    This is a cool location. I took my car in without an appointment, early morning. Got the oil change with a couple of new filters. I was there an hour or so maybe two hours. The employees were nice and seemed to be happy. Fresh popcorn was made and vending machines were working. I was glad I didn't have to stay all morning even though I showed up without an appointment. Yay.

    I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Kona SEL at Hyundai Carson and had the pleasure of working with Mike, Josh, and Vincent. Mike was wonderful, discussing the cost of the car, offering any deals and discounts available to make the sale happen while keeping it affordable. He also went above and beyond to make sure everything in the car was to my liking before driving off with my new baby. Josh was very knowledgeable, showing me the different features the vehicle had to offer and answering any questions I had. Vincent made the contract signing process easy and painless. He explained things in detail and answered any clarifying questions I had. An overall wonderful experience! Thank you so much Hyundai Carson for getting me into my dream car!

    Disappointing Experience - Bait and Switch Tactics I recently had a frustrating experience with Carson Hyundai that I feel potential customers should be aware of. I live about an hour away and had been seriously considering a 2024 Hyundai Palisade they had listed at $38,998 on CarGurus. I reached out and spoke with Mike, who was initially helpful. I was completely transparent with him--letting him know I had a deposit on another Palisade and that I'd already been to several dealerships. I told him upfront that I was not interested in any dealer add-ons. Mike assured me that they could remove any of those if needed. We scheduled an appointment for a cold Sunday evening, and I made the long drive with my two young kids to see the vehicle. The Palisade looked great, the test drive went smoothly, and I was happy with the advertised price. When we sat down to talk numbers, I didn't even try to negotiate lower--I was ready to close. Then came the surprise: nearly $5,000 in mandatory dealer add-ons. These included a $699 3M protection package, $799 battery protection, $1,499 SWDS security system, and $1,499 for Allstate paint and fabric protection. I asked to remove them, especially since Mike had promised that was possible. The response? Since the vehicle was "priced so low," they had to make it up with these extras. In other words, they would not remove a single add-on, despite what I was told. Trying to compromise, I offered to keep two of the add-ons if they could bring the total down to $2,000. The manager flat-out refused and said "no deal." So after all the time, gas, and effort--plus bringing my kids along--I had to walk away empty-handed because of classic bait-and-switch tactics. The kicker? Just a few days later, I received a call from Jerry, their Internet Sales Manager, offering the add-ons for the $2,000 I had originally proposed. But by then, it was too late--I had already bought a 2024 Hyundai Palisade from AutoNation Hyundai Valencia without any of the dealer games or extra fees. To top it all off, I noticed that Carson Hyundai has since raised the price of the vehicle to $40,998, likely to give themselves more "wiggle room" for negotiations while still forcing those same inflated add-ons. If you're looking for an honest, transparent buying experience, I would highly recommend steering clear of Carson Hyundai. It's a shame they don't honor their word, especially when families like mine are making serious buying decisions based on what they're told over the phone. Be cautious and don't fall for the low-price bait! Instead, buy from AutoNation Hyundai Valencia and ask for Roger! He made the process smooth, honest, and stress-free.

    Not a good visit on July 27, 2025. We have been looking for an ev car for a couple weeks now. Then we came across the nationwide deal from Hyundai. Searched around San Diego and Los Angeles, and we found a dealership that was willing to work with us(supposedly). This dealership is the Hyundai in Carson. Text messages between my brother-in-law, Darlene, & Juan, a "sales manager", happened and did a handshake deal thru text and call. Images attached. $2000 downpayment and $279/month + taxes for the Ioniq 9 SE in gray. Me and my family were excited. This was on July 26. We agreed to meet with Juan on the morning of July 27, since we're coming from Oceanside and we wouldn't make it there before their closing time. We got there at 9:55am on Sunday, July 27 and we were greeted nicely by Josh. He was really nice. While waiting for Juan, we did another test drive. When we came back, we finally met with Juan. However, this is when it started to go downhill as far as our experience went. We confirmed to him again the deal that he and my brother-in-law had agreed to, and he still said "Yup!". When he brought the paperwork, it didn't reflect at all what was discussed. The pricing jumped to $468/month. The pricing was not based on the $279 anymore, which was what made us drive all the way from San Diego. We explained to him that this was not what we had talked about, so he went back to what I assume is the sales room, and he later came back with another quote. It's now at $425/month, still not even close to what was the deal that made us drive 1 hour and half for it. It looked like they were adding fees into the pricing. So we asked for Juan's manager, and Shawn(or Sean) came out. We tried to discuss with him the situation, but he kept denying it. At the end of all this, we were told to go "Fuck Off". Juan was a witness to it too. Upper management needs to look into how they operate this dealership. You can even see from other reviews before me of almost similar negative experience.

She set expectations properly and followed through on everything discussed. When I came in, Arlene personally introduced me to Rob, her partner, who took the time to walk me through the vehicle and even accompanied me to an independent pre-purchase inspection. There was no pressure at any point, and the process felt collaborative rather than transactional. After the inspection, we returned and the dealership honored everything exactly as discussed. They also took care of several items noted on the PPI report, which really demonstrated their integrity and willingness to stand behind the vehicle. There were no surprises or last-minute changes. I then worked with Gary in finance, and that experience was equally smooth and professional. Everything was handled efficiently, clearly, and with a high level of integrity. They even went above and beyond by ultimately beating my credit union's rate, which I genuinely did not expect. I'll be honest--I was a bit nervous going into a new dealership--but they completely proved me wrong. From sales to inspection to finance, the service was consistent, professional, and high-integrity from top to bottom. I would absolutely recommend working with Arlene, Rob, and Gary if you're looking for a straightforward, respectful, and well-run buying experience.

    The way I have been treated as a Honda customer who has purchased or leased four Honda vehicles…read moreback to back is appalling. First, by the service manager at the dealer, then by the case manager who was handling my complaint. I waited 22 minutes at the service entrance without anyone checking me in. When I mentioned that to the service manager, he gave me a cold one word response: "Ok". With a tone that screamed, "...Fuck you, so what are you complaining about". I left the dealership two hours later with them saying they were unable to complete the recall service. This is despite having an appointment for the SAFETY recall. See attached note. I was also told that I can come back another day and that they might need up to 2 (TWO) days, that "it just depends". I was there for a SAFETY Recall for my 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD. The two letters I received from American Honda company regarding the SAFETY recall both state that it might take "up to approximately two hours". I can understand two hours turning into four hours. But two days!!!!!??? So, I called the 800 number in the recall letter and started a complaint. Case # 16370529. The case manager who called me in response to my complain was equally cold and told me that I would have to "work it out with the dealer" and "that you always have the option to go to another Honda dealer"! I told her that she didn't empathize or understand my frustration and did nothing to solve my problem. Then she said "what would like me to do to help you?". I said that you can help try to get my service completed in one day. She said "That is up to the dealership", "I can't help you". Btw, the case manager's tone was as bad as the Service Manager. She reminded me that I have to option to try another Honda dealer. Wake up HONDA! Because, here is the reality. .... WHAT I REALLY HAVE IS THE OPTION TO GO TO ANOTHER CAR COMPANY!! I do not give my money to companies who treat their customers like a piece of garbage! Lastly, thank you HONDA. You just crushed the loyalty of a long time HONDA customer. Guess how many HONDA vehicles I will be buying or leasing in the future? Exactly.
