The whole experience is lost and the name means Pure Life.. this is like in nyc where all the cvs shelves are locked up because of a few criminals. Instead of dealing with the problem the problem is passed down to everyone. I went to Maman for my second cup because Puta Vida would not refill my glass cup without first putting it into another throwaway cup. The waste. Driving slowly through plaza, we went from end to end. We turned around and drove back in the opposite direction, looking for address numbers and counted down until we finally saw 7 2 1. The reason we missed it on the first pass is because they had their Marquee lights turned OFF and the apron lights in front were also off. We entered at 7 PM and were told that on Sundays they like to close early so they were only offering take out. (Online and on front door posted hours state open until 8 PM on Sunday.) I already know that all the ingredients here are pretty added-sugar-free, that many of the smoothies use coconut water, that the green juices are very green. This is a woman-owned business, and a reason for the owners opening came from their passion for healthy ingredients after having a health issue. There Instagram is constantly thanking their employees. I love love love the green smoothies/juices. There are more than one without bananas, which I enjoy. I had one recently that I loved loved loved so much. This location is in a terribly run down plaza and in the corner of the plaza not even near the anchor stores, so you really may not think much of this spot. However, this also means plenty of parking, a hidden gem, and in a bit of a healthy food desert on Military. Smoothie Whirl'd is impeccably clean inside and the smoothie workspace is open to everyone in the store. It has quite a following, with lines forming everytime I've stopped by, and I would definitely describe folks as locals, notably working folks, students (as in, people in nurse uniforms, construction hats, and teenagers in high school garb). Can't beat great flavors, healthy eats, cool local owners, and my favorite green drinks!
