    (Barely) Escaped Escobar
    Alyssa G.

Make Pablo Proud Case No. 41: ESCOBAR The year is 1993. You're working for Pablo Escobar in Medellin, Colombia when one of his most trusted allies betrays him. In his rage, Escobar takes out the informer who is the only one who knows where Escobar's money and passport are hidden. The DEA are on their way. Can you find the items and escape? Tip: Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. We barely escaped with our lives. It went down to the wire and I really mean DOWN. TO. THE. WIRE. There were 0 seconds on the clock when we sent the final signal and escaped. This room stands apart from other escape rooms but you'll have to play for yourself to find out why! We booked this room originally for two with a promo code. I had a friend want to play last minute and they paid on the spot but were overcharged. We didn't figure it out until we left. We called back and after some back and forth, they refunded us. If you book during the day and not on peak times, it costs less. If you look for the like green or pink times on their website, those are the lower prices/discounted times. They have a small lot for parking in the back of their building but we had to call for them to remove the chain that was blocking people from just driving up and parking there.

I love escape rooms, my partner and I do them as a regular date night. Escape Revolution has by far been our favorite experience. It is very immersive, it gets your adrenaline pumping. A little pricier than other rooms but totally worth it. Game masters are super fun and kind. The set, the puzzles, the props, it's like wow, can I do that? LOL 10/10 the first Pablo Escobar room was our favorite and the jail escape close second

Having done just over 30 escape rooms, I can say the production value here is pretty awesome, we did the Armored Vehicle Heist. Gamemaster, Quinn, was also a 10/10 for customer service (friendly, upbeat, responsive, attentive), and she also got us an earlier game time than originally scheduled. Only issue was my partner was injured during the game, coming down pretty hard on a sharp edge of the truck while getting out of the vehicle leaving a pretty good cut and bruising. Quinn was paying close attention and quickly came on the intercom and asked if anyone was injured or needed assistance. We requested first aid once we realized the cut was worse than we thought. (We love you Quinn! Thank you for watching out for us!). After getting patched up, my partner wanted to stick out the rest of the game since the room was pricey and we ended up escaping. I will say I am a little surprised I did not receive a phone call/email from the owner or some sort of discount/refund on the room in the following days. I have never heard of injuries happening from an escape room unless there was gross negligence involved. They have most likely removed that piece of the vehicle since then after reviewing the surveillance footage. Overall, they are worth checking out if you are into escape games with top tier set design.

We last minute decided to play the car heist room and let me tell you it bangs. Frank, the guy feeding us the hints via walkie talkie, was awesome and like an Australian Tom Holland. He took these sick photos of us. Love to Frank and The Escape Revolution. Mark my words WE'LL BE BACK!!! also there's parking and free diet coke. literally spoiled us

The armored truck room was a-lot of fun, actually difficult for a group of people who have never done before or only have a couple times. Kirsten was our game master and was definitely a blessing! She gave off great energy to start the room and was great when putting up with our no knowledge of how the puzzles work We definitely want to come back for a different room.

Funny how they say they have no record of me and are trying to discredit my review bc I did sign a waiver. I know it was this location and I have a picture of my experience in two of their rooms!

Any reason why these rooms area about 1.5 times more expensive than other escape rooms in the area? Not trying to be rude but trying to justify the price to a group of friends.

If you havent fully paid for the room, they will collect the balance there. The price is a little high for a one hour experience and tip is optional at the end via cash or a cashapp payment. For 8 people, on a Saturday, it was over $400. I read somewhere in the comments/questions section, there is a yelp check-in discount. I didnt see any on the website, so maybe check with them? Also, there is a code for $15 off your room in the photos section something. I didnt take a photo of it, but I do recall seeing a similar image at the check-in desk. I liked how it consisted of multiple rooms, and without spoilers, it was super cool to solve for all the ways to get to rooms. The puzzles weren't too hard, but not too easy either--they require you to be attentive to details and your surroundings, but not extremely hidden. Everything was super interactive, with a lot of sound queues, and a lot of things to play around with until you solve the puzzle. Overall, it was really enjoyable, and we solved it with 8 minutes to spare (after using ~5 hints). They also offer other activities as I've heard, and there's a bar with drinks in the front and arcade machines as well. Parking was bad as it was metered street parking, but if you park about 5min away in an apartment street, it's free and safer!

Our group has done many escape rooms, we seek them out and are always looking for new exciting rooms. The panic room was disappointing - felt like re-hash of other puzzles in other rooms you've been in before - but yet unsatisfying in a strange way. It's those types where if it's old, it lags. [Some people in my group repeated some actions in succession, which may have taken even more of our time.] I did cut my finger on the bike by accident though. From the moment you step into the Escape Hotel, you are immersed in its story. All the staff were dressed and acted in character. One of the staff was really good at acting, improvising, and at jump scaring me while we waited in the lobby for our game to start (I tend to get easily startled), which made our wait very fun and memorable. I wish I knew his name. All the decor was beautiful; the "spooky hallway" to the bathroom was indeed very spooky. My boyfriend and I did the Daycare room, which is rated as easy and linear. I've only done five escape rooms to date, so I'm not that experienced. I found the difficulty level of the Daycare room to be perfect for our group of 2. We were able to complete it with 20 minutes to spare. We both love horror and scary stuff, although I get scared very easily. The Daycare room was very creepy and immersive, with lots of jump scares. I was scared throughout the whole experience (which is what we were looking for). If you hate being in the dark, this is not the room for you. I would love to come back here to check out the escape rooms!! They also have a restaurant/bar upstairs, which opens at 5pm. I wrote a separate review for the restaurant (called Room Number 13). In conclusion, I highly highly recommend checking out this place!

As soon as you walk in, you see a band playing at the top, a couple of the actors, and this giant room. Very unique! I've tried different horror escape rooms and would put this as highly rated a great choice. You're put right in the middle of the theme as soon as you walk in! The escape room itself was great!! I wish there was a live actor in it, but even without the live actor it was such a nice experience. We did the scariest room; the attic. I loved the puzzles that they gave. I think what differentiates this escape room from others is the puzzles make so much sense and are so creatively done. Other ones I've been to have you questioning how anyone was supposed to solve that. But not this place. I love the way they presented their clues and they definitely give you jump scares throughout the room. What a great experience. I would comeback and recommend it to others! I'd separate the escape room itself from their upstairs dining service. I was very curious what it would be like since I've never had an escape company do also a restaurant. We were sat in the very back and they only offered to move us right when we finished our meal and were about to leave, which had us confused. It took very long for our orders to arrive. On top of that our server never delivered one of our orders. So we asked for it again and they brought it, but double charged us by forgetting about the first time we asked. So we had to get that fixed. The food itself is also just mediocre with the portions being smaller than it looks in the pictures. I would not eat there again. The service and the food were both disappointing. But as an escape room itself which is the main attraction, it's such a lovely place that has so many options to try and definitely worth coming back to. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Something's Out There is definitely a scary room with jump scares and tense situations (no live actors though, thank goodness), and it was so much fun. There was a situation where a major thing was missed due to misdirected sound and faint lighting, but the GM pointed out that we had missed something. It was set in like, a hillbilly bayou. The Garretts room is also really cool as it's a very retro house, pristine since the family disappeared in the 1980s. Want to come back and do the third room, a western, even though it might be a tad easy, just to do the experience since the other two rooms were so fun. I don't remember any size restrictions for the Garretts, but there is a thing in Something's Out There, where you have to crowd into a small room.
