My favorite fried chicken spot! For the longest time I was a Kokos girl but once I discovered this spot I was hooked. The lemon pepper curry wings are a must! We also tried the honey rap and mala one as well, both are very delicious. The mala one is very unique and quite spicy if you love spice. These wings are huge and juicy, packed with so much flavor. Sometimes I will be craving this even though I had it the previous week haha. It's that good. What's a must with these wings is the spicy carbonara tteokbokki. It's like a rose tteokbokki but more bacon forward flavor. Soooo delicious and addicting. Pairs very well with the crisp to perfection wings. Service is good and the vibes are great! This one was a tough one... I really wanted it to be 5/5 stars, but I think I'm sticking with 4/5 stars on this one. Let me elaborate. The restaurant itself is kind of small. When we got there at 5 pm, almost all the tables were already full. We were able to get the small table where you sit down on some cushions to eat. They have this unique seating area in the back by the bathroom near the kitchen. Check it out. We ordered the honey soy chicken plate with rice. They fry chicken thighs for that one and gave a decent amount of chicken. The sides were ok. Probably not my preference. We also got the 8 piece seaweed fried chicken and the honey soy chicken. The chicken here are big and moist. Very juicy and very good. The seaweed one is very unique and I really like that one. A lot of umami flavor. However, what made it a 4 star place for me was that the server never really checked up on us at all. Didn't come by to ask how things were or anything. Also, the price is quite high for what it is. $20 for 8 pieces of wings isn't cheap. The two items with tax and tip was over $40 and I think we all still left not quite full. My boyfriend and I tried this place after seeing it for a while and we decided to go on a weekend afternoon. There was no wait to be seated and there were already a few people there. We decided to order the billboard top 3, the tnt poppin chicken, and the spicy ramyeon powder fries. The fries came out first and it was so good! It was like shin ramen powder ontop of warm crunchy fries. The billboard top 3 came out and we tried each chicken and we unfortunately didn't enjoy it as much as the fries. The poppin chicken also came out and we didn't enjoy it either. The only thing we really enjoyed was the fries which was a bit disheartening for us. All of the chicken was super crunchy and juicy but lacked a bit more seasoning :( The chicken would have gone perfectly well with something like pickled radish or ranch but we didn't get ranch until the end of our meal (I did ask for ranch after we did get our last item) and it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu either. The billboard top 3 - had 3 different flavors: original, seaweed, and ginger. The original needed a bit more salt as we couldn't taste anything. The seaweed was a bit better as it was supposed to be salty but still felt underwhelming. The ginger tasted like ginger but if you're not a ginger lover, its hard to eat through it without the ginger being too overwhelming. :c The tnt poppin chicken - felt really underwhelming possibly from the fact that we did eat this after the fries (which again, was really good) but the description of the tnt made it seem like it would be spicy which it was not at all :( The spicy ramyeon powder fries - best thing we had on the menu. It seemed like only one person was working the tables so we understood he could only do so much at a time. The menu we got was made up of old record sleeves + the actual menu pages put together. It was kind of falling apart so it was difficult to flip through but I did appreciate the aesthetic. We got the loaded samba fries which were soooooo delicious. I would definitely get them again. It was a pretty hefty portion so perfect to share between us two. We also got a split order of the Gim Ballad and Honey Luv Rap chicken. Neither of us were a fan of the Gim Ballad - maybe it's just a personal taste thing but I didn't think chicken and seaweed complimented each other very well. Super addicting! The spicy carbonara tteokbokki was yummy, but I felt that the portion size was a bit small. I did appreciate the additions of mushrooms and broccoli for a lil extra fiber. My favorite flavor of chicken was actually the original pop - super crunchy and nicely flavored. Make sure to ask for sides of mu (Korean radish) to help cut the grease! The server also came by with a free TNT chicken tender for us to try and review because they had updated their recipe. I personally liked it and the heat definitely comes later. Why did I wait so long to try this place? The honey wings, mala wings, and rabokki were sooooo good! The wings were perfectly crispy, the sauces were flavorful without being overpowering, and everything was cooked perfectly. It was seriously delicious. 10/8/25 - We went here on a Wednesday for a very late dinner as they were open until 11 pm. For the 3 of us, we got dishes to share. We ordered the 12 pcs bone-in wings ($26.99) with half Gim Ballad and half Honey Luv Rap. It came with both flats and legs and I was pleasantly surprised by how large each piece was. I prefer dry wings so I especially liked the Gim Ballad which had a unique, seaweed flavor and good crunch to them. I would go back specifically to get Gim Ballad wings again! My friends prefer wet wings and like the Honey Luv Rap more. We also ordered the Rapokki ($11.99) and Loaded Samba Fries ($9.99). I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday around lunchtime. The plaza where I Got My Sound Chicken is located was incredibly busy, so parking was a bit of a hassle. However, fortunately, the actual establishment wasn't too busy, so we were seated almost immediately. The interior is inviting, and the decor creates a fun retro theme. Disco balls hung from the ceiling, different types of radios comprised the counters, and vinyl records lined the walls. FOOD: Wings (4.5/5) - The available flavors were unique, but my friends and I played it safe and got 'original pop' and 'honey luv rap.' The original was alright, but I would recommend trying out other flavors for a more fulfilling experience. The honey flavor was pleasant and a nice balance between savory and sweet. The wings themselves were moist and had a nice crunch. I also noted that our wings were way bigger than I had expected. Rapoki (3.75/5) - The portion of rapoki we received was huge, so we really got a lot of bang for our buck. As a fish cake lover, I appreciated its abundance in the form of large sheets. The rice cakes and ramen also had a nice bouncy texture to them. The thing I wasn't a big fan of was how runny the base broth was; I prefer it thicker. Sweet Potato Fries (3/5) - Tasted like sweet potato fries. Didn't wow me or anything. SERVICE: The service was great at the beginning of the meal when the restaurant was less crowded. Towards the end, when they became busier, it was admittedly a bit difficult to get their attention for the check. However, they were super sweet when we did interact, so no real complaints.
