I found this place 3 years ago after having my hair mangled at another studio. Tara was able to fix the cut over a period of time while allowing my hair to keep its length. Over the past three years, I have had numerous cuts by Tara and they have always been excellent. I am welcomed and always offered a drink (water, coffee, wine, etc.). Tara is an amazing stylist with the ability to read exactly what I want. I have very thick hair, and my highlights can take over three hours. The first time I came here was because of a Groupon for a Keratin treatment. Tara did it, and I couldn't be happier! She is a great combination of knowledgeable, professional, and fun. I love visiting with her while she works. Until then I always went to a different place with a new Groupon every time I needed a treatment because they are so expensive. Tara did such a fantastic job, that I've been going back every 4 months over the past three years. Not that the treatment wears off, but my kinky roots drive me crazy. Yes, your hair is extremely flat for 3-4 days afterwards, so just don't schedule it right before a big event. I love Tara and the amazing work she does! read more

I am so sad I have to give a 2 star to this place because as far as the salon and customer service goes, it is really 5 star and I really like it. However, I did not like the end result! I had a keratin hair treatment here and this was not my first time getting a treatment. The reason I chose this salon was because they are using Peter Coppola product which claims to have less formaldehyde compounds in it. However, my hair was keratin treated for 2 weeks and I use organic sulfate free shampoo! After 3 weeks, my hair is back to being really frizzy. That was bearable, but then since I have done this treatment my hair has been falling out like crazy! read more

Ok well here goes my review. I really am not anyone to attack others or put them down so I'll try to be level headed here. I bought a groupon for the Keratin treatment (and glass of wine) and was given an appointment with Jenna. *This salon does a lot of these smoothing and straightening treatments and the smell that hits you when you walk in the door is intense! I feel for the stylists there, for health issues they need to figure out a better ventilation system... no doors or windows were open and all the fumes just hang out inside. *The conversation that my stylist began striking up with me is also worth noting here. There was nothing wrong with it hanging out over a beer or something i get that. But I really did not expect it from a stylist. Not about to give out all the details of this but it was definitely NOT professional at all. *I've had a keratin treatment done before and one thing I noticed is that she did not soak my hair completely with the product. It all seemed to be done rather quickly (well more than what i'm used to) and messy. I know the after care, no washing/tying hair up and I bought the expensive shampoo. My hair still ended up looking the same as it had before the treatment. *Last point... she didn't offer me the glass of wine so i had to ask about half way through. When I got it though the wine was horrible Lol! So maybe you can just do without it :) Point of advice ladies... sometimes going cheaper ends up costing more! Some things I can catch a good deal on but when it comes to skin and hair care I've learned to go for quality over discount! read more

I recently visited this salon because I found a good deal for a haircut, deep conditioning, and blo out on Groupon. From the time I called to schedule my appointment I was hesitant. The lady who picked up the phone seemed to be confused, and after asking her, "so am I set for my appointment? She told me yes you will be with Victoria or Taylor." I went into the salon the next day for my hair appointment and was greeted by a lady, who I found out later was Taylor, who went to check her schedule then came back to tell me she'd be the one doing my hair. The salon is small and cute as you see in their picture filled with young tattooed/pin up hair stylists. This lady, still didn't know her name, took me back to wash my hair and start the deep conditioning process. After this was completed, I sat at her station to start my hair cut. I explained to her that I was growing my hair out and that I wanted a trim with some added layers to give my hair a little umph. She started the cut.. and I said by the way what is your name? She responded letting me know her name was Taylor. Then I asked her how long she had been cutting hair, which she responded 2 years but had assisted for quite some time. She proceeded with my trim which consisted of about 5 little cuts and a blow dry with a regular vent brush. When she was done, she showed me the back of my hair which I couldn't see because the mirror was dirty and there wasn't enough lighting. I couldn't believe my hair was done at this point because the ends of my hair were frayed looking and flat as ever. To make things worse, my friend told me out of those 5 little cuts that they were uneven and choppy looking in the back :/ I'd have to say this was the worst haircut experience I have come across, and I even tipped. I have really curly hair that I usually straighten, so finding a hairstylist that can cut my hair for both looks and knows how to tame my curls is rare. I've had my share of disaster haircuts and treatments so this review should show how amazing Hailey is. I had a Keratin treatment done on my hair & am loving the results! Hailey explained how the treatment would work and all the directions which was helpful. I had a Brazilian blowout done before but that left my scalp and hair pretty dry so I was a little hesitant to have a similar treatment done. But she took her time, was never pushy about products to buy or anything, and I never felt scared about what the outcome of my hair would be. The results are amazing. For the first time, I am able to style my hair in 5 minutes with very little product. No more spending 45 minutes straightening my hair! Let me start first by saying I was super intimidated about visiting any salon in Orange County. I have only lived here a few years and was afraid of the huge prices and even larger egos that many of the salons out here have. I found a Groupon for Hypnotic, and decided to try it out. I loved it here. There was no ego and the prices were very fair, better than anything else I had researched. This place is great for any age client. I was greeted warmly by Ana, my stylist. She was sweet and attentive, and I felt like I was her first priority. I cut more then 10 inches off my hair (to donate it) and Ana gave me the best haircut I have had in a LONG time. She also did subtle highlights in my hair (which I LOVE) which make my natural hair color pop, cover my greys that have been popping up, and make my hair look great in the sunlight!
