this for sure hits the spot. i ordered the salmon, tuna ginger and the tako wasabi. I love the tako wasabi one the best bec it delivered the best flavor. It is raw octopus but its so good. I had three and its a good amount and to feel full. will def be back to try other toppings. so worth the hype

Stopped by to grab a quick dinner, and these yubus hit the spot! The salmon and tuna were yummy, and each one had their own unique flavor. The inside was clean and they made them fairly quickly despite a line out the door.

Located in a small plaza. Keep in mind that there isnt alot of parking and this placeis very popular! I was excited to try this place out and it didn't disappoint. Got most of their selections. My fav was the seared salom one for sure and least favorite was Bulgogi just because it tasted like normal Bulgogi that I would prefer not in yubuchobap. Overall a pretty solid place, as it is popular not sure if you could find seating. So expect to eat this on the go!

Solid food! Thought some were way too sweet because of the sauces/mayo paired with the semi-sweet tofu skin. I honestly just rather have fresh sushi. There are loooong lines on the weekend so just be aware! I had to park across the street at the Target bc how full the lot was. This feels like more of a takeout place than a sit down restaurant.

I found Atoyubu while browsing Yelp and decided to check it out. I probably wouldn't have discovered it on my own because it's tucked away in a very small plaza, but the good news is there's parking right out front. I went on a Friday right when they opened at 4 p.m. When I stepped inside my first thought... did this place just open? There are tables and chairs, but not much else. No photos or decor on the walls. There were two men behind the counter and I wasn't greeted, so I walked up to the digital menu to place my order. I also noticed the all-gender restroom, which I liked as an option, though it wasn't very clean during my visit. For food, I ordered several of the yubu rice balls. I tried the lemon pepper salmon, chipotle salmon, sweet barbecue gyro, and another one with crab. The sushi rice was cooked great and the fish tasted fresh. My son was a really big fan of the sweet barbecue gyro and liked it so much that he ordered another one. The barbecue sauce was very sweet, maybe a little too sweet. As for the little wrap around the rice, I couldn't quite figure out what it was. It didn't really add or take anything away. For three of them the price was just shy of $20, which felt a little on the pricey side. Overall, the yubu was a new experience for me and I really enjoyed it. I'd come back.

A little expensive in my opinion but I'd pay anything for "sushi". I do think they could have put more fish than rice. It felt like the rice almost filled up the tofu skin and the fish was just placed on top. Here's my review of the 4 pieces I ordered through DoorDash. Spicy Tuna 9/10: Personally really enjoyed this one. The buldak sauce was spicy good. Definitely not for anyone who can't handle spice. Fresh Salmon 8/10: Very fresh. Wish they filled it up more. It felt like rice with a side of salmon. Fresh Ginger Tuna 6/10: Average, nothing too special but it's like a loyal guy friend who will never be your boyfriend. Garlic Butter Crab 7/10: So good, but it's imitation crab so you can literally stop by the grocery market and make this yourself for a fraction of the price but if you're lazy like I am then it's a 8/10.

...today, after my chiropractor appointment, I was asked again to get more Korean Dubai cookies for my friend, Chloe. As I'm walking to the door, I pass another place where two guys are sitting close to the window and I notice they are eating stuffed inari sushi. I backup to see the sign above. ATOYUBU!!! I go in to check it out... and the lady starts talking to me in Korean, then quickly switches to English asking if it's my first time. People are casually sitting at small tables, so I discreetly glance to see what they're eating... then, decide to try it out... My choices: - Eel - Korean BBQ - Garlic Crab Hard to pick up with your hand, so I use a fork to eat from the top. Flip it over to eat the soy bean curd and I leave half of the rice. The eel was by far my favorite and the garlic crab was my least. Happy I got to try something new today. They are all about $5-$6 each...

For the price and taste of the food, its definitely worth to try~ I'm not a fan of inari but this surely changed my mind! I would like it less rice and more fillings, but it made me stuffed for sure

Ayoo I'm a sucker for inari whenever I eat at sushi restaurants so these yubu's blew me away! Don't even bother with any soy sauce or wasabi, the flavors are perfect as is. They provide chopsticks and even disposable gloves for better handling. I was using the small round paper plate kind of like a taco holder to keep everything in place. All of the yubus have pretty well balanced flavors. The only one that surprised me was the lemon pepper since it's what I normally see on a chicken wing... but it was really good with the little lemon slice on top. Of the four I ate, i can't really decide which one was my favorite since they were all good. They are packed with quite a lot of rice, so for small eaters maybe start with two pieces rather than three? The interior is nice and clean, with seating at tables and along the wall counter.

This place has been bookmark on my IG for the longest time. My bf and I ordered the fresh salmon, Lemon pepper salmon, spicy tuna , garlic butter crab and grilled bulgogi to shared. Everything was so good and the fresh was fresh as well. I love how these would be a quick and easy snack to go. I wished they had a location closer to me because I would get this so often. I'm already getting hungry writing this review about it.

I saw that this spot was on Yelp's list of top 100 spots to eat in the OC, so I knew I had to give it a try! The store has a large variety of yubus on their menu. If you haven't tried yubu before, the best way I'd describe it is a large sushi roll but instead of seaweed, it's wrapped in tofu skin. I ordered the fresh salmon, spicy grilled eel, and garlic butter crab yubus and I thought all of them were delicious!! As a sushi lover, my personal favorite was the fresh salmon one. All of the yubus were between around $4-$6, which I think is fair. Service here is limited but friendly. It's a super casual spot where most people get takeout, however, there are a few tables if you choose to dine in. The store is bright, modern, and clean.

    Huevi L.

Pretty small interior with limited seating (2-3 tables plus bar seating). Each tofu packet is about $5-7 but they are pretty big, so 3-4 would definitely fill you up. You order at a kiosk and wait for your number to be called. Takes a bit of time for the order to come out. Ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce packets on the side. - lemon salmon: 7.5/10. Lots of salmon and rice. A bit on the saltier side. The torching adds a nice smoky flavor. Very yummy and refreshing! - crab salmon: 7.0/10. Mayo heavy. Sweet and lots of crab. Very heavy and rich tasting.

Can these be make gluten free?

Without the rice? You can maybe try asking for the tofu skin, and only fish? But I'm not sure if the sauces with the fish are gluten free.

Is there anything else inside aside from the protein like rice or crab meat?

The Yubu does contain white rice and there are two options on the menu that have crab meat.

Is the tofu wrap gluten free?

This is my question too. If the tofu wraps are seasoned w soy sauce, it will contain wheat.

Do you have a tofu based/vegetarian option?

Incorrect. The rice contains minor bits of pork.

    Is there vegan options?

Well, you could order the imitation crab as it is not real meat....

Thought we had lucked out but honestly, everyone working here is super efficient and vigilant. Ordered the stir fried pork belly, corn cheese pancake, and rose tteokbokki. Corn pancake was HUGE like a large pizza. Very thin but super gooey, actually couldn't get a grip on it with the tongs because it was falling apart. Ended up having a corn cheese pancake salad but it was still great. Rose tteokbokki was pretty weak in terms of flavor, friends that I came with agreed that the flavoring wasn't as strong as it usually was, and they're regulars here! Pork belly dish deserves its own paragraph. I mean... holy. The perfect mix of salt on the juicy, fatty (and generous!) pork belly slices, the slightly sweet and sour kimchi, and soft, roasted garlic. If you're getting one thing on the menu, let it be this! Had a muscat iced drink to share for the table, we subbed out maekgeolli for milk for a nonalcoholic option. They also offered yogurt as a substitute! Very strong on the muscat flavor and so refreshing. Overall, we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I didn't even see them pick up or give back the credit card, that's how fast they move. Will be back!

It came with 2 sauces, salad, edamame, radish, rice, and a bowl of miso soup. It was delicious! Meat also came with a little grill for u to cook on and wasabi on the side. My partner ordered the curry pork cutlet. Pork cutlet was a tad bit dry, nothing crazy but the sauces that came with it made it better! We came the last hour of closing and there was still a couple of tables eating inside still. We were greeted upon arrival and we didn't need them to tell us how to order as the only thing on the table was the ordering tablet (self-explanatory). We ended up ordering the premium gyu katsu set along with the curry pork cutlet set that comes with rice and sides along with some beer. The drinks and food came out fairly quick and were steaming hot. I like that the curry came on the side so the pork cutlet wouldn't get soggy and you could pour over as much as you want over the cutlets. The veggie sides were a nice touch and complemented the meal well. The gyu katsu didn't taste like Japan to us, but it was still good especially with the wasabi and sweet soy sauce that came with it. If I came back here, I would give the beef tongue a try along with the creamy udon because those also seemed like a favorite for customers. Service here was friendly and we were checked up on multiple times without having to flag someone down.
