A conference that I attended to from Sunday through Tuesday was hosted at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I booked a stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress from Sunday through Wednesday. I arrived at the hotel around 4:00 P.M, the perfect time for check-in! As soon as the UBER driver drove into the resort, I was in awe at how beautiful it was. The entry way was absolutely stunning, and you'll see all of the grounds with waterfalls as you drive towards the entrance. As soon as you enter the lobby, you'll see a open bar to the left, with the conference areas, further on. Open seating in the middle of the resort, and if you continue further, you'll see their MARKET place and the Lakeside restaurant, open for breakfast to dinner. Check-in and elevators are to the right. You can also access the pool from there as well. Check-in was a breeze, and the team member provided a map of the resort. There are a lot of amenities on-site at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Free Internet Access On-site Restaurants Room Service Pool Fitness Center Spa Golf Laundry This is a really nice resort. There is a large pool that interconnects with cave like structures that you can swim-through. There is also a large slide as well! There are plenty of seats available to lay at next to the swimming pools. If you walk the resort you'll notice a lot of activities. Pickleball Bicycles Jogging/Nature Trails Putt Putt Golf Rock Climbing The room I had was really nice. The bed was pretty comfortable. Inside the room includes a minifridge, coffee maker, safe, iron board for ironing, and lounge. I didn't stay too long inside the room since I was at the conference most of the time at the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Regency does offer complimentary transportation services to Universal Studios and Disney Worlds TTC (Transport & Ticket center). You do need to book a reservation and timeslot though. Since there are pre-set times, it may not necessarily align with your schedule though. Overall, I've been to Orlando plenty of times and even stayed at a few Disney World properties. This is one of my favorite resorts I've stayed at so far in Orlando Florida. I would stay here again if I was booking a family trip to Sea World, Disney World, or Universal Studios!

Bet you haven't walked into a hotel that has a permanent macaw living there! Maybe you have if it's at a Hyatt in Key West or Hawaii....BUT the Hyatt grand cypress in Orlando has Merlot! & he's beautiful. Definitely made the trip here fun. Everyone working was helpful. Pool was clean & the lobby bar stays open after hours. A bonus!

While the Grand Cypress feels like an old hotel management has done a great job maintaining it. The staff at this hotel were all very friendly which was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable. I liked the huge pool with the waterfalls and poolside service. Nothing like a pool burger.

4.5/5 overall! We stayed here to have easy driving access over to Epcot for a quick weekend away. The service, room, experience, and overall property was well beyond what we had expected! We had some spare time before we went home and took advantage of the AMAZING pools and spa areas. Will be back, just need to find the excuse to, ha! :)

My daughter is on a ventilator and Zachary and Hannah helped me so much still accommodate our needs

The hotel itself is the most amazing stay Zachary Baker and Hana or incredibly sweet and beautiful individuals they help me out so much with my daughter.. he's on a ventilator so they were amazing they assisted us with the electrical outlets for her machine. But one of the ladies that I made my reservation with her name was Holly she was so rude not very nice at all from the moment she answered that line she had a nasty attitude. But the hotel is beautiful you guys have to stay

pricey, not going to lie but the property is beautiful, clean and has no maintenance happening so locale is great for consistent pic staging staff has been nice the only negative I have is over the Four Flamingos restaurant....it's trying too hard and food is way too rich and complicated (and expensive) as always, happy to be staying with hyatt

Very nice. The resort and grounds are clean and well kept, and the conference are is large with nice outdoor areas so you can relax between sessions. The food in the conference area is very good and they had several choices for breakfast and lunch, all the food was fresh and well prepared. The resort area is great, spacious rooms with balcony door that open so you can enjoy the beautiful weather. They have a market with a Starbucks in the lobby but the choices are a little slim. They also have another restaurant on the resort but I never made it there. They have a large work out area that has good equipment but is a bit tricky to find. There were also several broken machines so I wasn't able to do all the workouts I wanted. The pool area is large with plenty of seating, there are areas you can pay to reserve as well. The food from the pool bar was really good, I had a fresh ahi bowl and it was amazing, not at all what you'd expect from a pool bar. The pool bar doesn't take cash, either credit card or charge to your room. When I was there they have a wedding and reception the night before I left. My room was located one floor up and across from the wedding venue and it was super loud. The music was pounding until midnight and since I had to get up at 0400 for an early flight, I got didn't get much sleep. Other than the couple things I mentioned, it's a nice place and I would go there again.

Me and my family stayed at the hotel where this restaurant is. Royal Hyatt Grand Express. I was looking for the perfect Thanksgiving dinner this was IT ! Everything was perfect the turkey was so nicely done. The sweet potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The mashed potatoes were heavenly. Even the dessert was outstanding. The carrot cake was the best best that I have ever had. Service was beyond good also. The buffet was 70 dollars per person. Well worth it tho!

My partner works for the City of Hialeah and we stayed at this hotel for FFEA which is a yearly event that they do for hospitality. When we first entered the hotel lobby it was very clean and welcoming! Merlot the parrot (Ambassador of the hotel) was extremely adorable and sweet! After we checked in ( which that went extremely smooth) we went into our room, it was smelled super clean- bed linens and pillows were extremely soft and the AC was AMAZING. After taking a few strolls around the hotel to check it out- we went to visit the downstairs bar which had late night food till about 12AM. The food wasn't as great as we expected, but overall the waitress Tessa was magnificent she was very attentive and instantly called the manager to apologize on the kitchens behalf. We didn't make it a big deal because we were starving and we aren't the kind of people to complain but the manager decided to remove the food items from our bill. We visited the pool on one of the days and ordered the " Caribbean colada" and a few appetizers. The chips and dip, chicken tenders and tostones. The pool food was actually REALLY good and so were the cocktails. I wasn't able to grab a picture of the food because we were so hungry haha! Definitely would recommend others to stay here when visiting Orlando!

Stayed at the Hyatt for a romantic getaway from Friday- Sunday. Check in is at 4pm, check out is at 11am. The check in process was easy, the only downside is there are only a few elevators so most of the time, we were waiting in a line to get on. Our rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was just a text away if you needed any extra towels or necessities. Room service comes from the Lakehouse restaurant which was our favorite place to dine in! Their ribeye and grand cypress salad was amazing! Sushi was fresh (ordered spicy tuna and rainbow roll). The pool at the resort is huge! The poolside side service was also a plus! Our server was very attentive! Miami vice=must order! Check out was also a seem-less process. Will definitely be coming here again.

This was a nice stop just outside of our hotel lobby for an upscale(ish) dinner. We had a couple different things here. Calamari to start, sushi (for me) and steak (for the Mrs.) for dinner. Everything was pretty excellent. If you are here at the resort for a couple of days, this is definitely worth the stop in.

Just went here for dinner with my boo. Was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Sometimes these hotel restaurants can be hit or miss, but this one definitely delivered. The food was amazing! The staff was also great..!! I didn't catch my waiters name but he was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and the IPA's. :) We were greeted very warmly by the staff. The manager checked in on us a few times to make sure we were doing good. We really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to coming back. Their social distancing measures are on point. We felt very safe. Everything seemed very clean! Thank you for an awesome experience!

It was bagged nicely and well organized. The omelette was a generous sized portion with plenty of tender chicken, peppers, and cheese. My mom enjoyed the banana pecan waffles, and I took a couple bites as well. It was sinfully sweet and enjoyable, especially the bananas. We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

It is a family owned restaurant founded by New York natives who noticed a gap in Central Florida for high quality, authentic New York style diner food. The original location opened on Universal Boulevard in the Lake Cay area, near Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. The restaurant quickly became popular with both locals and vacationers looking for an alternative to the standard hotel breakfast buffet. Following the success of the Universal Boulevard location, the owners expanded to additional Central Florida locations, including Lake Buena Vista and Dr. Phillips. The Diner has gained attention for its creative twists on classic comfort food. One of its signature dishes is the Bennyffle a combination of Eggs Benedict served over a waffle. The menu also features specialty cereal pancakes, including Fruity Pebbles and Oreo Crunch, along with classics such as chicken and waffles. In July 2026, the Universal Boulevard location even became the center of a viral national news story after a family of seven including children reportedly walked out on a $298.47 breakfast bill. The story highlighted how hard family businesses work and how an incident like this can affect them. I recently met up with a group of friends at The Diner for brunch. The Diner can get crowded, and they do not take reservations. I am grateful that one of my friends arrived very early to wait for a table for our group. The diner offers a selection of coffee drinks as well as alcoholic beverages, making it a festive spot for brunch. Since I had a long day ahead, I stuck with coffee and ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The combination was delicious. The crispy, savory fried chicken was the perfect partner to the soft, buttery waffles, while the warm, sweet maple syrup contrasted to the salty chicken. It was a very large portion and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating when we needed several separate checks. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. It is like the farmer but instead of apple butter it has gravy and it also has an egg. They also have some pretty good waffles, which is what I get for my kid when I take him here. Their tea and coffee selection is robust. The only downside is that as they have gotten bigger and they have lost some of their personal touches. They used to ask me funny questions and would use that to help find you to give you your order. They might ask who your favorite superhero was and call you that way. Now they just give you a number like everywhere else. The other downside is the price is on the high side and seems to have increased more as of late. Food is really good though.

Even with a full house , she remained patient, walked us through our options, and never once made us feel rushed. Honestly, it felt less like being served and more like visiting with friends and family . Breakfast was delicious from start to finish, and even the coffee and cornbread deserve their own little moment of appreciation. There was a bit of a wait before we were seated , so I'd recommend planning accordingly during peak hours, which is admittedly most of their operating day . Despite the crowd, the warmth and hospitality never felt compromised. Even checkout was a pleasant experience , which says a lot about the consistency of the team. Great food, memorable service, and an experience we'd gladly repeat .

I got my Saturday brunch here before heading out of Orlando…read more Portion was huge (Avocado Toast came in two Texas Toasts size.) Salt and lime on top was good touch. I had Butterfly Peas lemonade (EXTREMELY SWEET). My friend had Steak bowl green juice. The waitress kept coming by every 10 minutes. Which disrupts our morning breakfast conversation. I understand that there were many customers in waiting area. But rushing and disrupting every ten minutes was not ok. Bright lighting interior was pleasing to me. But to be honest; the rushing part was the most annoying. We even had coffee too. Try to tolerate the rush and intake caffeine for sanity. Price point was good and even very affordable for the portion. Avocado toast with two too well done eggs (I didn't even touch). We were told eggs will be medium cook with little running. It was hard and fully cooked. Will I go back? If waitress will give us some space and privacy. It's morning and no one is ready for being annoyed. That's it.
