One of the things she enjoys most is watching it being freshly mixed on the frozen stone. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment. There was only one person working at the front counter. He finished preparing the ice cream in just a few seconds, which immediately made us question whether all of the ingredients had been added. My sister politely asked if everything was included, and he simply replied, "Yes." When she looked at the ice cream and took a bite, it was obvious that several ingredients were missing, especially the brownies, which are one of the signature ingredients in the Founder's Favorite. We politely brought it to his attention, but instead of listening or checking, he seemed annoyed that we even asked. His responses were short, dismissive, and it felt like he just wanted us to leave. My sister then asked if he could add a little hot fudge. He said it would cost an additional $2.00, and I told him that was perfectly fine. However, he added what was barely a drop of hot fudge. When my sister asked if that was all, he replied, "Yes. That's it." His attitude throughout the interaction was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer service. When I asked if I could speak with the owner or manager, he responded, "I am the owner." Based on his behavior, it was very difficult to believe he was the owner. He acted more like someone who simply didn't care about the customers or the business. He started walking away and we couldn't believe his attitude. We didn't mind paying extra--we simply wanted the product we ordered and to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Instead, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. After driving 30 minutes to visit this location, this was not the experience we expected. We won't be returning, and I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so that other customers don't leave feeling the way we did. If he is the owner, the company should take it from him.

You can see an image of beautiful cake on their website and the very plain cake we received. $72 for an ice cream cake is an extravagant price, but the decorations as advertised make it quite a show stopper. $72 for what they delivered, bare of adornment and less decorated than a Giant freezer cake is an insult. You probably care about how your cake looks when you present it at a party. Sarah's definitely does not care about how your cake looks. We also placed it days in advance as they advised they are busy and they prepare them to order. This is good, particularly as anyone with a freezer knows, stuff dries out in there. We got a text it was ready three days before the event. When we asked the manager about that, we got a shrug and a "we get busy." You want to make an ice cream cake close to the time it is served if you care about texture and don't want it to dry out. Sarah's definitely does not care about the texture. At this point, you may be one of those people who says..."wait, this is mean. You should give the business a chance to respond." I agree! That is why we brought it up with the person who gave us the cake, pointing out it looks NOTHING like what they advertise on the web site. He responded dismissively basically "yeah, we hear that a lot." Sarah's definitely doesn't care about consumer feedback. We were given a business card to contact someone in corporate, did so and never heard back. If they respond to this review, keep in mind that is for PR purposes because they don't respond to direct outreach. You would hope a small business would care about its customers, or at the very least, its reputation in the community. Sarah's definitely doesn't care about how its customers feel about their products. In sum, go if you like the very mid ice cream, go if you want to get bait-and-switched on an outrageously priced cake or go if you are in the neighborhood. Or don't go. Sarah's definitely doesn't care.

The ice cream was of course high quality, and the flavors for the Basque cheesecake and Key Lime were spot on. But I will also put in a plug for local ice cream parlors in the area... also quite good and deserving of your business as well. Try them all!

I've had ice cream before like most people, but there's something special here. It's creamy, sweet, and fresh dairy. Their complementary waffle is the icing on top. The sticks can be covered with 2 or more toppings followed by a drizzle of chocolate, caramel or strawberry. The only tricky part is that the dip cools down very quickly.
