Located right by the water in the heart of downtown Savannah, which is why we chose this location. We drove from Atlanta and if we didn't have a best room in the house overlooking the water way, shops, pubs, hotels along the old cobblestones! We were in town for St. Patrick's festivities and could see the revelry below and tankers cruising by on the waterway. Easy to walkabout for food and festivities. Valet parking only; but if you can score street parking, you'll save a ton! That's what we did. Quick check in and check out. USB ports in the room, lobby and bar, so convenient. Decent breakfast options and warm service. If ever you want to take in the city for whatever the occasion, Hyatt Regency Savannah, y'all come check it! =D

It feels like this was once a really amazing hotel. Now, it's still nice but could use some upgrades. The staff were amazing and kind and always available. My mattress was definitely very old. My back and neck hurt every morning. I switched to my daughter's bed in her room and it was far more comfortable. The breakfast buffet, for me, was so over priced. I mean with so many local spots - why would anyone pay those exaggerated prices? The garden deck was a mess. Not a place I was comfortable relaxing. The pool is very underwhelming. With a place that can experience rain on a fine, they need a better pool.

Stayed here for a few days over the holidays, this hotel used to be the only place to stay while in town. There are a lot of newer hotels on the waterfront but none have the stop on the water this one does. A premium location, in the middle of it all on the riverfront and amazing views of the river, town and the area. Valet service, with porters makes checking in and out much less stressful. The front desk staff are all professional and kind. Check in was simple and straightforward. Coffee service every morning by the front desk. The room, a king room on the fourth floor, the terrace floor. If you are staying in this hotel you want the fourth floor. Our room overlooked the park, and we were just a few doors down thw corner from the terrace entry. The room was very comfortable and the bed was too. We enjoyed breakfast two mornings at the hotel. Its convenient, with a nice selection. There is a buffet, as well as from the menu, we went with the menu both days. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the location and friendly staff 01078

Great stay at the Hyatt Regency Savannah! The Garden Level rooms had great views of the river and had a great outdoors area for relaxation. The location was ideal for me as it's on the river which had great running paths and is close to many restaurants and bars. The work conference I attended was being held in the hotel which was really well set up. The food and hospitality were excellent.

The good about this hotel and we have stayed here several times is when you get a room facing the river it's great to watch the freighters and various ships go by in fact that's the only reason we choose this hotel. Our first day we had a leak in the bathroom from the ceiling and even though it was reported no one ever came in did anything about it so we always had to leave a towel on the floor otherwise it would be a puddle This time, of course we are there during the cooler months and had to use the heat. Woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning and my head was spinning had to open the patio door to get some fresh air and not sure if it was related to the heat or what it was , but I've never woke up this way before except the one night we had to turn the heat on. For a Hyatt hotel, the rooms definitely need to be modernized for the price they charge by the time you pay for your room pay for valet parking. Pay for tips for valet parking and everything else the cost add up quickly. This is a dog friendly hotel, and I saw no issues in regards to people and dogs so that was a plus Well, we stay here again most likely we will because of the views but up to three times we've been here. I would say this time has probably been the worst experience of all of them.

I stayed here for two nights during my trip to Savannah. Check in was super simple and the front desk assistant was super nice. We were offered complementary cocktails at check in. I stayed in a room that had a queen size bed with an area for sitting under a desk. Each room is equipped with complimentary lotion, shampoo and conditioner. All rooms are also equipped with a small mini fridge and an iron. A microwave can be located in the lobby. There's a restaurant downstairs that I had the privilege to eat at and it was super delicious. They stay open until 11 PM. There's also a bar. This hotel is located across the street from pretty good restaurants and walking distance from the strip. The lobby has great views of river.

    * Price: $200-300. The valet is $48 per day. For the location, it is reasonable for the tourisy area. 3+ star. * Accommodation: spacious room, indoor pool, gym, toiletries, fridge, a coffee maker with supply, a safe, an ironer, 2 free water bottles, a hair dryer. There are no slippers or bath robe. 3-4 star. * Location: very convenient right on the river walk, historic district. Closed to all restaurants and shops. 5 star. * Motif: modern lobby, nice and clean rooms as expected for Hyatt brand. 4 star. * Service: nice and friendly. We left our Bluetooth headset and charger after checking out. The housekeeping staff mailed to us. 5 star. Stayed here overnight while visiting Savannah. We booked the river view suite via the World of Hyatt. We were able to get early check-in and late check-out, waived resort fee. We only have to pay the valet fee. There is public parking across the street for $25 per day. It is a very convenient location. The river walk is right outside of the hotel, with a nice sunset view of the bridge, many restaurants, and bars. The lobby of the Marriott with dinosaur and mineral exhibition is worth checking out. We did not eat at the Hyatt 's restaurants. We had dinner at the Olde Pink house and brunch at Vic's on the river (see my reviews for these). The suite has a big king bed with comfy bedding and a pullout sofa bed, 2 big flat screen TVs with netflix. Overall, it is a nice hotel to stay in the area. I was surprised that they had only 3 star.

It's a nice hotel friendly service clean room. I do wish however they would update their towels they are a little dingy and some of them had holes

Good thing about this hotel is it is next to the river. Don't need to cross the street to get to the riverside. However, the room I was assigned to does not go below 70°F. A/C been on the whole time and I think the coldest I could remember was 72 around 4am. It stays 75 throughout the day. Also, NO MICROWAVE in the rooms. Not sure why but it just doesn't exist in the rooms. Valet parking is not worth it. I would say do a self park instead. Parking is just across the street anyway.

I did not stay here; reviewing as an event space. The main atrium is quite pretty, and on the bottom level a lounge overlooks the river. There are some great views to be had of passing boats. Some conference rooms offer similar views. The event room was spacious and there weren't a ton of technical issues for the complex meeting I was there for. I also noted plenty of clean bathroom stalls that were nice and private for changing in and out of business wear. I lost a hat and it was recovered and found for me (and it's a good hat). So a pretty solid venue from my perspective. Looked like a nice place to stay if you can pay for it.

The Hyatt Regency Savannah is a very nice hotel in a convenient downtown riverfront location. I was able to check-in early, and although the room had two smaller beds instead of the king sized bed I wanted, that was the cost I was willing to pay to check in early. The room was modern and clean with a large screen TV that had Netflix. There was no microwave in the room, but there was one in the ice machine room. Staff was friendly and helpful, and I was able to get a good meal at the hotel bar while watching the Eagles game. There is no free breakfast or club lounge at this Hyatt, and no Chromecast. But I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in savannah.

The hotel is nice, especially the expansive lobby. But the fees add up quickly. When we arrived we asked how much valet was and response was "Expensive". Asked again, and price was $48 per night. We ended up using the valet since we had a baby in tow. When we checked in, we found there was a resort amenity fee that tacked on to the cost. We had no other option so got up to our room. They put us next to the ice machine and community microwave. Not an issue initially but with a baby we quickly figured out the sound proofing was not optimal. Someone made popcorn every night we stayed at the hotel at 9 pm right as we were going to bed and the smell creeped into our room due to a half inch gap from the floor to the door. The room was decent. I didn't feel comfortable walking around barefoot so would recommend packing flip flops. Then, there was no barrier from the shower to bathroom floor so water easily splashes on the floor. The location of this hotel was great and the views are amazing. On the plus side our doggie was greeted with a goodie bag upon arrival so this review is mixed, not all bad but definitely some room for improvement. I figured out on day 2 of stay that you can park literally a block away for $20 a night. It's self park in a garage with about a thousand spaces near Ellis Square. Try it out if you are comfortable saving money and not worried about your car getting vandalized or broken into.

The staff was very accommodating throughout our stay. Being that I lived in Savannah 20 years ago, I have bragged about how incredible Savannah's hospitality is and the staff here definitely showed up. Huge thank you to Joey, Jackie, Cindi, and Darnell or as I refer to them as the dream team for making our stay so incredible. I hope they promote you all into management. Our room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Perfect if you have jet lag. I love that the toiletries have peppermint so you repeal bugs, which is a must in the south. Great alternative if you forget the bug spray. There's a coffee bar, restaurant, and a speakeasy bar that was Alice and wonderland themed. In the afternoon you are offered champagne, which is such a nice touch. They have bikes available to sightsee rather than walking. This hotel is close to everything in case you want to walk and explore shops, dining, etc. Overall, this hotel is beautifully decorated and charming. Something Savannah is known for. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially because it's pet friendly!

My AirPods were stolen by the staff here on the 17th. While I finally recovered them on the 29th, it was entirely due to my own efforts, not the hotel's. I had to file a police report and track the devices on the Find My app, watching them travel to a private residence before making their way back to the hotel days later. Getting answers from management was incredibly difficult. I was repeatedly promised callbacks--first at 3:00 PM, then at 4:00 PM--only to be completely ghosted for an entire day. Management only took the situation seriously after I posted my initial negative review. Once the review was live, the interim manager called immediately, offering 20k Hilton points as a goodwill gesture and claiming it would cover a night at "most places." Wanting to cooperate and focus on getting my property back, I agreed to take the review down. The poor communication continued with the shipping process. Management promised to overnight my AirPods the next morning, but the Find My tracking showed the AirPods still at the hotel until I followed up yet again to ask why it hadn't been dropped off at FedEx. It has now been a week since the points were promised, and they still have not arrived. When I followed up, the interim manager claimed the system takes two days to process them - meaning the request was never actually submitted when promised last weekend. Furthermore, the information provided about the loyalty program was incorrect: I was told the points do not expire, but Hilton corporate policy states they expire after 24 months of inactivity. The valuation is also incredibly misleading; 20k points does not cover a night at "most places," especially considering a single night at this exact property costs 66k points. While the staff member Michael was pleasant to deal with, the interim management team simply said whatever was necessary to get a negative review removed, with zero genuine follow-through. I highly advise travelers to keep a close eye on their belongings and be wary of management's promises.

I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We went out and took a stroll, came back around 9:00 AM and the elevators were not yet fixed. It was just ridiculous! The lobby is sensory overload when you first enter it. It's colorful with silver dinosaur bones and pterodactyls overhead. I kid you not! If that wasn't impressive enough, there are humongous crystal geodes on display. Some of the were even larger than me. There's an entrance to an African themed bar which served African inspired dishes, which I'd never had before. All this may seem like it shouldn't go together, but it does. The rooms were stylishly elegant. The bathroom is spacious and well stocked with bathrobes, slippers and quality toiletries. The beds and pillows were plush and cozy. Since we were there for a conference, the ample work area was appreciated. There is a chaise lounge right next to the window where I watched steamboats and cargo ships sail by on the Savannah River. The location was predictably right next to the river. I spent a whole day just walking on the River Walk with a variety of restaurants, dessert shops, candy stores, bars, cafes and souvenir shops. While it was geared towards tourists, which I was, I didn't have to go far from my hotel to get a taste of Savannah. There are historical buildings complete with the moss covered tress and cobblestone streets (which sounds quaint until you walk on it without twisting an ankle). Coming from hotel industry, I can appreciate a well run 5 Diamond hotel. While the stay was extra ordinary, there were a few things I wasn't fond of. The hotel has 3 parts to it. We were staying in the 3 Muses, which is a separate building and bit of a walk from the lobby. The walk isn't an easy one, which was an issue for my elderly father. Since we visited in the summer and the weather was hot and humid, walking out of the airconditioned lobby to trek over to the 3 Muses was less than ideal with my glasses fogging up at each entry and exit. But these were minor hiccups in an otherwise fantastic stay.

I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. I was honestly frustrated by my stay here, especially after reading past reviews…read more For years, guests have mentioned the truck noise, and management keeps replying with the same line about "sharing feedback with the appropriate teams." After staying here, it's clear nothing has actually changed, which is disappointing. I was on the 5th floor facing Bay Street, which turns out to be a major truck route near the interstate. The AC unit was loud, so I turned it off since it was cool outside. That's when the real issue became obvious. There's a traffic light right by the hotel, so trucks constantly stop, idle, and then accelerate again. The noise was incredibly loud, to the point where it felt like I was standing right on the sidewalk. Sleeping was difficult. It also made me wonder about room assignments. If this has been a known issue for years, you'd think they'd avoid placing guests with status in those rooms. A quieter-facing room would have made a big difference. There were a few other issues: * Couldn't access the pool or jacuzzi with the digital key (only the gym worked) * The jacuzzi itself looked worn and in need of refinishing * No complimentary water in the room or lobby, which is surprising given the Savannah heat (though there were cookies and coffee downstairs) * Toilet seat was oddly shaped and uncomfortable * Bedside lamp outlets were loose and didn't hold a charger securely * The clock on the nightstand was extremely bright at night with no way to dim it On the positive side, the lobby has a nice fireplace, and I appreciated the bathroom nightlight. All the staff I encountered seemed very young, under 30, which made me wonder if most roles here are entry-level. I couldn't help but notice a consistent pattern in who was working which positions, while visiting the south. Overall, the biggest issue is the noise and the lack of real action on something that's been raised repeatedly over the years.

The bed here was very comfortable and I got a great rest here. The bathroom was also renovated and was very clean. I came here with a large party and we booked a few rooms and everyone loved it here. My son and his family had a suite with a balcony. Their room's balcony entrance was from the window. I think this is the first time I saw this setup. There was breakfast service here as well. When you come in, you sit down and right away a waitress came with a paper menu. You would fill in what you would like for breakfast and within a few minutes they brought out the food. The menu options were excellent, they had grits, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, bacon, bagels, bread, fruit and a few more items. The breakfast really filled me up for the day. The service here was phenomenal. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight and they had an attendant at the front desk who checked us in and had a friendly attitude. The hotel also has valet service. The staff and housekeepers were very nice, accommodating and did a great job taking care of us. I had a great welcoming stay at the Marshall House. If you are traveling to Savanah, I recommend this hotel!

Every place from the restaurants to the waterfront were all a 10 minute walk or less! Highly recommend!
