Hot and fresh. Got home in less than 5 minutes, opened the to go container and the roasted duck was fridge cold like it's been sitting in the fridge for a few days ago. Duck is supposed to be fatty, juicy, and greasy. This duck was at least a day old and cold. Disappointed and do not recommend. Great little spot in a super busy shopping center near Costco. There are lots of restaurants to choose from, but you should give N'Joy a try! Tbh, I was a little nervous since there haven't been many recent menu photos or reviews. We took everything to-go, but it was piping hot out of the kitchen and only took about 10 minutes from ordering at the counter to leaving with the goods in-hand. There is plenty of space to dine-in as well. Their menu is huge - almost overwhelming - but they have a little bit of everything. I stopped in specifically for BBQ Pork steamed rice rolls, which can be tough to find at most places outside of a dim sum menu. The price was reasonable (I think $6.75) and it was a great portion. Very flavorful, tender, and a delicious sauce! We also got an order of steamed BBQ pork buns (3 total). Surprisingly, I don't think it was the same meat from the rice rolls but that's OK because it was almost shredded consistency with a good flavor. The bun is a bao-style bun, so less fluffy than my preferred steam bun type but perfectly steamed nonetheless. We ended with an order of sesame balls (3 piece). I was surprised at how much oil was in the to-go container, and a little disappointed that there wasn't more of the sesame coating, but they were so FRESH! I assumed the inside would be red bean but instead it was jelly cubes that reminded me of square boba jellies. Possibly pineapple flavored? Got takeout from this restaurant for Christmas Day and everything was delicious! We got multiple dishes such as fried rice, spare ribs, duck, tofu, beef, chow fun, and fish. The beef was tender, the spareribs were coated in honey sauce and were delicious, and the fish was perfectly soft. The food was flavorful and it wasn't salty. I usually order from the Clover app because it is easier to time the order from our Costco trip (Costco shopping usually takes 1 hr so I usually place the order as we enter Costco). As I got to the store I noticed a lot of new items! I saw the wife cake looking pastry flyer and I could not wait to try it next Saturday. I was going to order some baked bread but they are sold out. Hopefully they might have some on Saturday. Want to try to baked BBQ pork! Regardless we enjoyed our usual: aka Beef chow fun and food kin fried rice, plus the water spinach with garlic. My husband kept praising the wok hei on the veggie dish (and he usually hate veggie btw). We got the crispy roast pork and duck too and love it of course. And the Toi San rice dumpings with peanuts! Husband said he wanted to try the clam on Saturday too. Can't wait to eat there Saturday again! Love to have some authentic Chinese food! We still have not try to eat in person in the shop yet. We were greeted by the aunties as if they knew us most of our lives and we were seated right away. We all ordered porridge. I frequent this place due to the authenticity of the food. However, don't expect too much customer service from here. The servers lack professionalism and can be short with you. The last time I was here, I had to walk out after being seated. The workers were having an argument about who should serve us because one of them were upset that she didn't have her break. They were throwing dishes as they clean up and yelling at each other in Cantonese. It was very uncomfortable for us. I want to support local family-owned business, but no matter how good the food is, I won't be able to enjoy my meal when there's an active family fued. Family disagreements happen, but don't do that at your own business while customers are present. We've been here twice, and it's close to our house. We love their food. We ordered custard buns, chow fun with scrambled egg shrimp, and a BBQ combo set. Also, I requested less salt and less oil. Everything was good... the server sat us right away and the place looked amazing. The atmosphere and location has plenty of seating and easy access to condiments if needed. They have free wifi, which is amazing as this spot is located at the Costco (deadzone) area for cell reception. They offer wide range of dishes such as verity of dimsum, different dishes of Chinese cuisine and boba/snacks. The Mongolian beef is very light in flavor which is fine, but definitely will ask to make it a bit spicier. The BBQ dish was good add on. The tofu and fish claypot was the best dish I ordered. It was packed with stuff and had good flavor. The salted fish and chicken actually tasted like it had salted fish, it helped counter palace the sweet from the bbq dish and the heaviness of the other dish. I also ordered their famous Noodle Roll both shrimp and pork style, the shrimp needed more shrimp or at least bigger one for the thickness of the noodle and price. A few highlights: -The broccoli in the broccoli beef was cooked well and lightly crunchy. -ample proportion of ginger scallion sauce to the steamed chicken -juicy and meaty roast duck -the restaurant itself is small, but very clean. -friendly service and food was served very quickly Overall, the dishes all tasted like they were JUST seasoned enough/borderline bland. Just a little more oyster sauce/soy sauce would make a big difference. No bold flavors here. I especially Wished the braised beef had a bolder taste the complement the chow fun. Food is a solid 3 stars, it's a hit or miss depending on what you order. A nice place to get your Canton/HK style food fix. They serve the usual Chinese food you would find at any Chinese restaurant but also serves their own BBQ/Roast meats! Their menu also expands to items you don't normally see at a more Americanized Chinese restaurant such as congee, rice rolls, clay pots, etc. In addition, they have a menu of Boba drinks. I like to order their rice rolls and the HK style soy sauce chow mein. Their over rice dishes are a hit or miss. I would skip the congee (the one I tried was the preserved egg with pork which lacked flavor). The wonton noodles are also mediocre (which is a shame as I love wontons!). Recently Uber eats from this location because I was craving wonton soup. I ordered their crab rangoons and their wonton soup. Crab Rangoons were delicious. The perfect amount of crispiness. I would totally order this again. Their wonton soup was on the basic side. Straight forward with broth and wontons. If you're craving something simple, definitely try this. Came down to Elk Grove for my Chinese aunt's 90 birthday with my son and reunited with my brother, his family, and my son from Southern California, and my cousin and her husband. We had a family style Cantonese dinner here at NJoy with multiple courses - orange chicken for my picky eater son, bitter melon with beef, shrimp with vegestabels, curried fish balls, chow fun with shrimp, bbq pork buns, crispy pork, marinated chicken, and white rice. OMG, loved every bite and we had the perfect table for all of us with a lazy Susan to share everything. Everything was so good. The restaurant is small but intimate and the server was so nice. I ordered take out since I was in the area. I've been trying to give this place a try but haven't had the chance to. I ordered Peking ribs, garlic peas, and half of a roasted duck. Pretty disappointed, the Peking ribs taste like sweet and sour and the meat pieces are half fat and half meat. I ended up throwing that away. Delicious Cantonese food in Elk Grove! My family usually goes more to Sacramento for Cantonese food but this restaurant has been on repeat every since they discovered it. Prices are fairly reasonable with some dishes but of course my Chinese family would always say it could be cheaper. Portions are good, not ginormous but also not skimpy. Here are some of my go-to favorites that we ordered: Pan fried noodles with beef and tomato (5/5)- I always order this when I go to eat Chinese food and this dish was the best out of all. Saucy, sweet, and salty. Beef chow fun (4/5)- noodles could have been a little thinner or separated. Supposedly the meat was more tender last time my aunt came. Wonton noodle soup (3.5/5) -broth was lacking a little something, noodles a little over cooked, and wontons could have had more shrimp. For $11 it's still worth imo Fish porridge (3.5/5)- doesn't taste the same as all the other fish porridges I've had, perhaps could have used more salt Noodle rice roll- not sure why my aunt ordered no meat, but it was free since she has a rewards card for coming here so much. I'd rather have it with me. Essentially these are all of my favorite Cantonese dishes and they all passed the test to eat again. read more

It's expected since that's when they get the most to-go orders and customer's dining in. Let's talk food! Some of my favorites are the roasted duck over rice, deep fried tofu, fried rice with dried scallops, and the porridge. I'm not a big fan of their rice noodle rolls. The beef chow fun is also a little too greasy for my liking. I love that anytime I'm craving Chinese food I can come here for a quick bite. The service here needs some improvement. After getting food served, you usually don't see your server again unless you flag them down. If you haven't given this place a try, you should! There are a lot more yummy items on the menu I have yet to try. I will come back to try them soon. read more
