I've had this spot bookmarked for a while because I'm a big fan of Korean fried chicken and this spot was on the Yelp top eats in the OC list. I ordered the original, red disco, honey luv, and lemon curry pepper tenders. Overall, I thought all the tenders were solid. The red disco and lemon curry pepper tenders were good whereas I was underwhelmed by the original and honey luv flavors--I love when my food is super seasoned and flavorful and I felt that these two flavors lacked that. Flavor wise, I think I enjoyed Korean fried chicken at other spots more. With that being said, I appreciated how all the tenders were decently sized and really crispy! Service here was exceptionally friendly! The server talked us through the menu and shared his recommendations. The store is on the casual side but the vibes here are cool! Overall, this was a good spot but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

First timer! We were nicely greeted by the server and he had some good recommendations. We tried the Red disco chicken and it was sweet and spicy definitely good. We also ordered the Spicy carbonara and it was definitely flavorful. Our last item was the Original Poppin chicken and it was perfectly crispy. This spot has music playing and it has a chill vibe to it. I understand why this place is highly rated. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

I stopped by I Got My Sound Chicken and ordered the Billboard Top 3, which is such a fun option if you want to try a few of their most popular wing flavors without committing to just one. It came with their Gim Ballad (seaweed), ginger, and classic wings, and I also added the Smooth Like Butter Rice on the side. The first thing that stood out was definitely the crunch. The wings had that super satisfying crispy texture that makes Korean fried chicken so good, and each flavor gave a slightly different experience. The Gim Ballad was probably the most unique of the three -- definitely not your standard wing flavor, but fun to try if you want something different. The ginger had a really nice savory flavor, and the classic was simple, crispy, and easy to like. The Smooth Like Butter Rice was also a really good side to pair with everything. It balanced out the wings well and made the whole meal feel a little more complete and comforting. I also liked that the Billboard Top 3 made the meal feel more interactive, especially if you're someone who likes trying different flavors in one order. Overall, this was a fun and satisfying meal with old school ambiance, and I'd come back to try more of the menu.

Hands down the best chicken wings ever! I love the seaweed wings. They are super crunchy and texture wss amazing! The wings are big and super juicy. The servers were super attentive and fast with service! I would recommend to anyone that wants to try new flavors of Korean fried chicken!

If there's one thing that immediately stands out about I Got My Sound Chicken, it's the concept. This place fully commits to its music theme and it's honestly one of the most creative restaurant interiors I've seen in a while. The space is decked out with stereos, vinyl-inspired tables, and even the menu is designed like an album. It feels playful, nostalgic, and definitely makes the dining experience feel more memorable than your typical fried chicken spot. Now let's talk about the star of the show: the chicken. The staff clearly take pride in their crispy texture here, and it absolutely delivers. Each piece is generously breaded and fried to the point where every bite gives you that audible crunch. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seriously satisfying. Honey Luv Rap (5/5) This one felt like the "classic hit single" of the meal. The honey soy garlic flavor was savory, slightly sweet, and incredibly comforting. Crunchy coating and the flavor profile was exceptional, creating a balance of sweet, salty, and umami. Easily my favorite flavor of the night. Red Disco (4/5) A sweet-and-spicy gochujang sauce that brings some heat without being overwhelming. The spice level is definitely noticeable, but it's very manageable and actually elevates the overall flavor of the chicken. If you enjoy a little kick, this one hits a nice balance. Gim Ballad (2.5/5) This was the dish I was most excited to try because the concept sounded so unique: seaweed battered chicken. Visually, it's really interesting since the batter gives the chicken a dark seaweed-like appearance that definitely catches your eye. Unfortunately, flavor-wise it didn't quite land for me. It mostly tasted like plain fried chicken without much seasoning. The presentation was cool, but I wish the seaweed flavor came through more. Rappoki (3/5) The rice cakes had a great texture: soft, chewy, and satisfying! And the fish cakes were tasty as well. My only critique is that the sauce felt a bit thin. I would've preferred a thicker sauce to better coat the rice cakes & ramen and really bring the dish together. Curry Lemon Fries (3/5) The fries themselves were nicely crispy, but I found the lemon flavor to be more dominant than the curry seasoning. A heavier hand with the curry powder would really elevate this dish and balance the flavors better. Overall, the concept and vibe of this place make it a fun dining experience. Even though a few items didn't fully hit the mark flavor-wise, the chicken itself was impressively crunchy and delicious. Between the creative theme and the variety of flavors on the menu, I'd definitely come back to explore more of what they have to offer.

Rating: 8/10 First time trying I Got Sound Chicken. Interior is styled like a Korean pocha with lots of lights and a fun vibe. The space feels lively and casual. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. TNT Wings Probably my favorite flavor of the night. Extremely crispy and packed with flavor. It is very spicy and noticeably oily, so it's a bit heavy and hard to eat too many in one sitting, but still very good. Three-Flavor Combo (Original, Ginger, Seaweed Furikake) All three were solid. The chicken itself was excellent, really crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Each flavor had good seasoning and stood out in its own way, making it a nice option if you want variety. Ramen Tteokbokki Honestly my favorite dish of the meal. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly, and the broth had a really nice balanced spice level. Overall, very solid Korean fried chicken spot with great crispy flavors. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

One of my new favorite korean fried chicken places! I really enjoyed the seaweed wings and the sauce that came with it. The rapoki was also really good and had a kick to it. The yam fries and original wings were also really solid. I appreciate how large the wings are here and how flavorful the breading is. I just wish they would reduce their plastic waste since all the radish, sauces, etc came in tiny plastic to go containers and the waste def adds up.

All the food here is so tasty. The chicken pieces are HUGE. The flavors are odd but they are delish. Def get the fries too we like the anchovies fries. They have more options now with sandwiches and salads. The workers are super nice. The store itself has a beautiful old school feel with lots of older radios and the lighting. It's a cool vibe.

Located in Fullerton, CA is your new go to fried chicken spot! Known for its crispy chicken, this place offers a variety of delicious flavors like the Gim Ballad and Ginger Infused Chicken. We also got the Squid Tteokboki which was huge! The tteok was soft and pillowy and super flavorful! My favorite was the Gim Ballad and Lemon Pepper Curry wings! Check them out if you're in the area!

    Only 6 radish :(

Got 12 pieces of the original and spicy. I preferred the spicy on its own, but the original came with this sauce - oh my lord. I saved a cup to make a dish with it. The chicken was crunchy and well-fried. Service was fast, and I enjoyed looking at the interior. I do wish they gave me more radish; 6 pieces was a bit scant. Another quick note for management: the menu book features a blatant example of Hollywood yellowface, a white woman masquerading as a Japanese person. Given that this is a Korean establishment, it is both ironic and ignorant to have such a glaring example of Anti-Asian sentiment on display. I strongly urge the removal of this offensive imagery, as it reflects poorly on the Korean community for not being aware of American history.

Mala Gala was perfect combo of Mala flavors without being overpowering. It was a good amount of spice and not a lot of numbing. Honey Luv Rap was juicy and crispy. The honey flavor isn't too strong and k would definitely get it again. Spicy ramyeon fries came out freshly fried and perfectly crispy. The seasoning on it was per

3.5 stars: Really cool theme around sound but the chicken is heavily breaded (-1 star) and only the wings are not dry. The decor is really cool as their tables looks like a vinyl record, the takeout box looks like a retro radio, and the menu looks like flipping through an album. Their wall is also full of retro radios and vinyl and I love that they have disco balls too! Since it was our first time here, we tried the: 1. Jackson 5 set ($17.99): - 5 chicken tenders in 5 flavors: anchovy (6/10), samba (8.5/10), leng saeb (8.5/10), ranch (7.5/10), & red disco (7.5/10) 2. Billboard top 3 ($17.99): - 6 pc wings in 3 flavors: gim ballad (aka seaweed, 7.5/10), ginger (3/10), & classic (7/10) - Even though they advertise 6 wings, we actually recieved 3 wings and 3 (heavily breaded) drumsticks 3. Popcorn chicken: 7/10, it seems the overall theme is heavy breading on the chicken so the popcorn chicken and tenders are dry, but the wings are significantly moist. Drink options: - Sapporo Beer on tap - Cass beer - soju -La Croix - lemonade - matcha makgeolli - peach iced tea Parking: large shared lot (it is a walk because the restaurant is located in the round about) -0.5 stars because the workers didn't pay attention to details: They gave us a water pitcher that had chicken sauce stains all over it and we also saw them seat a table of 5 in a small table even though over half the restaurant was empty.

This place is so cute! Music-themed decorations with great music and service. The wait was a bit long since the place was pretty crowded, but the servers were super nice and tried to get us a table quickly. We got an order of Gim Ballad wings, Lemon Curry Pepper wings, and Smooth Like Butter Rice. The wings are huge! All dishes are delicious. We will definitely come back to try more on the menu.

The seafood pancake was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Crispy on the outside, packed with seafood, and not overly greasy. You still get that soft, savory inside with the green onion flavor coming through, and it pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. The tofu soup came out boiling hot like it should, with a deep, comforting broth that had real flavor instead of just spice. The tofu was silky, the portion was generous, and it's the kind of dish that makes you slow down for a second because it's so satisfying. The galbi was the standout for me. Super tender, well marinated, and grilled with that slight char that gives it the smoky sweetness. It didn't need anything extra, but wrapping it with the banchan and rice made it even better. Speaking of banchan, they were fresh and kept coming without us having to ask. Service was quick and the food came out fast even though the place was busy. The whole restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe and feels like a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a late night meal. Everything we ordered was solid and I'd come back specifically for the galbi and tofu soup again. Fullerton has a lot of options but this one is definitely worth putting into the regular rotation.
