Hands up and down, this diner was FANTASTIC! Was visiting family in the area and used to drive past this diner many times. This visit my wife and I stopped in for some breakfast. I must say the food is just like having breakfast at home. The corned beef hash was delicious, eggs perfect. Any diner that can serve food like this will last for years to come. And we love the French Fries, perfectly cooked, not over fried and greasy. If breakfast is this excellent, I can only imagine lunch and dinner which I'll do my next visit up there. read more

GOOD DINER! I have gotten Turkey Burgers from here and they are always good. Also, the Lamb Burgers are phenomenal (I don't believe they are a daily item). What a shame. I remember this place way back when when it was really good. We would always stop on our way up to our cabin and then on our way (1980's) I was very surprised however how lousy it was. Come on, omelettes or home fries is a given at a diner. I got the fried chicken dinner. Don't ask me why but I was craving fried chicken. I didn't expect much cause I know it's the frozen stuff. My husband got the Irish Benny.. The hollandaise sauce didn't even pass the look tase. The potatoes were dry, and tasteless. So disappointing. This place is our go-too. Waitresses there are very sweet and the management is great too. I love their Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Sweet Potatoe Fries. Their Mexican Burger, Pancakes, Breakfast Sandwiches, Potato Skins, Salads, Chicken Parm...all great! And it's open all day and all night. Love it! After another hiatus away from here, i found myself back with some friends (they wanted to go). Now THIS will definitely be my last visit, for sure. I sincerely don't get all of these positive reviews. I'm sure they were solicited, as I know they do that. But, the prices have soared upwards to the point where I don't know how people can afford to eat there. The atmosphere is like walking through the Village of the Damned. What happened to the bright and cheerful waitstaff like Paulie, or my favorite waitress, Tammy? And that other blonde with the ponytail? The grouchy old man with his angry face is still there. Worst of all, the once delicious food is not so much anymore. Are there new owners? I highly recommend skipping this money pit and go to the Red Line on route nine. Omg soo good here : quality of food, quantity, atmosphere AND service all 5 star! Being a trucker they have plenty of parking. Samantha was a doll. Visiting from NYC, I can't believe for $9 you can get a stack of 3 perfect, golden pancakes, as big as your head, heaped with whipped cream and strawberries, for only $9. I felt like I died and went to heaven, the pancakes were so good. All the portions are amazing, and the service was lovely. I wish I lived closer, I would go every week. I-84 diner is a hidden gem, especially compared to a lot of the fancier places that were recommended for my Hudson Valley hiking trip. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

My Benedict sauce was OBVIOUSLY powder mix. Which doctored with a little Tabasco was not bad. However, being that the meal is $14 they need to be making fresh sauce. Wait staff was okay. I usually have a good experience, but tonight not so much. Ordered online and when I show up a waitress name Brianna tells me they didn't have the cake I ordered and when I asked what happens if I already paid because I didn't want anything else she rudely said, "you're just going to have to pick what we got." I was seconds from snapping but was just caught off guard. Phone started ringing and manager asked her to take the order and she again was rude to the caller and rolled her eyes at the manager. Brianna, you're in the wrong business. I understand having a bad day, but you can't be rude. Food wasn't bad. Not sure how I feel about going back. We went to the I-84 this morning with friends, ordered the biscuits and gravy (normally they're pretty good) and it was disgusting. The biscuits were old and looked like they were fried in grease (have no idea why you'd do that except that they were leftover from something else). I honestly think that they scraped the grill for the few pieces of burned sausage in the gravy. Im feeling sick to my stomach now. Great way to loose customers. Great meeting place for family and friends since the place does get crowded but the parking lot is huge and never a problem for parking...the food and service is A+ for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good, consistent food. Great soup and fajitas. We've been coming here for almost twenty years and never been disappointed. Their Greek specialties like moussaka and pastitsio are excellent. The matzoh ball soup is the best there is - my husband picks some up for me if I have a cold! They have a spectacular dessert display. My friend had lamb burgers and I had beef nachos. His lamb burgers were cooked just right (medium well) and were very lean. He has a very sensitive stomach and can not tolerate fatty foods (read most restaurants) and I was amazed he tolerated it very well. The beef nachos was not only delicious but a huge portion. Why must everything be sold separate? I wanted tenders and had to pay so much for that then had to order fries by them selves for almost 10$! Not a good business choice at all! Love a place with wonderful desserts! And it's the first thing you see when you walk in. I had an open-faced Reuben sandwich with coleslaw. Didn't care for the coleslaw, but loved the sandwich, but couldn't eat it all. So we had to take our desserts back to our motel with us. I ordered a Boston Crème Pie (site unseen). Terrible. How on earth does this place has such good reviews ? The food here was absolutely bland and unappetizing to look at. If you like watered down cappucino and food that has no flavor this is your place to go. We ordered the cappucino, chicken panini, tex mex sandwich and chicken wings. The panini was chicken stuffed between bread and a LOT of cheese (and no onions and tomatoes whereas the menu suggested otherwise) to the extent that your mouth would be tired from chewing all that stuff. The tex mex sandwich was absolutely unappetizing to look at. Two big pieces of bread, with a gravy of chiken and beans on it, looked as if someone decided to randomly throw food on the plate. The service wasn't great either. We asked for water at the beginning of lunch, and it took us 4 attempts before we could get some water which arrived when we were ready to leave. I would never visit this place again, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. As mentioned, if you like flavor less expensive food ($61 dollars for 3 cappucino, tex mex sandwich, chicken panini and chicken wings) this is your place to go. read more

They use a driver deliver service called 'doordash'. I used them four times in the past and this time, they took the money off my card and never showed up. I called the diner and was met with a highly defensive owner who was yelling and completely self-entitled. He claimed in broken English that he doesn't use delivery services (even though it's listed on their google as their delivery service and I've used them before) and that it wasn't his problem. He said to call my bank or the police if I had a problem. This is how disabled people are treated by a self-righteous, arrogant owner who has no empathy or capacity for his patrons (now ex-patron). Taking money off someone's debit card without providing a service is called 'Theft'. The local police department agreed. read more

This used to be one of our favorite places to go. Now the have steadily raised their prices over the last several months. The up charge for EVERY little thing now. I understand charging for certain things but last night we were charged $1 for 2 extra pickles!! REALLY! We usually get a plate of extra pickles at no charge but last night we were charged for 2! Also $8.99 for an order of fries with gravy is a bit excessive. We will not be heading there anymore. Red Line Diner is right up the road & just as good but WITHOUT all the extra charges. read more
