If I could begin my day this way every morning, I most certainly would! I dropped my daughter off to school, took my car in for an estimate and on the way home I decided I wanted a smile in a cup so I placed a mobile order. If you've never been to the Willow Shopping Center in Hercules, CA, it's conveniently located off the freeway in the Sacramento direction or two stops off the freeway coming from Walnut Creek. It's surrounded by BK, 76, a nail shop... The parking lot is a decent size based on the number of shops there are. There is parking directly in front of Starbucks which was open, surprisingly, so I occupied one. As soon as I open the door of Starbucks, a beautiful sea of faces looked at me looking similar to mine (a rainbow of brown and black). In unison, 'Good morning! Welcome in.' With so much joy and melody in their voices and tone. I just smiled. Unfortunately, I believe I forgot my manners and neglected to say thank you to beauties who greeted me. I apologize to them if I did. My drink was ready when I arrived, grouped into 3 sections of the alphabet. I thanked the person behind the coffee bar, grabbed a straw and said have a good day to the now dispersed group who initially welcomed me in. I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the kindness their hello and the warmth of their smiles. It is easy to acknowledge your negatives of a location. To acknowledge your gratitude for such extraordinary customer service is just as easy yet not so often shared. So thank you the crew you welcomed Angie in today around 9:30am with the iced espresso shaken with chai. You are so very much appreciated. Monday through Friday, the service is excellent. Maggie, Nadia, and Lisa are always friendly, and the drinks are consistently made well. Unfortunately, my experiences on Saturdays and Sundays have been very different. The weekend staff often seem less experienced, and my drinks are frequently made incorrectly. I've had to return several drinks over time and have even thrown some away because I didn't want to make another trip back. If you're looking for consistent quality and service, I highly recommend visiting during the weekdays. read more

Remodel since the last time I did a review on this location. Sad part is that they only have one restroom and you need to code to use it. The place became smaller. A busy Starbucks with plenty of orders. The drive thru can be a nightmare when you don't want to get out of the car. It can be a long wait to get your order and there can be rude people pushing you out of the way to get their order. Why am I giving Starbucks four stars? When I order my drink through the app and got there I was shocked to find out that my drink was stolen. I hate that I even have to do this right now, but this Starbucks left me no choice. How do you mess up the most basic drink on your entire menu TWO DAYS IN A ROW? I ordered an iced vanilla latte, literally the simplest drink at Starbucks, and they still managed to screw it up. Day 1: iced latte, no vanilla. Day 2: I went inside so they couldn't get it wrong again, and they basically handed me a cup of milk. You know when you see the color of it and know irs already bad? Unfortunately this is the closest Starbucks to me and if I order delivery it always comes from here and they get my drink wrong 80% of the time. Even if I go in person they get the drink wrong. And all I order is a Cafe Mocha. It's usually a white mocha or a caffe latte instead that they make. For some reason this store doesn't know their own drinks. They refuse redelivery for online orders. And I have to drive to the other Hercules location to get my drink correctly made. It sucks that if I order delivery, on days that I can't drive, that I cannot choose a better store that knows what they are doing. This location needs to do better. They have 2.5 stars which is the lowest for Starbucks I've ever seen in my area. I don't order from here often but sometimes I like to think maybe they've improved. But no they don't improve. I was short on time thought I would give this place another chance and it's horrible. My breakfast sandwich was undercooked. The worst part about this place is the lack of service. They had five girls on duty. They all act busy ignore you at the counter. They didn't even have any hot coffee ready. One of the girls was training someone I did get a hello when I walked in the door, but they went right back to ignore mode, I got ignored the second time when I was trying to ask for a bathroom code there's barely any room inside. This location is horrible. I counted about 10 employees and it was a complete shxt show. I came this morning around 10ish for two shaken espressos I waited 15 minutes... ok fine but I expected my drink to at least be decent. Nope. Person who took my order didn't take it correctly, person who made our drinks made it horribly.... Espresso tasted bad like it was not pulled correctly and the milk ratio was too much. Today we ordered: -Salted Caramel Cream cold brew. This is one of the new drinks that is often advertised. I'm too obsessed with the seasonal pumpkin cream cold brew, so to me, any other cold brew just tastes like it missing something. Though this isn't bad. -Brown Sugar Oatmilk Espresso. If you've tried a brown sugar boba drink before, it has a distinct taste. I thought this would be similar, though it just tastes like a regular iced coffee. I like how this already comes with oatmilk , because I always forget to order milk alternatives. Also not a bad drink, probably would order again. -Caramel Frappuccino. A classic, can't go wrong with this if you like sweet drinks. -Cake pops. There's something about Starbucks cake pops that I can't resist. We went through the drive-thru a little before 2pm, and luckily it wasn't too busy. Because of the plaza's layout, there could easily be traffic jams since Starbucks and Burger King's drive-thrus are right next to each other. Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. The experience was unreal. We mobile ordered 3 drinks and had something wrong with all of them, and only one had modifications. My sister ordered a macadamia cold brew and they put the wrong syrup. My niece ordered a drink with boba and they put the wrong lid on so the boba straw didn't fit. I got a vanilla cream cold brew with light ice. It was so light in color - it didn't look like there was any coffee in it. I just ordered a double shot to add to my drink and was able to go back in to get the lid switched for my niece's drink, but then I came to realize how bad the service was. The employees seemed like zombies, and not even in a maybe they had smoked a bowl way. lol read more

Being on keto, Starbucks is a lifesaver when I'm having a sugar craving. If you've ordered keto drinks at Starbucks, you're infamous for being that annoying customer with the complicated order. Thankfully I've never had a bad experience at this location and they've always been super friendly towards me. With the pandemic going on, drive thru is the only option at the moment. I've been here a couple times since the sheltering in place, and I must admit the service is slow but I can't really complain because of the situation we're in. Especially during a really hot day the line can get extremely long and can go all the way back to the Burger King parking lot. So just be prepared to wait. Most of the time, not sweet enough or lacking coffee in my drink but this place is so close to the freeway and close to my families place! Come on now...get it right all the time! The best feature of this place is they have a drive-thru... it's rare to have one in a Starbucks but this drive-thru is slow so I mainly go inside! Stopped by Starbucks for a simple order of a white hot chocolate, made with oatmilk and no whip cream, a very simple drink. Let me start by saying that the lady at the window was nice and polite. Two stars because the staff is friendly but this has to be the slowest starbucks for miles even though they had 6 people working behind the counter and they were not busy! There was also a person who was not in uniform behind counter distracting the employees while she chatted away. Where was the shift supervisor to tell her that she needs to not be there? I did a mobile app order from my car for a non-fat latte and a Danish. 5 mins past the estimated time for the order to be ready (so 20 mins after the order is placed)- I walk in to see no drink or Danish in the mobile order space. Stood there waiting to make eye contact with anyone behind the counter- nope! No eye contact. Finally, spoke up and asked about my order. The drink was sitting in the drive thru area. The guy handed me my drink. I asked for my Danish and he yells to the Cashier about it. After some back and forth- the cashier puts the Danish in the oven to be warmed. 30 mins after I placed my order- I have my coffee and Danish. I would not come here if I was in a hurry or on my way to work. They need a shift supervisor to keep them on task!! read more
