This review is based upon Uber Eats relationship with Little Italy and delivery and this case no delivery. Pizza ordered through Uber Eats was cancelled five minutes before ETA and money refunded because Uber Eats driver had issue and could not complete the order. Kind of a "our bad" but we gave your money back and you are on your own. We ordered from another restaurant and will not go back to Little Italy again. Who has accountability for the review? I tried to put Uber Eats down and they do not come up as a business. Fishy right. I recommend not using Uber Eats and going direct to restaurants as this seems to be increasing in frequency. Uber Eats has ability to provide credits for failed deliveries but failed to offer and do anything to fix the issue. Beware as I would not go through Uber Eats again. read more

I love calzones and order them anytime I eat at Italian restaurants, this was the first time ordering from little Italy pizza, we ordered online and had it delivered by one of the delivery services. I ordered the cheese steak calzone and it was delicious. Most calzones are only filled heavily in the middle and have a lot of thick breading on the ends, this calzone had an even filling with nice thickness of crust on the ends, perfect amount of cheese and the steak put it on a different level of flavor. It also came with a side of marinara sauce that was delicious on top. I can usually eat over half of a large pizza on my own but I had to put half of this calzone in the fridge because it was quite large, I will definitely be having the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The pricing was comparable to any other local Italian restaurant. My wife had the spaghetti and loved it, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious and the portion was also quite large. The good: white pizza was to die for!! You must try. Took over 20 minutes. The bad: they need a general manager to supervise things, for example There were several tables that needed to be cleaned. I had to go get my own soda refill while there I noticed the salad station was wide open to the elements. Let me point out that we were the only eat in customers, so it's not like they were busy. The hand towels in the restrooms (both of them) were out, a few table napkins were provided instead, a poor substitute. All the while two girls were sitting on bar stools behind the register. And, we noticed a lot of back door usage, that's a potential for theft. Girls were very pleasant. read more

Little Italy Pizza is a new pizzeria located in Mt Pleasant Market Place shopping center in Chesapeake. Connecting roads are Mt Pleasant Rd and Centerville Turnpike. The restaurant location is within the former Casa Di Costanzo Pizza where the owners recently retired. I had my first meal from here Sunday afternoon. We did a carry out order that included 2 large pepperoni pizzas with a salad and an order of garlic knots. We made the order over the phone via the slice app so all we needed to do was go pick it up. Upon pickup we watched them remove both pizzas from the oven, slice them and box them and we were on our way. Within a few moments the pies were home and plated. The warm fresh dough of the pizza had just enough flexibility to semi fold the slice so that the point kept it's shape. The sauce was perfectly between sweet and bitter without being acidic. The cheese blend was excellent and the pepperoni was plentiful. These pies had no chance in **** and were swiftly devoured as were the salad and garlic knots. Excellent meal. Fair price and even though they were fairly busy just before 5pm when we picked up the order, the staff was on the ball and working like a well oiled machine! An easy 5 stars. read more

We started with appetizer of fried zucchini. It was freshly made still steaming hot although it came with a pasta sauce I got a ranch on the side. Medium size white pizza, which is like a margarita. We ordered through Grubhub the broccoli bites, Rueben, stuffed shells and lasagna. We got a phone call from the restaurant saying they were out of broccoli bites. I asked for a substitute and they said sure. Ordered the jalapeño poppers. Then she goes, I am sorry, we don't have the Rueben either. Do you want something different? I said another sandwich which she says they are out of. Then ordered the pastrami and Swiss, out of that too. Then she goes, we are out of all sandwiches. I ordered a sub instead. We get our order... which had the stuffed shells which had THREE little shells in it!! Three!! The lasagna was not terrible, the three shells were good. The sub was so nasty I could not finish it. Then they gave us garlic knots and a cheese pizza too which I do not know if it went with someone else's order.... I do not recommend and will definitely not be ordering from them again. Normally if a restaurant is OK then I would give it another try, I cannot justify buying from them again. read more

Went here yesterday for annual Wood Guild Christmas dinner. Best Italian food I've had in a long time. I like eating local and this place hit the spot. Excellent calzones, pizza, ziti. Overall the food was good. The Alfredo was good. But the spaghetti was fairly bland. And the meatballs are a very bland weird mash. The brushetta was okay but had way too much cheese on it as well as they put it on hot food so the cheese was melting and gooey. We got the limoncello cake for dessert. The food is quite good, especially the Chicken Cacciatore, Chicken Parmesan, and Combo Stromboli. The garlic knots are also very good, and I love their marinara. I've also tried the pizza, Philly steak and cheese sub, Chicken Marsala, and Chicken Alfredo pasta. I liked them all, although the Chicken Alfredo could use a tad more seasoning. The service has improved a lot lately. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the large portions. Definitely give it a try. read more

Finally, a great local place to get New York style pizza! The dough was perfect, light and crunchy. I also tried the meatballs, very good flavor. the pasta was al dente, not overcooked, and the marinara sauce delicious . The chicken,however, was tough and overcooked. We went on a Wednesday night and ate in the restaurant. The waiters and waitresses on staff were very nice. I had my special needs son and they were very attentive. Been here a couple times and pizza was pretty good, however today I went for lunch and I was the only customer in the restaurant and waited five minutes before someone acknowledged my presence and then was told to pick a seat and they would be right with me... I sat for 15 minutes while this lady played on her phone so I got up and walked out, she looked up from her phone but didn't even say a word. Pizza was below average. Dry. Nothing that makes it stand out at all. Chicken fingers were cooked to a crisp, literally, and were a few shades away from a burnt look. They, too, were dry. Clearly overcooked and required a nearby glass of water to chase each bite down. If I didn't order it to go and already arrived at my house I would have taken it back. This place used to be one of the best pizza places in the area when it was Casa di Costanzo. Huge step backwards with this first experience as Little Italy and it will be my last. read more

A whole lot of nope. Ordered the garlic knots, margarita pizza and Chicken Parmesan. Garlic knots are a good portion for the price, but garlic was so raw...it will bite for days. We went to Little Italy the day after Thanksgiving and the restaurant was empty. We were nervous since that is not usually a great sign. However, the food was fantastic! We ordered the fried pickles, meat lovers pizza, and spaghetti carbonara. We could not have been more pleased with the food or the service.
