Located by the Hercules Waterfront, Hōm Coffee is a new cafe offering cool pastries and coffee/tea. The interior has plenty of seating for people to chill and study. Noticed how there were plenty of wall plugs as well! I liked the concept on how it was located below the new apartments and could definitely see this hidden area becoming more bustling as establishments open. I will say though I was disappointed with their Strawberry matcha...I know matcha is in, but the matcha I had here tasted really off and very sour ? It was also quite expensive at $9-$10. I liked the freeze dried strawberries and strawberry foam, but the matcha wasn't made well. Presentation wise though it was gorgeous. I think I'd have to give this place another try in the future and order their coffee.

Ok, Hercules! I see you! HŌM is a new coffee spot located next to Dream Bowlz by the waterfront. A beautiful and spacious spot with incredibly friendly staff and delicious offerings. Someone ordered a pistachio latte ahead of me in line which sounded delightful, but I wanted to try something trending..an iced banana puree matcha! It's been on my list for a while now, and the staff walked me through their fun matcha menu. The matcha came with what tasted like a banana nut bread topping (see pics), and I was pleasantly surprised that banana matchas are the jam! They also have sweet and savory treats ~ I ordered a ham/cheese croissant that was warmed and served on a plate, and a chocolate chip muffin. Both items were so good, wondering where they are made! There were families and also a lot of laptops inside creating a nice mix and flow of patrons. Would def come back to do some co-working soon. Parking available outside, quick drink turnaround. Cant wait to try a coffee drink next and other yummy brekky treats!

I come here when I need to get away and indulge in a good work session with tasty drinks and yummy snacks. Hōm is a spacious cafe with high ceilings, various seats, and a lovely community atmosphere. I typically come here for matcha, with my favorite having to be the matcha latte with ube syrup and (in recent days) the seasonal mango coconut matcha latte. The drinks here have rich flavor and a nice little Filipino twist to them. I've also enjoyed some of the pastries they offer in cafe (especially the ensaymada)! Every time I pay a visit, staff are so friendly and full of life! I love sitting around and seeing them interact with cafe visitors -- they truly are integrated into the community and it's a fresh of breath air to see staff and customers share space and engage the way they do at Hōm!

Finally! A good coffee shop in Hercules! I mean consistently good,so far. A couple months ago my hubby stopped in at the soft opening and didn't get a good latte. But we've been going back since it actually opened and have had good lattes, chai, and scones. Part of their business model is, no tipping. The prices reflect it but that is fine. The service has been friendly and good. It's great to see people come here to hang out or work. Yay! One piece of feedback. There really is no need to pipe music outside. Kind of gets in the way of a conversation or just enjoying sitting outside. Thank you, that's all.

Went here today on 6/19 around 10:20am. We got here and it was two people working the guy and the girl. We were standing there for a good time and they saw us but chose not to even greet us. I know they were just making drinks, BUT in any customer service industry, they could have said something along the lines of "hi. We will be with you shortly." Nothing like that. It was awkward just standing there while they walked by and were with in eye view. I think they need to be trained on having better customer service. This is what could make or break a return back to this place. When he did finally come up to take our order he said sorry for the wait, but we had already formed our opinion based on the 10min waiting. I wouldn't have minded the wait had we been acknowledged. He could have said something to us while they were making someone's coffee and matcha. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk. Hubby got a cold brew with oat milk. When it was hubby's time to order he asked if they had oat milk. The guy snickered because I'm sure he didn't want to say anything smart. The reason for that is because I feel that in his head he was thinking "your wife asked for oat milk in hers. Did you not hear?" Because what would the reason be for doing that? Granted when I heard the hubby ask that, in my head I was like hello I did ask for that too. Lol but this isn't about him. It's about the attitude and lack of professionalism these two had. The music just got turned on which it was not earlier which made it more awkward. To be fair, the matcha was good thank goodness. The sourdough muffin was great as well which makes up for the crappy service. I would like to say we will be back, but after today not sure. We just met the owner and he's super nice. So this has nothing to do against the shop or the owners. This review is solely for the two here before the owners arrived.

Staff is friendly and polite. The filipino ensaymada is tasty. Cold brew is cold brew--not bad, as expected. Blueberry muffin was good but couldve used more blueberries. .. but the restroom? So clean. Handsoap? Good. Toilet paper? Not bad. Paper towels? Ok. Overall 9/10 restroom.

New Kid on the Block Hercules' Bay Front Coffee Spot I stopped by Hercules' new coffee shop on the Bay Front really early after my run. The staff were incredibly friendly! I had my dog with me, and while pets aren't allowed inside, one of the team members offered to hold his leash outside so I could place my order and they'd bring it out to me. I really appreciated that they went out of their way to accommodate me instead of losing my business. I tried the strawberry latte with oat milk. It was delicious, though I would have liked it a bit stronger. Overall, it's wonderful to see more options popping up in our small town, and I'm excited to come back and try more!

Welcome HŌM! We certainly felt like home in Hercules' spacious, classy, down to earth new coffee shop. It definitely filled a gap that the community needed. Upon entrance, there's a beautiful diverse community mural, ample seating, a bar of tasty looking pastries and welcoming baristas. Love how they have Gregory's Underground Bakery cheesecake/pies on the menu. I used to work and live in Oakland and that was my sweet tooth stop after lunch! We ordered some hot caffeinated beverages, cinnamon roll, blueberry cheesecake, and a sourdough muffin. Beverages arrived topped with cute designs. We enjoyed them in the living room style area with a comfortable posh couch and arm chairs. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, Stan and Christine, who are lovely people! They were kind enough to give my brother an affogato for his birthday and my toddler a Mike's bite mini croissant - on the house. Their official grand opening is 3/28 so if you haven't already, stop by this wonderful homey cafe- it has a ton of promise for THE hangout spot for locals and visitors.

Another Five Star review on Hom Coffee after a few weeks trying this place and my last review. This place really deserve a five star reviewing due to customer service, nice place, and how much people come together to have a good time. Yes it can be hard to find parking near the place but it is worth the walk to come inside Hom Coffee. I do suggest parking on the street but try not to park on the red or green zone because Hercules Police do tend to come around the block. I been coming to Hom Coffee to escape sleeping in and also to find a place to relax during my days off from work. I tend to review places I go to on Yelp and Hom Coffee is a place that I check in a lot. I want Hom Coffee to be a success in Hercules where Yelp Events and Coffee Meet and Greet occur here. This is a great place to meet people in Hercules.

Came here twice. Yesterday we came too early and today too late. The folks at HŌM coffee were super nice and served us anyways. We got cold brews and Ube Tres Leche cake. Both were exceptionally great. Next time? Can't wait to try their Cortado.

This city needed this place! Such a cozy spot to meet for meetings, catch up w/ friends or be productive & get work done. They have a great selection of pastries & their coffee is delicious-- the baristas seem to really care about quality when pushing out orders. We luv that! Love coming here as my new local coffee spot :)

Delicious!! Service was relaxed and warm. Strawberry matcha was delicious! Matcha is good quality. Cold brew is made in house. Great vibes inside, and cool wireless chargers. A cute spot to grab a coffee and study!

First time trying this place, I ordered a strawberry matcha and banana matcha! Overall the matcha was very grainy/chalky, as seen in the picture, and also quite bitter. Definitely does not reflect the price :( Had high hopes because of the close location and other reviews, but sadly disappointed!

Are they dog friendly? I go for a walk here and would love to grab a coffee before my walk with my dog.

To bring inside unfortunately no, I tried to bring my dog and he was not allowed in. There are benches and chairs outside to enjoy your coffee with your dog.

There were three staff members in total (thin build, Latino male), medium build Filipino female with glasses, and a thin build Asian female). The male was working on an in person order when I walked in, seven to ten minutes later the same woman was standing around waiting for parts of her order - no other in person customer was being assisted. A young woman, who had placed an online order for two coffee drinks asked repeatedly if anyone was going to make her drink order. It took two staff members - Asian female, Latino male) - to help figure it out, each debating who was going to make it. The Filipino female kept coming from the back to bring sandwich items to seated waiting customers. The male continued to look at online orders before helping the family of three in front of me. When their order was finalized, the male walked away from the register and proceeded to look at the online orders. He said nothing to the line, did not acknowledge our presence. He went to the back to make a sandwich - again two staff members working on one thing (Filipino female, Latino male) while in person customers stood and waited. The Filipino female asked what him what was in the bag while standing at the front of the store. The other Asian female was still working on the coffee drinks from the online order from when I first walked in. After about ten minutes of being walked by and disregarded, while waiting to be acknowledged, I asked is anyone going to take our orders at the counter? The male replied, "Yes, but we have a lot of online orders and we'll get to you shortly." So online orders take precedent over those waiting in store to purchase? If this is the case, then why are there only three staff members who are clearly not organized nor serve in the capacity of enough staff to assist customers online and in person? If I had not asked about being helped, no telling how long staff would had continued to ignore us. The Filipino female walked over, asked how my day was and asked what she could get me. After each donut selection shared, anything else?... She was being passive aggressive in her tone and with her words. As I was waiting to select my receipt options, she saiid, "All of that for two donuts" to the male. Who both went into the back while the rest of the building line waited. When I finished my receipt selection and entering my phone number, the father and son behind me were still waiting without any assistance or staff acknowledgement.. If I had not promised my daughter a donut prior to order road trip, I would have left long before. Worse service as it was nonexistent to those in person. There were three staff, two were doing staff and the third at the front was nonexistent. Do better Dynamite, your customer service was absent yesterday, staff not at all prepared or organized and your store is not staffed to assist both online and in person without neglecting in person. Communication was nonexistent as well, leaving customers standing in line without a single word or thought of returning any time soon. Online orders, you'll be waiting too. There were three people who walked in, going directly the register with a phone in their hands. They were waiting two for the pickup while the young lady wanted her coffees made. The ambiance here...people were upset across the board. I would rather drive to Pinole and get service, Dynamite donuts are not worth that wait or nonexistent level of service.
