Funny how sometimes you don't notice what's right in your own neighborhood until the day you finally do! This tea spot has been close to my house all this time, and I never even knew it existed. I came in with another Yelper, and of course I had to get my usual favorite: taro milk tea with lychee popping boba at 50% sugar. I love that they let you customize the sugar level, and 50% was perfect--sweet enough without being overly sweet. My friend got a different drink that looked amazing too. They have plenty of seating and lots of space if you want to work on your computer, scroll on your phone, or just hang out. We came around noon on a weekday, and it was pretty quiet and relaxing. There's plenty of parking in the Raley's shopping center and the surrounding areas. They also have the typical boba-shop snacks, including French fries, calamari, and other goodies. The girls working the counter were super friendly, and our drinks came out quickly. We sat, enjoyed our drinks, and caught up, which made for a really nice afternoon. It's been a while since I've been here and I hadn't had their fruit tea. I didn't remember much from the first time I came here and had gotten their milk teas, but my friend recommended their fruit teas this time around. I had gotten their butterfly pea grapefruit tea and it was super refreshing. The colors were also super pretty. Apparently their drinks are on the sweeter side, so I opted for 50% sweet and that was actually just perfect. In terms of their snacks, their popcorn chicken was pretty solid--crispy, hot and fresh. You can also season it yourself. The fries were ok, a bit more potato than I would like. I generally like my fries more crispy. Came in for the first time amd took a look at the menu. Didn't know what all I wanted so I looked at the menu for a few minutes amd eneded up ordering the following Drinks: Thai tea w/ice cream Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba Appetizers: Spicy fried Calamari rings NOTE: Pay with cash. 3.5% for using Debit or Credit. Nicely decorated store with friendly staff. The drinks weren't the business... me and my daughters are boba tea connoisseurs and it just wasn't it. We're exploring around boba tea spots we haven't tried before and most likely won't be coming back to this one. The popcorn chicken was cooked well but it was missing flavor. The milk teas weren't sweetened even though I put 100% for thai tea and 75% for the other ones. The milk teas all tasted like water... doesn't taste like thai tea at all, taro or brown sugar. This place is in the running for the longest standing OG boba shop in Elk Grove. However, it's taken me how many years to try it out and give it a review. It's actually a very spacious spot. They have many things on their menu. Their drinks are not as flashy as other boba shops or franchises, but they have a good assortment of drinks. I got a potted plant drink. I would say the milk tea has a strong taste, more than I prefer. But if you're one that likes a strong tea taste, this place does it well. The cashier/barista was nice and patient. Tea culture is a great place to study and grab a quick snack. The fried tofu here is so good and one of my favorite places to get fried tofu. They have a variety of sauce options for your snack: ranch, chili sauce, spicy mayo, etc. My go to drink if you need to stay awake is the oolong tea. It's really good and my go to study drink. I recommend getting drinks at 25% sweet (drinks tend to be really sweet). It's quiet and clean. There are outlets (for charging) in the restaurant. Ah, a good ol' boba shop. Refreshing as it seems like many boba shops these days, especially newer ones, tend to be overly trendy (IMO). Authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken with the lightly-crisp coating and tender meat. As a nitpick though I wished it had more seasoning on it. Fried tofu was a bit of a dud because although it had an ASMR-crunchy exterior it was downright bland; pretty much mandatory to dunk the pieces into one of the available sauces (I chose sweet and sour)! The matcha milk tea was exactly how I wanted it to be; perfect 50% sweetness and nice earthy flavor. Included matcha boba pearls in it due to curiosity (have never seen it as an option at other boba shops); had a slight matcha flavor and the texture and chew was similar to that of crystal boba. My sister got the Vietnamese coffee and she said that "it was pretty good"; no further comment lol. I dig this boba shop. Definitely will be an addition to my boba shop rotation! read more

Update since my last visit -- The owner reached out to address the issue and offer to remake the drink which was nice. The last time I was there they only had the takeout window and there was no dining there is currently dine in. Tonight I decided to stop by (10/19) and the workers were both super nice and friendly! Way more welcoming compared to my last visits. I think her name was Yaone? Aside from my remake I also got their snacks! Seems like all of them are in stock now. I got the fried oysters + curry fish ball. The oysters were 5 for $8. Not bad tbh most places charge more, it is oyster so I understand. It was really good dipped with their sweet chili sauce. Very tasty iced teas with boba! I tried the guava iced tea (green tea base) and regular boba at 75% sweetness. Next time I would go 50% sweetness because it was a bit too sweet for me. I stopped by on friday afternoon for the first time and the worker recommended the honey green milk tea for me while my sister got the taro smoothie. The honey green milktea was aromatic and had excellent flavor while not being too sweet, not only that but the boba was the most wonderful texture--chewy, bouncy and the perfect addition to complement the drink. My sister's drink had this amazing creamy texture to it that just went down so smoothly while being packed with flavor! The interior was spacious but cozy and clearly well kept. The best part of Tea Culture though is hands down the staff. Felicity at the counter was so friendly and eager to help us with a smile on her face, my sister and i couldn't decide what to order off their menu but her recommendations were spot on!
