Although this review is long overdue, Teacup was one of the go-to places for hangouts and study sessions. The service was superb, the wall decors are great conversation starters, they had board games, and I loved the space they had that can fit a large group of people. Grabbed an avocado smoothie before it closed. Tasted super delicious, not too sweet and the boba's chewiness was just perfect. I will miss going to Teacup!

Jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly. They didnt drained it all the way since i still saw tea leaves in it.

Im not sure if I went on the wrong day, but the quality, and service sucked. I used to love going here for my boba fix, but recently the drinks have been getting worse and worse. I got a jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly, but mines had tea leaves in it, and it was thick. Usually, Im greeted by the cashiers snd they were all soo friendly, but when i went up to the cashier she didn't even say hi. The boba is still good and on point, and the place is still my little hole in the wall boba shop but something's gotta change.

    Peach strawberry

The asian girl with the glasses was so sweet and efficient while taking my order. It's very clean, vibes were amazing, and the drink was so delicious (peach strawberry, oops I forgot to take a pic before I finished it). 10/10, would come again!

02.01.2026 - TEACUP, ELK GROVE, CA - Boba places are almost everywhere. If youre one of those people who love strawberry, this place has Strawberry Milk Tea. They only have one size and its a pretty decent size. I went in on a Sunday afternoon. It was desserted in there. I purchased one Strawberry Milk Tea with Lychee jelly and Lychee Boba. It was a great combination. In fact the guy at the register helped me with the suggestion of toppings that goes well with the strawberry milk tea. The price was $5.00 according to the menu. I asked for 50% sweetness. I enjoyed my drink. I will return again.

Yay my favorites Teacup reopened. Of course I have to come back the first weekend and get their drinks! Same goodies as before!

Almost $6 for a drink and they didn't even fill it up to the top (almost 2 fingers from the top) and I didn't even ask for less ice :'(

Crushed that they will be closing Halloween 2025. I came to really appreciate and enjoy their house-made boba. It lasted longer and tasted better than your average black boba. Their drinks are very reasonably priced and they have a good variety, despite a relatively small menu. Trying to get as much as I can before they close.

Came in for a little late night drink and wow. Parking lot is big and easy to park in front of anywhere really! The inside has some seating and no line! We ordered a passion fruit tea & tiger milk tea. The passion fruit tea was my fiancés favorite! We will be back as this is close to our home!

Atmosphere: The atmosphere felt comfortable, but not exactly welcoming. I enjoyed the music choice and volume level, though the lights were pretty dim. It was comfortable due to the fact there were no customers and cute posters. Plus there was We Bear Bears on the tv! Service: The employee was very patient with me trying to decide which drink I wanted so I appreciate it. (: Food/Drinks: I ordered the Strawberry Matcha latte with regular sugar and ice and it was better than expected. I love the fact that there was a lot of strawberry puree in my drink and strawberry bits!! Cleanliness & Maintenance: Everything looked clean! No worries there. Although, I noticed the kiosk was unresponsive when trying to pay and might have a crack or so, but this didn't impact my experience. Wait Time: I waited about 5 minutes for my drink to be ready. Value: The Strawberry Matcha latte cost about $5.75 which was pretty dang good compared to the Bay Area prices sitting around $7-$8. Overall Experience: Overall, this was a solid experience. I'd love to try the food served at this shop! This boba shop is definitely underrated, but might be due to the location.

    Matcha boost with boba

I come here for specific drinks. I had the matcha boost 10/10. It is strong in matcha flavor and the perfect texture of a slush. I've tried a few other drinks at teacup but the matcha is solid.

Honestly disappointed. My boyfriend I and really like this place and frequently go here and are even part of the rewards program. We ordered a milk tea and mochi waffle. We waited for about 15 minutes to be told that the cashier gave it away by mistake. But assured us another one would be coming out. We wait another 10 minutes and I go and ask about the mochi waffle. Turns out they're out of stock and they gave the last one to a guy who did not even pay for it! I was really annoyed as the cashier didn't seem to care that we waited 30 minutes for nothing, and did not even comp or offer something just out of courtesy. They just offered a refund which honestly wasn't worth my time. As someone who worked fast food before, a better system to confirm order pickups would avoid this inconvenience. Cashier was "Gojo" according to the receipt.

I always come here for the Teacup and Oreo Blast. I don't need to make any adjustments because the sweetness level is perfect for me. The boba shop is clean and spacious, and even though it gets busy, the drinks come out quickly. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other boba shops in the area.

    Takoyaki
    Tram B.

The workers today were super nice and energetic today. I got a loud greeting as I walked into the door and it was cute. They were very friendly and quick to help get my order. The takoyaki was so good. The outside was super crispy and the inside was so soft and generous with the octopus. I do wish it had more sauce to match Japan's but the abundance of flakes on top were so pretty as they danced from the heat. It was only $5 too for 6, so it was a great value. The Jasmine milk tea tasted like syrup today. Usually I love their drinks, but I feel like it just wasn't mixed enough maybe? I usually get the earl gray but I felt a Jasmine mood today and while the Jasmine tea flavor was strong, the taste was a bit off. The boba was chewy and very good though. Still, I'd come back here because the food and drinks are usually good.

We recently stopped by Cafe La Vies and ended up having such a fun experience…read more I ordered the banana matcha, which was absolutely delicious. The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

I walk up to the counter and asked for the Mango Sticky Rice and the guy who helped me, idk what his name is had an attitude and was like we're out of it. I'm thinking to myself, sooo if you KNOW you're of something that's popular and on the menu, maybe you should put a sign somewhere stating that it's currently NOT AVAILABLE. Then I had to call back home to let my siblings know that the initial drink they wanted was not available, so they can choose something else and again the guy taking the order wad annoyed. My siblings decided upon the Mangonada with brown sugar boba and the iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha. Unfortunately, brown sugar boba was not available was all out for the day according to the cashier.. but no sign stating that they were sold out. I had to call my siblings again to let them know and ask if they wanted crystal boba as a replacement. To keep the order going while I was calling them, I asked for a mochi waffle and the guy threw his hands up annoyed and was like do you not want the boba for drink? I told the cashier I'll have the crystal boba instead of the brown sugar since it's currently unavailable, and the guy goes with an attitude... soo do you want the crystal boba? I said yess...yes I do. The Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha was alrightt. It is definitely not all that it is hyped up to be. The drink IMO was just a basic iced matcha with chocolate drizzle on the side of the cup and the pistachio foam that barely tasted like pistachio.

Parking was confusing, didn't realize it was in a church and there wasn't really obvious signage from the parking lot that you're in the right spot. I had to look at the other review pictures to be like okay, I am here. Interior is cute and modern, but lacking that lived in feel I prefer for coffee shops. Service was quick. The coffee itself seems to lean towards biblical (lol?) food items. Think olive oil, dates, tahini, honey. I got the Tahini Einspanner because how fun, I can get some tastes of tahini and date but the whip and syrup didn't mix well into the drink despite me aggressively trying so it just lasted like a $7 plain latte. I almost had to bite the whip because it was so thick. Seems like they're using quality ingredients so the intention is there, the executions needs some refinement.
