168th and Q location - We were served overcooked chicken fingers for the kid's meal. I attempted to break apart one to show the server. They took it back to the kitchen, and the kitchen staff brought it back, but to a different table and told the other table they were fine. The other customers brought the meal to back to my table. At that point, there was no other staff to speak to or ask for a replacement. The staff was too busy pushing an electric scooter out of the kitchen, into the dining room, out the front door of the restaurant and speeding around the parking lot. We (4 adults) had delivery once through DoorDash and none of us were impressed with the burgers. They sounded good but we all felt like our burgers at home were just as good. The fries were a bit soggy but overall were good. Two of us decided to go in and see if dining in was better. The burgers were ok, but nothing special. We both felt the best part, again, were the fries - we agreed if we needed some good fries with interesting toppings, we'd consider picking up a variety from here. As far as service goes, there were two male cooks in the back and another lady was taking orders. One couple was waiting for their order when we got there. Another came in shortly before we left - we went to the back after a few minutes to let someone know because no one came out to take their order. No apologies and fairly lackluster service. Finally made it to Hyde's Slydes! It was well worth the wait. Hyde's Slydes functions out of the Grover's Inn. You can watch all the delicious griddle action from the bar. Also shout out to the bartender, she was great! Also they make it easy to start a tab and give you your card back so you can order food from Hyde's. So as a group we shared the fry box. INCREDIBLE. The best fries and lots of fun toppings. I don't usually love a smothered fry because it always seems to make the fries too mushy. Not the case here! We got the kung fu, cheeseburger, banh mi, and the macaroni. All were delicious but the kung fun was the standout for me. I ordered the Nebraska Heat that has a spicy aioli and pickled jalapeño. This was the best burger I've had in a long time. Perfectly griddles with crispy edges but not dry at all. Also I love the bun they use. Soft but not too soft. The staff is incredibly efficient and helpful. Very quick service. I will be back...probably within the week. read more

We had been so excited to try this place! Granted it was busy (arrived at 12:40 on a Sunday) and we absolutely took that into consideration. However we were told it would be 25-30 minutes for food when we ordered and opted for take out but ordered in the restaurant. We watched numerous other customers request updates on their meals - all being told it would be an additional 5-10 minutes and then it was at least another 20-25 for them. We watched one gal send her food back for hair in the food, new food came out quickly and then she sent it back again due to hair in the food. It took 65 minutes for our two wraps and side of fries to come out. When we were finally handed our food, there was no "thanks for waiting" or even an "enjoy your food". I had to check the hype out for myself... we stopped in late on a week day. The restaurant was clean and cozy. The owner greeted us and answered questions we had about the menu. I don't remember the last time I wrote a review, but these burgers are SO good! I ordered the Lancer, it has mayo, bacon, onions and bbq. The bacon was crispy, cooked perfect. I love bacon on burgers, but often it's undercooked or fatty and I end up pulling it off. Not here! I've had it many times now, it's always consistently excellent! The fries are really good too, my daughter's favorite fries. Their chicken menu looks great also, but I can't not get the burger! Highly recommend! I have mentioned it to friends and neighbors, but many don't see it in the strip mall, and the outside signage doesn't light up so it's easily missed. We stopped by for the smothered fries. Apparently a thing in Omaha. The banh mi fries were interesting. I loved the sauce and beef but the pickled vegetables were more of a giardinaira. Not traditional banh mi veggies. The Maverick Burger was good. It had mozzarella cheese sticks on top, another thing I haven't seen anywhere else. The burger was a smash burger, flattened out with a nice grilled flavor. This was a nice little lunch spot. All of the different smothered fries can be upgraded from the fries that come with the different sandwiches and wraps. Worth checking out. read more

I was in Millard today and decided to stop here on a whim! I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted right away, she answered our questions, and checked on us after we got out food. The burger had great flavor and just the right amount of crisp on the edges! The fries were crispy, seasoned well and hot! I was talking with a friend, telling him that I had been looking for a really good burger for some time, and he recommended Hyde's Slydes. Now, I am going to preface this review, mentioning that there are actually two locations for Hydes Slydes, and I have actually tried both, so this review covers both locations. I was a bit skeptical when my friend told me about the place, thinking that the "sliders" would be tiny and I would need to eat a bunch of them to be satisfied, but that is not the case at all. The volume of food is enough to satisfy a powerful hunger, the burgers are fairly large and the accompanying basket of fries is just the right amount. I will get to the quality and flavor in a moment. The location in Grover Inn is back in the corner of the bar, and you have to order the food separate from the drinks, which you order at the bar. The location on 168th and Q street is a stand alone store, and there you order everything at the counter. Both locations are kind of small, with limited seating. When my wife and I went to the Grover Inn location, it was not too busy in the bar but there was a brisk Door Dash order volume which did result in a bit of a wait for us to get our food. When we went to the 168th and Q location, the place was packed and there was a quite a long wait for the food to come out, but we were not in any real hurry, so I would recommend to go when you are not rushed to get anyplace. Now let's talk about the food .... MAGNIFICENT! My wife loved fries that are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, and she was in love with the fries that Hydes makes. Like I said earlier, they come in an individual fry basket, and the ones we got from both locations were cooked perfectly. As for the burgers, I got the Nebraska Big Rodeo and my wife got the Arksarben when we went to the Grover location. The Nebraska Big Rodeo is a BBQ burger with grilled onions and american cheese, the Arksarben is bacon blue cheese burger with strawberry aioli (yeah, I know ... it sounds different for sure). Both burgers were cooked to perfection. My wife said that the strawberry aioli was not over powering and she could taste the strawberry, bacon and blue cheese distinctly with each bite, and the combination of the three was amazing (she wouldn't even let me try a bite, it was that good). The BBQ burger was also delicious, with just the right amount of grilled onion to give it that BBQ and Onion blend, and the cheese was loaded on it. I also had the Kung Fu fries, which was a huge portion of fries topped with Siracha, Hoisin and Garlic sauces .... WOW! I couldn't eat them all but they were sooooo good. At the 168th and Q street location my wife chose the Arksarben again .... which tells you how good it was the first time. I went with the Lancer burger this time, which had BBQ sauce, Pepperjack Cheese, Bacon, Onions and an Infused Ranch Patty (These guys love to keep you guessing). Again, the burgers and fries were cooked perfectly, and my wife raved again about how good the Arksarben burger was (still not letting me try it), while I enjoyed the Lancer burger. I couldn't really taste the ranch in the patty, other than having a bit of savory flavor, but overall the burger was delicious, and I would not hesitate ordering it again. All I can say is when my wife says, "Hey, do you want to go to Hydes?", my answer will always be a definitive YES .... I also have to give props to my friend who told me about this place ... They just serve burgers and fries, but there's plenty of variety. There are mac and cheese fries for example, which I consider their signature dish. It's great fries swimming in home made mac n cheese. They'll add some meat if you like for pure late night comfort food heaven! Sue and I did this today on our usual Fri afternoon/eve outing. Yes, inside Grover Inn. A non-descript dive bar. I don't mind. Been doing these for yrs. I fit right in. In fact, one guy had to talk to us about being car people (because of our car jackets). Another had to compliment me on my NHRA jacket. I would give 0 Stars if i I could. Absolutely horrible experience. I want to put it out there now that it isn't the girl at the fronts fault. We came in and ordered for takeout, and waited around an hour when we were told to wait for 30 minutes.
