upstairs to the room and nope-key didn't work so went back down (at this point we were a bit annoyed), she apologized again and we explained when we tried the key the light didn't show red or green in fact it didn't work at all and thought the key batteries were dead. The new staff and front desk staff were so frantic super unprofessional ran back into the office room stating their maintenance just left to go home and will try the spare key which she couldn't find. They called a few people on the cell phones and were running around looking crazy. The lady came with us and opened the door using another key which somehow worked. She said a staff member will come upstairs and hand us a new key that works. After a few minutes the staff member came up and I tried the new key she handed us and nope didn't work. We knew it was late night and we would just check out the morning after so we didn't even bother. This whole ordeal took maybe an hour and half of us waiting for the staff members to get their stuff together. We were very annoyed at the end of it. The staffs unprofessional manner made it way worse, they were just as annoyed as we were. Our stay was in April- I hope they retrain some of their staff. Other than that fiasco the hotel was fine- typical Hyatt with free breakfast and really good views which is the only reason I didn't give it 1 star. read more

The family had the worst hotel stay ever at this hotel. The two pros were the location of the hotel and friendly employees. It offered a beautiful view of the mountains and a surprise sighting of a bear. My wife booked two nights in a suite with a king size bed, two bathrooms, and sofa bed. First night, we found out the sofa bed would not pull out because of a broken rod. Hotel's solution was to give us a roll away bed. The roll away bed was broken also. Two supporting rods of one of the weigh bearing stand were bend. So one end of the roll away bed would not stay up. We were so tired, so youngest daughter jut put the mattress on the floor and slept on it. The AC in the bedroom was making dripping noises. The oldest daughter slept on the sofa. Second night, both toilets started to back up with nasty stuffs on their own. My wife went down stairs and got a room change. The new room had it's own problem. The heater blew cool air, so we just turned it off. Free breakfast was horrible, we ended up eating breakfast at a local bakery during our stay. Hotel offered valet parking. Self parking was very limited for such a large hotel. If not back by 6 p.m. there might not be any parking space left for self parking. WiFi was strong. Water pressure was weak. The manager compensated us with some Hyatt points for the problems. I don't know if this particular hotel is corporate own or franchised. This hotel needs a complete renovation. read more

DISREPAIR is the first word that comes to my mind when describing our visit June 19 to 22. We live in Colorado and do understand the phenomenon of seasonal change-over from winter to summer in mountain communities and the challenges for hotel properties this presents. Hyatt Place Keystone clearly does not take the lull in guest visits as an opportunity to fix what winter has broken. The staff we encountered were somewhat pleasant, but seemed not empowered, uninterested or clueless as to the condition of their hotel, even the property manager who told us she had only been on the job less than 2 weeks. Just charge fill price for a very diminished experience I guess? No apologies and no accountability. Perhaps the biggest and most frustrating issue was the old, worn out and ineffective room A/C. Mechanically, it was so loud you could not even carry on a conversation much less sleep with it on. One small opening window was the only option available. Besides this, the ability of these clearly worn out old units to cool the room was dreadful. On the mountain side which receives all day sun, the room was so uncomfortably hot, you could not stay in your room. Maintenance was summoned but ultimately did nothing to change anything! During our short stay, one of the hot tubs on the 6th floor was out of service. One of two elevators was out of service. The complimentary breakfast was stone cold and clearly in violation of food safety guidelines. But if you think, okay I'll just have a bagel or toast, think again. The toasters were old and broken, The yogurt left out at room temperature was sour. Honestly the worst "complimentary breakfast" service I have encountered. The only honest advice I can offer is that this hotel does not deserve your stay or your money until some major renovations occur, both people and facilities. I've stayed here many times (~5-10) over the past 5 years or so. Stayed here 12/12-12/14/25, this time in particular it seemed like things have gone noticeably downhill. When I checked in, I overheard two troubling incidents: the first one where was a guy said that housecleaning had walked in without knocking seeing his girlfriend naked (they were only supposed to be bringing in extra towels), and the second one where someone said they were given keys to a room that was already occupied. An unsettling start to the weekend, but neither of those incidents happened to me personally. What i like about the place is the location, but if you are paying more than $250 a night this place isn't worth it. My problems this weekend included being charged $25 a night for self parking (this was never a charge in the past and the place only has parking for ~50% of the rooms - get here early!), being charged a $35 / night resort fee (even though I'm a Hyatt member) and the fact the hot tub was super dirty with no towels all weekend. In general people I spoke with seemed upset about the condition of the hotel and lack of service. Not sure I'll stay here again, which is unfortunate. read more

When I arrived, I didn't see any valet people, so I just self parked and didn't have any trouble getting a spot. I had to wait several minutes for someone to come to the front to check me in. Even if you do self checkin, you need a parking pass. I was by a very noisy dog, but they moved me with no problem. There are some walking trails right outside and you can enjoy the fire pit with the great views. The restaurant wasn't offering much for food and drinks, but there are places close by for that. read more

Can't complain when you have a roof over your head, a toilet that flushes, a shower that has hot water and a bed to sleep in. This particular Hyatt Place is great because it offers Valet Parking, which is super helpful when it's snowing outside and you need to run in quickly. The best thing about this Hyatt is the immaculate views of the Keystone mountainside. Gorgeous! If you need to rest and recharge after a day on the mountain skiing or snowboarding, they have 3 hot tubs: 1 on the 6th floor, 1 on the 5th floor and 1 on the lower level ground floor (below the 1st floor). These hot tubs are not that large so plan ahead and be ready to meet some strangers. read more

The place was fine to stay and all but I was ridiculed when I found out we couldn't cancel one of the rooms without having to pay for it. We'd called almost a week in advance knowing one of the people to be staying in the room we want cancelled had come down with covid. The hotel's reason was that the weekend was a long holiday weekend and they couldn't have turned around and sold the room. It was nonsense because when I had looked during that holiday weekend on Google, the booking for the room we couldn't get refunded for would've been six times more than what we advanced-booked it for. Overall this hotel was fine and the room seemed clean enough. But there were some problems: 1. Very limited parking (though they did offer free valet if we were unable to find parking. Not sure where they actually valeted the car though). 2. Additional resort fees added to the bill at check out. 3. The shower was not great. We stopped here on a whim and I can't tell you how GLAD I am that we found this beautiful hidden gem! Brittani helped check us in upon arrival as we didn't have prior reservations. She was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and comfortable while visiting during COVID-19. She assured us about capacity and cleaning regimen. We got our room very quickly and went right up. Our room was larger than expected and we really loved it. It was definitely clean which I appreciated so much. The hallways and common areas were all very cleanly as well. Mary helped check us out the next day and she was wonderful as well! Please let the staff know they impacted us for the better. I stayed here for a week during the summer, so that should already establish this is not a typical experience for this location. Typical experience I'm sure is during the winter or when there's snow present, where there's lots of skiing and snowboarding and snow sports to do. They do have breakfast here, which was nice. It's the same meal every day which is expected for a somewhat continental breakfast. There's bacon bits, scrambled eggs, bagels and toast, cream cheese and very sermons of jelly. Yogurt, milk, cereal, breakfast sausages, coffee and tea, and water dispenser from a water/soda sparkling water machine. It is included with your daily rate and it's very nice. They have multiple hot tubs stations throughout the hotel. One of them is on the six floor, one of them is not basement floor, and I didn't find the third one. I have a nice balcony in the back which overlooks a small pines. It's very lovely, and you can hear lots of birds and see minor wildlife swimming in the pond. The rooms are very clean, however the condition of the room is where I have issues. The first through my head was fine and clean, however some of the amenities words great. The air conditioning was completely broken and made staying in the room insufferable. As in I couldn't sleep because it was so hot. Also the shower drain is not working at all. So water is flooding in the shower and it was not great. I know this isn't standard because I asked to move to a new room and all the AC and the shower drain were working in the other room. All to say that's overall this hotel is very nice, however if you have issues with any of the amenities then don't be afraid to speak to the service desk and make sure you are comfortable. After all this isn't a cheap hotel, you deserve to be comfortable and especially happy. After all, this is a destination hotel! If I end up coming back here, I would try this hotel again. But as for my experience it was mixed. read more

I like that they updated this place from the way it used to look back when it was the Keystone Inn (or something like that). The only things I don't like is that a) the elevator moves at a snail's pace b) Self Parking is limited to 3.5 spots. You're left to valet, but it's not that normal, they just randomly park your car in front of the hotel. Other than that I really enjoyed it. The staff were all very friendly (even when some of us patrons weren't). I blame that on the grass. They're so friendly and always smiling. I didn't mean to stay at this hotel at all but sometimes when the parking lot gets full at keystone, you have to find a hotel with parking. This definitely is not that hotel! you might try the Keystone Lodge (or Inn or somthing like that) down the road. read more

We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel, every staff member was welcoming and ever so helpful. Martha was absolutely amazing and made sure we had the best time. She upgraded our room, plus got us a view and made sure we got a roll away bed. Her kindness and positive attitude alongside "knowing" us, was unmatched. The hotel is older, yet exactly what we expected. Super clean, hot tub on rooftop was great and pool access at Keystone Lodge & Spa was great - they have a good pool, sauna and lockers all available. The walking trails and beauty around the hotel was gorgeous, and walk to River Run. Great running trails and right off Snake River trails. We will come again for sure! read more

We stayed here for one night as this was somewhat of a "stopover" en route to Vail. However we did do a half day in Keystone which was great but the hotel definitely had some pros/cons that would be beneficial for Hyatt members. Our flight was delayed into Denver so we did not get to the hotel until maybe 3:45 am. The person at the counter was pretty snappy with my friend that checked in (who was a globalist member). The person told her how much the stay was going to be and she told him that she booked her stay with points and the resort fee would be waived as a globalist. The person behind the counter told her that if she was a globalist it would say so to which my friend replied that if he pulled up the right person (after checking her ID) it would say "globalist." All he could say is "oh..." we were also told by the front desk person that the breakfast would be served to 10 am on Friday so we set our alarms accordingly. Well that's where it went wrong again. We went down around 9.30 for breakfast and the breakfast was closed. As disappointed as we were, we told the manager about the breakfast being served until 10 to which she replied that it closed at 9 on weekdays and then she suggested that we go to a cafe to eat breakfast right next door. Well... we definitely ignored that and just had coffee (which they have served all day). We got a 2 queen bed room and it did the job for the night. We had a Mountain View room on the 5th floor overlooking the ski lift and runs. No complaints about the room. Nice thing about the hotel is that it is around a 5-10 minute walk to the lift so location is great. Considering everything that happened during our stay, I don't think I would mind coming back here just to stay and ski keystone. However the service and the people working at the hotel could all get some training on hotel logistics so they are telling their customers accurate information. read more

I booked this hotel with really high expectations. It was pretty affordable to book with Chase points and looked nice enough in the photos. However, upon getting here we were charged $180 in addition to what we already paid for each night for a resort fee and a damage hold. For $90 of resort fees, you would think you would get a lot out of that. However, the glorified photos of the hot tubs were ultimately so disappointing. There were only two functioning ones and they were CONSTANTLY in use since they were tiny and could only have up to 4 people comfortably. Also keep in mind we were here mid week and not a weekend. The water in the hot tubs was also green. It was nasty. Thankfully it was a great ski trip, but I would not recommend anyone stay here in Keystone. read more

The room was clean and designed well. The reception staff had excellent customer service. They were kind, friendly and helpful. But I'm giving only 2 stars for the WORST SHOWER EVER. Hotel obviously has severely limited the water pressure. Hardly any water pressure in the shower. I also would like to send a message that the hotel is not meeting its goal of saving water $ in this manner. Have to leave water running at least twice as long just to rinse off. read more

This hotel is not perfect, but I'd go four stars for the features, location, and price. However, factor the staff in and they put it well over the edge for me to give it a five star rating. My family (wife and five year old) stayed for five nights in March '19 and the staff were fantastic at any time of day from 5am to midnight. I want to especially give a shout out to Jacqueline; she was phenomenal every day we interacted with her, at check-in, getting assistance with various things, asking for information, etc. Two others to recognize were Ray at the front desk, and James at the bar, who had only been working there two days at the point we first encountered him. Location-wise, you can walk to the Mountain House base at Keystone. It isn't the shortest, but it's really not bad, so don't worry about needing the Keystone shuttle if you stay here. Some things the hotel does that really caught me by surprise are including kids lift tickets for adults staying there, providing lockers for skis in the basement free of charge, hot tubs on two upper level roofs and at ground level, free breakfast, free water each day. Most hotels just stick it to you with the resort fee and give you something useless like 'local calls' ROFL; if I'm going to be stuck with the stupid fee either way, at least this hotel provides a real value for it. Keystone alone is $15/day to rent a basket for checking goods at the lodge. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, A/C worked, bathroom had a real door (a pet peeve of mine as more and more hotels convert to 'modern' doors, barn doors, etc. that don't actually shut the bathroom off from the rest of the room). Only minor complaints are that the elevators are ungodly slow, and if you're staying on Hyatt free night vouchers, Hyatt's stupid system (not a reflection on the hotel) requires booking them as single room nights, so the staff have to waste their time checking you in and out every day. Don't worry, they can give you a room key that works across the whole stay, it's just dumb when you get your receipts for room charges, etc. So, once again, Jacqueline, Ray, James, thanks so much for helping us have a phenomenal ski vacation. read more

The dirtbags at this location have refused the refund promised by corporate and have charged full price for all services. Avoid this place. This new venue (8 months old approximately) was clean and organized. The rooms were very cozy and accessible for work as well as relaxation. There was food available most of the day including a complimentary breakfast; I was disappointed that the salads and charcuterie were pre-made. The scenery from the back end of the building were my room was, is beautiful! There's a gym, hot tub, laundry as included amenities. The deck seating is good for groups and if you exit from LL you can get directly on the trail to reach some of the outdoor activities. read more

I visited the hotel in COVID times and the whole place was pretty deserted. I was quite happy with the room. It was clean and had a lovely view on the wetlands. The staff was also very professional. I was bummed that very few of the amenities were open, but totally understand given the times. The only reason for 4/5 stars was breakfast. They offered a bag breakfast delivered to your room. Great! Unfortunately, there were only four menu items to choose from and two of the four were not available...sad. I would definitely stay here again though. read more

Horrible! The worker put food on counter back into dish which is very concerning unsanitary practices. What are they doing in the back when you can't see? Room was ok but had clogged drain and was a bit worn. The worst issue is my son fell on ice on property outside that was very thick and uneven--and got hurt. It ruined our last day of skiing, impacted his work, and still is in pain. I told the hotel and hyatt customer service and they did absolutely nothing. I asked numerous times for the GM or management to call me--and never got one call! I can't even believe this is a Hyatt! very disappointing. I was just looking for something to be done for the issue since it wasn't a small issue like a clogged drain. I don't understand how a GM cannot think it is important to reach out for a safety issue like this! read more

We are a family of 4 and enjoyed our weekend stay in early December 2021. The resort is within walking distance to the Keystone Mountain House base. We took a shuttle to the River Run base to drop the kids off at ski school. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I wish I had booked directly through Hyatt and not Epic/Vail reservations. Vail reservations have the hard sell and did bot have accurate property information. There was a free breakfast with all reservations: breakfast burritos, sandwiches, bagels, cereal etc. Vail told me there was no free breakfast. There is a microwave in the lobby. I was pretty disappointed with my stay. We paid nearly $300 a night and it WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!! I will start with the negatives: 1. Parking was ATROCIOUS! There are only about 20-30 parking spots for the entire hotel. If you don't get there at the crack of dawn, you will have to valet. It is nice that the valet is free, but it is very inconvenient. I usually like to leave my skis in the car overnight so I don't have to carry them up and down to the room, but that was not an option because we had to valet. The woman at the front desk was helpful (NOT!) to let me know that "it's not good for the skis to leave them in the car overnight." Once we got a parking spot, we didn't want to move the car again for fear of losing our spot, which seriously limited our dining options. 2. The breakfast was ridiculous! I really like that you can order your breakfast ahead of time and schedule a specific pick up time the next morning, however the options were lacking. They didn't have any gluten free options and the size of the breakfast was VERY SMALL. We were there for a ski trip and breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Usually when breakfast is included, you can get a lot of different stuff including eggs, breakfast meats, cereal, waffles, pastries, fruits, yogurt, hot drinks juices, etc. This breakfast, you could only get 1 small option and a drink. The option was usually like; bagel OR cereal OR breakfast burrito. You could not have more than one option. Also a few mornings they didn't have any fruits or juices. One morning I got a yogurt and granola and I swear it was the smallest yogurt I've ever seen! definitely not enough food to fill up for a day of skiing. 3. The room was very small and there wasn't a convenient place to keep our skis (that we had to carry up and down from the lobby)! There was no dresser to put our clothes away, just 2 small drawers in the closet. The safe in the room was disabled for covid? This doesn't make sense. If you can sanitize everything else in the room, why not the safe? Due to covid, we had to eat our meals in the room, but there was no where to sit and eat! there was a desk with 1 chair so 1 person could eat at a time, but we ended up just eating in bed which isn't ideal. There also wasn't a microwave in the room. The front desk had 1 microwave to loan out to the whole hotel and you could reserve it for 30 minutes. This is fine but we had to go down to the lobby to retrieve it and then return it when we were done. For the price of the room, I'd appreciate them bringing it to my door. 4. The hotel doesn't handle any cash. We wanted some change so we could leave a tip for the housekeeping staff, but the front desk was unable to help us at all. Thanks for NOTHING! I know it's hard to believe, but there were a few positives: 1. Devin was great, super helpful and sweet. He has a way with people and made us feel better after some of the female staff people were unpleasant. 2. The hot tubs were great! There were 3 hot tubs, 1 on the ground floor, 1 on 5th floor, and 1 on 6th floor. You could reserve the hot tubs for 30 minute sessions and have it to yourself! This is an AMAZING policy and they should absolutely keep doing it post pandemic. The hot tub on the 5th floor was so relaxing and had the best view! We booked a hot tub every night we stayed there. 3. The location is pretty good. They told us at the front desk that the walk to the peru lift at keystone was only 200 yards. I think the is a gross underestimate; it's got to be at least 1/4 mile. Either way, pretty easy walk (except for my mom in all her ski gear, she struggled a bit). Howdy all. I'll make this one fast. The front desk isn't obvious, the guys at the front desk weren't worth a darn. They didn't offer to help with where to park, how to find the room, no mention of the breakfast - for Hyatt members. My wife had to fish for information on everything. The big joke was their breakfast bar. We got there at 8 am. Both regular coffee pots were empty, when they were brought out, the first cups poured had a bunch of grounds in them. I thought the country potatoes had some nice variety, but they looked like they had been warmed up from the day before. I'm not sure when the last time the counter and table tops had been cleaned... There were crumbs and spills everywhere. I have a feeling they were under staffed. The To-Go coffee cups got put out by the girl that was working the desk. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The mattress was on the soft side. Bottom line, it's ok to stay at if you don't mind dropping $160 for a night (conference rate) and going out for food. Cheers y'all read more

The breakfast was delicious and vegan friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the Peru Ski Lift which we utilized. There was an outdoor hot tub on our floor that had a beautiful view of keystone mountain. The stay would have been perfect if the gentleman that checked us in would not have given us the wrong room numbers twice. They let us stay in the room that we settled in the first time but he assigned us wrong room keys twice. Also I was told when I checked in that I could give my AAA membership before I checked out to get the 10% discount. When I checked out they told me it was not possible to get the discount because I should have given my AAA membership at check in. I have always given my membership before checkout and I have gotten the discount (I travel A LOT). So I'm confused as to why this particular hotel cannot do honor the AAA membership. Anyways, as long as your room number and bill are prepared correctly, preferably the first time, you will love your stay. read more

I'm sure all the employees at the front desk are nice. I'm sure I just happen to have had to deal with two who were perhaps having a bad day on two separate days. You could have fooled me, one of them was even a manager. They were completely unprofessional, condescending and unhelpful. If you're used to the Marriott family like my husband and I, you might be caught off guard by the expensive taxes and resort fees that you get hit with after being told the charges are for incidentals and will fall off upon checkout; only to find out from the front desk manager a week later that those charges are sticking because "hey you idiot, you should have known those were taxes and resort fees we charged you 2 weeks before arriving and before charging you for the $185/night room fee." So if you can avoid having to ask any questions then you'll probably have a good time because the location cannot be beat. In terms of Covid preventative measures, which is extremely important to note, I liked that there was no housekeeping and given the pandemic that was a smart decision. I also liked the schedule-yourself-pick-up-breakfast bags. Would've been better if you could do it on the app instead of having to do it in the lobby but hey, first world problems. The breakfast is great if you were a girl or a child but don't expect it to fill up a grown man. You fill out your breakfast choice the day prior and one day the choices were option A.) granola B.)oatmeal (wet/warm granola) or C.)cereal (wet/cold granola). The room we stayed in was amazing though as it was 600sq ft, the windows opened up making it a nice touch to be able to smell the fresh air. I especially loved the vertical, solid panel, double-layered blackout curtains and sheers on all the windows. I think attention to detail is critical and the boot tray by the door was an additional thoughtful choice. Lastly, the large closet spaces made it extremely helpful to throw snowboarding and ski gear in them and out of the way. Jackie/ Jacqueline was an amazing hostess/ concierge. She made us feel so welcomed and gave us a lot of helpful information about navigating the slopes at keystone. She worked with us to accommodate an early check in and made sure we were all set up with a hot tub reservation and breakfast for the next morning. Thank you soooo much Jackie! The hotel itself is great. Warm cozy and CLEAN. Dog friendly but I didn't hear any barking or inconveniences as a guest without pets. Felt very safe w the covid precautions and nothing but good things to say. Especially with such great prices and TOTALLY walking distance to the lifts/ ticket booth and rental shop. This is my second time staying at this hotel for SnoFest and it's a nice little hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Doug, Marty, and Jake are great folks. They are the ones I dealt with, so I'll give them plugs. Parking is an issue because for the amount of people staying here, they don't have enough parking spots. I recently stayed here and the service was fantastic! The hotel wasn't that large itself but the view from my room was stunning. The thermostat in my room definitely worked and I was able to control the temperature to my liking. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The courtesy breakfast buffet was alright but the food on the 24/7 menu was pretty good. I really enjoyed my time here. read more

Well they are little overboard on covid right now here, but expect just them being cautious. People working here real nice and rooms nice!!! Carpets smelling like ski season sour from being damp and feet but that's almost over so sure they shampoo them! Coffee why can't you at least have coffee in lobby? And The Coffee packs in the room, HORRIBLE! Now know why only give out 2. Parking Horrible as well Be sure to drive your yuppie cross over nothing large like suv, truck or van! Whatever you drive if your not one of the lucky 20 to get a spot your Valet!! But i assume the take on all the risk and liable to any potential damages since don't offer adequate amount of spots, so that good!! Bar not open Restaurant not open Lots of amenities not open But they still charge same rates??? There's a reason I'm Hilton regular 80 plus nights a year and Hyatt just when i need an option! Let's start with the good: This hotel is very modern and nice and upgraded. It's decently close to plenty of lifts, if you don't mind a 5-10 or so minute hike. The breakfast is pretty good and they usually switch out certain items each day. The staff is helpful and accommodating and it's location is close to plenty of the main parts of Keystone. Then there's the bad: There's very little parking for those who has driven from far away, and is usually full up by 6pm. If you get a room that doesn't face the mountain, because it's close to the Main Street, the car noise is very noticeable/loud. There aren't any stairs we could locate to take up to our 2nd level room. The only stairs we found were no re-entry stairs that lead outside. So you have to wait for a very long time in some cases on the two elevators they do have. Even then, the elevators are extremely slow. Overall it's a very nice hotel, there's just some stuff that bugged me personally during our stay for paying over $100/night. read more

Reviews are subjective; and, perception is based on expectation. And, given the daily rate, my expectation was high. Plus, purely as a 'Hyatt' hotel, I booked the Hyatt Place Keystone with a certain expectation. If you are expecting a Hyatt experience by staying here, you will be sadly disappointed. From the outside, parking is very limited, and a valet was nowhere to be seen. Bellhop service (or any assistance with our luggage) was absent. On the inside, I've seen Best Westerns with more appeal. The lobby is minimal, as is the lounge (which is sparse and unwelcoming). The rooms definitely show their age. They were clean, but lampshades are damaged; window blinds are stained, etc. Even given all of that, I can forgive a lot if the service is great. It wasn't. Instead of feeling like a welcome guest, I often felt like a annoyance to the front desk staff. Unlike other Hyatt experiences I've had, the staff here made no attempt to know my name or recall my room. There was no attempt to go above-and-beyond. Lastly, the suggestion of having a shuttle to the ski lifts is totally untrue (unless the marketers are counting the village bus service). On a positive note: the outdoor hot tubs on the 5th and 6th floors with views of the mountain were great. read more
