I ordered the Lobster White Truffle Mac and Cheese meal and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parm Mac and Cheese meal. The kind wait staff suggested we "BUILD YOUR OWN" and I should have listened-- two combos for $50+! The Lobster Mac was okay. I ordered it with extra truffle because I love truffle oil! It was very rich. It is probably the best thing on the menu. My side was the classic Mac empanada (Macpanada). That was NASTY! It was dry and burnt. Don't even waste your money or taste buds on it. The Chicken Parm was okay. If you're in the mood for pasta more than Mac, I suggest ordering that. The tater tots tasted like they were baked and were not crispy at all. Next, best thing on the menu was the chocolate chip cookie tote. A staff member told us they make the cookies fresh every morning. They were extremely soft and tasted homemade-- a plus. I LOVE Mac & Cheese so I had some high hopes and needless to say, I might have set my hopes a little too high. I saw some bowls that other customers had got made and I don't know, it just didn't look appealing so I decided to get the cuban grilled cheese with added mac & cheese. The sandwich was simply ok. The mac & cheese itself was very dry. All of the fountain options were out of order except 2or 3. My husband ordered a beef empanada and they gave him the spinach empanada instead. Obviously the only way to know that is to bite into it. Once he noticed they gave him the wrong one, he took it back and asked for a refund. The employee stated they can't give a refund for something that was eaten but...how would we know it was wrong without taking a bite in the first place? And it wasn't like he ate all of it, he took it back to prove it. All they offered was to give him another but honestly, he was already unhappy and no point in arguing over a few dollars, so he just left it alone. However, I would say I was unhappy with the customer service they provided him. Hopefully as a new establishment, they will work out the kinks but I don't see myself returning. read more

I got the Mac & cheese bites with a side of cheese sauce and the lobster Mac & cheese. I loved that they had low carb options. You can choose a base of macaroni noodles, broccoli, or other veggies. They add the cheese base and sliced/shredded cheese based on what you ordered....and mix. They then feed it through the oven to melt things. Meal presentation is cute with the heart shaped bowls. It was a nice touch. I loved the fact that it was a black owned business. The food was phenomenal in my opinion. The lobster amount used was sufficient. The service was good but I think that I could have used a little more guidance. It was my first time there and I wasn't sure if I could add additional things or if I was only allowed what was on the menu. Can other toppings be added? Soon as you walk in you get a sense of cheerfulness, probably due to the decorative wall paper and colorful sitting. I was immediately greeted by 3 workers and asked if I had been there before. After answering I was given the run down on how I could order and build something custom. After looking at the many ingredients and gandering at the menu the owner came from the back and introduced herself. She spoke with me for a few and decided since it was my first time there she would make my food. After still being overwhelmed with the choices, I asked the staff and they recommended the best of both worlds. The food took less than 10 minutes to prepare and be served. As I sat down to eat, I noticed the movie playing on the tv, The Lorax. Overall the sandwich was good, it felt like food I'd definitely want to eat to comfort myself. I came here with friends this morning and we arrived right at 11am. We were the first people in line, but it quickly filled up right after us. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese bowl and did broccoli instead of pasta since I'm doing keto. The broccoli was a little harder than I would have liked, but it was still good. The bowl was filling, even though it didn't look that big. It came in a cute heart shaped bowl too. The only other downside is the price. I got water for a drink, so that was free but the bowl was $26!! Def not worth that at all. It looked like a $9 bowl. My friends got a Cuban with fried Mac and cheese bites and the other one got the best of both worlds. Both of them enjoyed their sandwiches and neither could finish the whole thing, so they took the other halves to go. My friend who ordered the Cuban wasn't a fan that the ham was diced, but I guess it makes sense if you're mixing that in the Mac and cheese. She said sliced ham would have been nicer, but she said it was still good. It was clean inside and the employees were very friendly and helpful. If I come back, I'm not ordering the lobster bowl again because it was too expensive. I'll prob try another bowl out. read more

I had such high hopes because I LOVE macaroni and cheese but this place didn't deliver. Super cute inside and clean. Plenty of parking because it's in a strip with other stores. It's like the Chipotle of mac and cheese. You pick a base, add some cheese, add your mix ins and protein. I did the pasta with cheese sauce, scallions and tomatoes and "grilled" chicken and topped with Pepper Jack. Ehhhh.....1st thing is that the chicken looked like a came from a can.....very unnatural in color and no grill marks. The cheese sauce was bland and kind of gritty.....I added several packs of pepper and salt for more flavor. I also didn't care for the pricing. It's $12.99 for a bowl but what if I didn't want a protein? I felt obligated to get one since I was paying for it. The employees were friendly and it was busy but the food just didn't deliver. I probably would not go back. They also had a few of the sodas that didn't work and said out of order. But none of that would matter if the mac and cheese was good. I wish them well..... read more

Decided to finally try this place 2 weeks after it opened and it's honestly still really busy. The line was super long (we went around 7:30p on a Friday night) so we placed an online order to try and avoid waiting in line. The inside was pretty cute with about 6-8 tables to sit down. It gives outdoor hang-out vibes but indoors :) I tried to order the Lobster Truffle Mac n Cheese sandwich and some cookies but unfortunately they ran out and I didn't find out until waiting about an hour. The management offered to make up for this by letting us order whatever was available up to the cost of the lobster mac n cheese sandwich so we ended up getting the Cuban and some chewy marshmallow bars. We ordered 2 of the lobster rolls so we had to request a refund online for this. Unfortunately I still haven't heard back. However, the food that we DID try was simply amazing! The bread was grilled to perfection and everything in the Cuban harmonized so well together! The sauce the food came with was somewhat of a tomato bisque. I should have asked for more because it was heavenly. The proportions were enough to fill me up! I definitely would like to come back to try the things I initially ordered, however I'll probably come back once the initial hype dies down a little first! This is a relatively new place and it was clean and looked good.The staff were personable and very helpful with helping us choose what we got. Kiddo didn't care for the kid Mac n cheese. Hubby and I both REALLY enjoyed the Best of Both Worlds sandwich. Our other Mac and cheese build your own bowl was ehh...if you don't like breadcrumbs make sure you let them know before they put it on your bowl. Not sure I would make the hour long drive but if we are in the area I might try it again. read more

After waiting in a barely moving line for 20 minutes, we were told that they ran out of cheese sauce. Not sure how that happens at a Mac and CHEESE place but it did. What a cute place! i love the decor inside. My daughter liked the fact that she could make her own concoction. She had original cheese sauce, parmesan, swiss cheese, green onions in hers. And I enjoyed my short rib mac n cheese bowl adding bleu cheese crumbles without mushrooms which were not available that first time we met. I also had the chocolate chip cookie cup which were yummy mini 1 bit cookies. The corkscrew pasta was a nice change from the usual elbow macaroni. I felt like the corkscrew pasta made the cheese cling on just a bit more. You would think for the price, you would have thought there should have been a bigger portion, but honestly, the medium heart shaped bowl was just enough to make me full but not stuffed. The second time, my daughter got the same thing, but I tried the chicken parmesan mac n cheese. Well, it was okay. I would get the short rib mac and cheese adding bleu cheese crumbles again over that to be perfectly honest. My daughter loved this place which is always a plus because she is very picky. I really wanted to love this place. The inside if cute and clean and the staff very patient and friendly. So many choices so I picked many. I got broccoli and other veges and threw in some short ribs. I got a standard Mac n cheese bowl with the adding of my choice. A little pricey but sadly typical for the current restaurant world. The main cheese option is the liquid yellow cheese which was my primary disappointment of the meal- quite velvets like. They do add slices of real cheese to the top but the dominant flavor is the unimpressive yellow sauce. The short ribs were delicious in the bowl. Strangely, the broccoli they give you isn't bite sized, it's a couple enormous pieces 1.5-2 inches that won't fit in your mouth and no knife to cut them up. Seems like giving you smaller pieces to mix in might be better. All in all, decent Mac n cheese meal, not impressive. If you like Mac n cheese it's acceptable. read more

Maybe a little less than fine....I ordered a vegan bowl, which I thought would be pasta with vegetables and vegan "sausage" on top. The vegetables were soft and overcooked, incomplete because they were out of some of them, and--no pasta. Maybe it wasn't supposed to have any? My companion liked the grilled cheese, but said the mac and cheese was nothing to write home about--strange, since that's their specialty--and didn't eat most of it.The whole thing cost us around $40 plus tip, without drinks as their soda machine was down and they didn't have water--a little steep for what we got, imo. The food was Bad! We would never return to this establishment. We tried the gluten-free options where they did not change their gloves and used the same butter on the sandwich they use on regular bread. When the gluten-free and regular food came out of the little oven was not hot all the way through. When it came out of the oven they drenched the food with a cheap cheese sauce that had no flavor. I ordered the "Where is the Lobster?" dish and found very little for the price. Nats were flying around, the lead shift person had food in his beard, and even though they made the sandwich wrong the first time, both were soggy and fell apart. Decided to try a Classic Bowl of Mac and Cheese...though you are able to add an additional slice or two of various cheese they are skimpy with their cheese sauce. This $10.00 bowl was bland and could barely taste any cheddar in it. You're better off sticking with Stouffer's Mac and Cheese or Kraft's Macaroni in a box...both taste a lot better and a lot cheaper. Oh, and if you want the Lobster Mac and cheese be prepared to spend $23 for a bowl of that. You're better off going to Mason's Lobster Rolls and getting a ton of lobster meat for about the same price. read more
