I don't know why every time I come in here the service is so blah. Don't get me wrong. The drinks are great, the price is average and The location is good with plenty tables to sit at. But I never complain and am always polite and I feel zero from them. I guess that's better than being rude... but it kills the experience and it's not the first time. But I'm a sucker for a good bubba so I come back for the torture lol.

Nicely decorated store with friendly staff. The drinks weren't the business... me and my daughters are boba tea connoisseurs and it just wasn't it. We're exploring around boba tea spots we haven't tried before and most likely won't be coming back to this one. The popcorn chicken was cooked well but it was missing flavor. The milk teas weren't sweetened even though I put 100% for thai tea and 75% for the other ones. The milk teas all tasted like water... doesn't taste like thai tea at all, taro or brown sugar. The lemonade was too sweet but I would say it was better than the other drinks.

Pina Colada Smoothie with Coconut Jelly(secret drink). This tropical drink was very sweet & delicious as well!

We stopped in over the weekend to quench our thirst!Hubby and our toddler ordered the Strawberry Slush(25% sweetness) to share and enjoyed this refreshing drink! I tried a sip and LOVED it, fruity with the perfect amount of sweetness!! I ordered the Pina Colada Smoothie with Coconut Jelly(secret drink). This tropical drink was very sweet and delicious as well! This small business makes made to order blended drinks, teas with toppings like jelly, boba, whipped cream and sea cream! They also sell honey toast and a variety of snacks! Great shop and service with a smile! We'll be back! *Song Credit: Glass Museum by Johnny La Rock

Mango green tea w/sea foam; 50% sweetness (but could have gone lower). Boba was super sweet! =)

Tea Culture is a family staple since it's so close to home. Super cute vibes and have zero complaints! I like that my kids are able to order a slush or a smoothie (without caffeine, compared to other boba tea spots). If you're craving a refreshing treat and you're in the area, I recommend! :)

Drinks here are pretty good. The milk tea has strong tea flavor. And their boba texture is not too chewy. They have a good amount of seating and games for groups to hang out. Also so a lot of people studying here. Service is pretty quick and prices are comparable to other places in the area. Would definitely come again if in the area.

Potted Plant Milk Tea (Black Tea)

This place is in the running for the longest standing OG boba shop in Elk Grove. However, it's taken me how many years to try it out and give it a review. It's actually a very spacious spot. They have many things on their menu. Their drinks are not as flashy as other boba shops or franchises, but they have a good assortment of drinks. I got a potted plant drink. I would say the milk tea has a strong taste, more than I prefer. But if you're one that likes a strong tea taste, this place does it well. The cashier/barista was nice and patient. And the prices are fair. Pretty solid boba shop.

Mango Sago Delight. Not the same as mango sago :)

This is a decent boba place in the area. The few times that I have been here, they were not busy. There are few tables for customers. The quality of their drinks were pretty good. Sometimes their sago was a bit undercooked though. Service was quick. They do offer some drinks hot but most are cold. Other than drinks, they also offer snacks as well.

Tea culture is a great place to study and grab a quick snack. The fried tofu here is so good and one of my favorite places to get fried tofu. They have a variety of sauce options for your snack: ranch, chili sauce, spicy mayo, etc. My go to drink if you need to stay awake is the oolong tea. It's really good and my go to study drink. I recommend getting drinks at 25% sweet (drinks tend to be really sweet). It's quiet and clean. There are outlets (for charging) in the restaurant. Because the front of house is small, there are only a few tables.

    Mango Delish w/ Coconut Jelly
    Ellyzha A.

Ordered Mango Delish w/ 50% sweetness. I appreciate how it was actually 50% sweetness! It was not too sweet and the coconut jelly complimented the drink well. My only issue was that they forgot to add the sago that's suppose to come with the drink. I think that would've leveled it up. I love how nicely it was decorated inside. The person serving us was kind and answered any questions we had. Overall, great place!

    Large- Green Thai Tea

Tea Culture has been around in Elk Grove for awhile now but I don't go much.. however I may be coming more often now after trying their green thai tea. Most boba shops don't serve green thai tea and I usually have to get it when I go down to the bay.. Tea Culture is a cute little boba shop with very simplistic design. They have a lot of tables and chairs for people to come and enjoy their drinks and food. They serve popcorn chicken, honey toast, French fries, etc. They have a variety of drinks as well, I love how open their menu selection is. The service is super quick as well.

Was recommended love potion and tropical sunrise. Both were delicious. It was hot out yesterday. Definitely refreshing. I would recommend adding a bit of acidity to the tropical. Like pineapple or use the green mangi

Thai tea & strawberry lava nada
    David T.

ORDER Regular size Thai tea with rainbow jelly Strawberry lava nada Calamari Popcorn chicken Fried oyster Cajun Fries Pretty good popcorn chicken and fried oysters. Thai tea was good also but honestly it's such a basic drink it's pretty hard to mess up. Prices were fair and it was a Sunday afternoon so not busy at all. Parking is shared within the plaza. Service was okay with no issues for the amount of food I ordered. They have reward system so you can maybe earn a free drink. If I'm in the area and craving boba, I'll comeback to Tea Culture.

Matcha milk tea & Vietnamese coffee
    Gillian A.

Ah, a good ol' boba shop. Refreshing as it seems like many boba shops these days, especially newer ones, tend to be overly trendy (IMO). Authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken with the lightly-crisp coating and tender meat. As a nitpick though I wished it had more seasoning on it. Fried tofu was a bit of a dud because although it had an ASMR-crunchy exterior it was downright bland; pretty much mandatory to dunk the pieces into one of the available sauces (I chose sweet and sour)! The matcha milk tea was exactly how I wanted it to be; perfect 50% sweetness and nice earthy flavor. Included matcha boba pearls in it due to curiosity (have never seen it as an option at other boba shops); had a slight matcha flavor and the texture and chew was similar to that of crystal boba. My sister got the Vietnamese coffee and she said that "it was pretty good"; no further comment lol. I dig this boba shop. Definitely will be an addition to my boba shop rotation!

Good, simple, and relatively inexpensive tea. The place is clean, the ambiance is nice, and the workers get the job done.

What's vegan on the menu? Do any of the powdered tea flavorings contain any milk derivatives?

No, but they have different milk options like soy milk or almond milk etc. Instead of regular cow milk

Interesting place but not to our taste…read more We stopped by to get a thank you gift for someone at the Elk Grove dealership. The donuts are definitely pretty, colorful and unique. The injections or syringes full of sweet fillings are quite novel. Kids love 'em. I know they were super popular when a student's parent brought Bad Bakers donuts to celebrate their birthday. So presentation wise, they have it down. Taste wise, ugh. Texture is all wrong and way too sweet. I grabbed an old fashioned donut to take home and by the time we got home, it felt all mushy, unlike old fashioned donuts at other shops. You know it's bad when the donut sits around at home untouched by everyone! But I'd say it's a good place to go for maybe kids, teens and younger customers who just want a cool-looking donut and some sugar. Our gift recipients thought they were super cool though. I kinda mumbled under my breath that they look amazing but not sure how great they taste (having tried the Roseville location in the past). Neat place but not quite our thing.
